I looked up from my book, It had been 3 week since the fateful day where we were transported to this World.
I set the book down, its silver cover shining in the light.
"Sigh" they had me reading grimoires in the hopes i would awaken any magic, but no luck.
The systems screen was mocking me, while everyone else had awakened a cool ability i had Evolution, and it did nothing since i lacked any Mana to activate it.
"Whats wrong Ezra, still struggling" her voice was soft, per usual "Yea, i cant seem to do anything to awaken any elements" my glasses were slowly slipping down my nose.
She sat down next to me "You'll figure it out soon, we all believe you can" i looked out towards the forest "Wonder why we were summoned by the Church"
She shrugged "who knows" she stood up and offered me her hand "Lets get going, or we might miss lunch" i chuckled and picked up the book, and we got moving through the halls of the Knights Guild.
there were Hundreds of swords, lining the walls, they all looked uniform, We entered the chow hall and there was a line of over a hundred knights waiting to be served lunch.
"looks like were a little late" i smiled, and looked around for our Table.
In the back left corner was the table.
"Im just going to wait till the line dies down a little" she sighed "I guess ill join you, i dont want to wait alone"
we walked over "Hey Juno and Ezra, come sit with us"
We already planned to, i swear they lacked most braincells.
we sat down at the benches "So why were you two Late" of fucking course they would think we were doing something.
Junos face was getting red "no-- no we were talking" multiple of the other girls raised their eyebrows, i lifted the book "I was reading, dont pull me into your drama please"
"So hows yalls traning been going?" i asked and josh as the 'Popular kid' he immediately answered "Well im going to be called the Hero"
I heard some mumbling from a few others "And hows your attempt at awakening going" i moved the the system screen over to him "Look for yourself" he leaned in closer "Maybe you just arent cut out for this"
i Frowned "Maybe, but ill give it my all" someone snickered at what i said.
I had to act like i didnt notice their comments, and honestly if Juno hadnt been so encouraging then i would have left a long time ago, not that anyone would care.
i looked back to see that the line was only down by a few people "ill see yall at Dinner" i stood up and walked towards the doors "Ezra where are you going?" Arthur yelled from the table, i shrugged "to maybe do something with myself"
he picked up his tray and quickly caught up to me "Ill help you Train with swords" i nodded "Sure"
i waited next to the door while he went to throw out his food.
once he was done we began to head towards the sand pits.
the trees swayed while the sun illuminated everything "so choose any type of sword" i honestly dont think swords would fit me at all "What would you recommend for me?"
I looked through the small selection "Well i suppose potentially a dagger could work well with your agility and smaller build, but a rapier could also work well"
i picked up the dagger "so now what?" he smiled "why dont we have a little duel, so i can gauge your talent"
i sighed and stood on the opposite side of the field.
"3" i breathed out "2" the wind was causing my hair to move around "1" i pushed my right foot forward and before we made contact some lights flashed around us.
