Chapter 9 - Purity in Peril

"Holy crap! My… my purity!" Ali thought in an aggrieved state.

Soon, he felt a dull pain as Sara started sucking pure Yin energy from his body along with the kiss. A feeling of lightness appeared in his body as the Nine-Nine Extreme Yin formation's effect in his body loosened a bit.

After a few minutes, their lips disconnected and she sat cross-legged with her eyes shut, digesting these pure Yin energies that she just absorbed. He stared at her in disbelief.

Even without any communication between them, he figured she somehow understood his current predicament with the Yin formation after shuffling through his memories and was trying to help him by absorbing these rampart pure Yin energies.

He looked at the serene, beautiful face of Sara and countless thoughts that were unknown to him in his previous life started appearing in his mind.

After some time, she slowly opened her eyes to find a teary-eyed man bawling on the ground while clutching his head as if he has been ravaged multiple times in a row.

"My purity! ...Aaah!" he wailed, rolling back and forth like a soccer player faking an injury.

"My penance for thousands of years! …Aaah!" he cried, pounding the floor for emphasis.

"My oath of eternal sincerity! Shattered like a cheap porcelain! …Aaah!"

"Pui!", she almost puked. She couldn't understand if he's faking it or he was seriously traumatized.

"DON'T! Don't come near me!" he yelled hysterically as she approached.

She hesitated not sure how to behave.

He got up and ran shouting while she chased him unwilling to let him escape.

"Somebody! Help! There's a witch trying to ravage me!"

Annoyed, she knocked him on his head causing him to roll a few meters with another unicorn in his head.

Afraid of him running around, she sat on his stomach pinning him to the ground causing him to struggle fiercely, arms flailing.

"Please spare me! Anything but that…" he yelled.

"Shut up!" she angrily slapped a hand over his mouth, muffling further pleas into indignant mumbles.

Whoosh!

A flying chariot streaked across the sky and halted just above them like a bolt, appearing as if a divine messenger heard Ali's prayers.

"Don't worry, brother! I'll save you!" a noble voice sounded from it.

The doors to the chariot opened with a swirl of fog descended grabbing the attention of both Sara and Ali. A sweet aroma spread in the air to highlight a handsome young man clad in pristine white robes. His figure dramatically sparkled by a peacock feather rested in his hair while air was blowing out of a delicate paper fan twirled between his fingers.

He had the smile of a kind-hearted neighbor who never lost an argument while his attire hinted at some proud noble with a graceful bearing—the epitome of a perfect hero to save a damsel in distress.

The chariot vanished into thin air.

Then he took a clear look at the scene below him and gawked. He blinked, rubbed his eyes. Blinked again.

"Lady… surely you don't need to be this, uh… intense," he said, attempting diplomacy while fanning himself.

He continued with a solemn moral air, "Sowing virtue will only lead to more virtue. While violence—"

She responded with a glance that hinted like a ghost wanting to eat someone alive and released the pressure of her superior cultivation which surged toward his body like a thunderstorm.

He paled.

"—while violence, of course, is sometimes perfectly understandable," he quickly corrected, voice shaking.

"What. Did. You. Say?" Sara asked while cracking her knuckles with popping sounds, ready to pounce upon him.

"I'm sorry for interrupting!" he yelped while turning to flee. "Just pretend I was never here. Please carry on."

But how can he be quicker than her. She appeared behind him in a flash, grabbed his collar and lifted him in the air.

"Mercy! I didn't see anything here! I'll never try to save another man ever in my life! Ever! I swear on my great-great grandpa's topknot!" he cried.

"You dare to talk nonsense with me," she spoke while beating him up.

"Speak! Who are you? Why did you come here?" Sara threatened him.

"My name is Ishan. Bohoo! I'm.. I'm just a poor guy who was coincidentally travelling through here when I heard someone's plea for help. Since I'm a noble and upright gentleman…., I couldn't ignore someone in distress and came to save," the boy replied.

'Damn! That old geyser set me up. There's no great opportunity here. This seems more like a trap,' Ishan thought feeling aggrieved.

Sara frowned. Even an idiot wouldn't believe this guy with a pretty face, wearing decent clothes and travelling in a lavish chariot to be poor. This was the first time she was meeting this man and he didn't resemble anyone worth knowing for her.

She wasn't able to handle one joker when another suddenly popped out of nowhere to annoy her.

Alister slowly backed away sensing an opportunity to quietly sneak away while she's busy with the pretty boy but

BANG!

Ishan's failing body fell straight at him causing both of them to land in a heap of soil with a crash. The paper fan that had snapped in half slowly floated above them.

"Just accept it. You're mine now. Don't even try to escape!" she said coldly.

Lifting the face that was planted to the ground, Ali barely spoke, "You.. you look rich, You must have some escape treasures. Use them Quick!"

"Huh?!" Ishan was confused.

"Hurry up! Otherwise, she'll eat you alive. She's fiercer than a tigress," Ali whispered in a dead serious tone. "I don't want another man to go through what I just experienced."

A visible shiver ran down the boy's spine as he imagined what kind of torture Ali must've experienced. He hurriedly took out a talisman and activated it.

'A teleportation talisman! I'm saved!' Alister thought.

FLASH!

Two boys reappeared at the edge of the forest near a mountain valley.

"How far did we travel?" Ali turned to the boy with the question.

"About 5 kilometers… I think," he stammered.

Just then, a message from the system popped in his head—but more importantly, the hairs on Ali's neck rose. He could somehow feel her moving in his direction, fast and furious.

"She's coming," Alister said grimly.

Ishan gulped, "W-What do we do?!"

"How fast can your chariot travel?" Alister inquired.

"Fast but probably not able to outrun her," Ishan replied.

Alister grabbed Ishan's shoulders and said, "Use your chariot and run, brother! You can escape if you are quick. Use any escape treasure you have left."

Ishana became emotional seeing a stranger caring for him while calling him brother, "What about you?"

"She can sense me. There's no escape for me. Besides I don't want to live after having lost my purity." Ali continued in a dejected voice, "I'll go the other way to distract her. This way at least one of us has chance to escape. Since you came to rescue me, you're my brother even though we don't know much about each other and just met today."

He turned to run while giving some parting words with lost hope, "Remember my name 'Alister' and don't think of taking revenge for me. If fate allows, let's be brothers again in next life. Just live a happy and fulfilled life for me."

Ishan bowed and reluctantly climbed on his chariot with misty eyes, "I'll never forget your kindness in this life, brother."

And then, he flew off.

Alister sighed running towards the mountain preparing himself for the worst.

Eventually, Sara caught up to him. After giving a few punches and kicks, she finally calmed down and released him. Both of them sat silently, the lady in total confusion on how to control him and the boy with listless eyes as if he lost all hope in life.

"Why can't you just behave and come with me peacefully?" Sara asked, annoyed.

"You just took away my purity and made use of me for improving your cultivation. There's no way I'll work for you," Alister was determined to refuse obeying her.

"You! That was just a kiss. It's not like I raped you!" she snapped. "Moreover, I should be the offended one here!"

Strangely, both of them did not try to use the seals that they planted onto each other.

"I would rather die than become your toy!" Alister declared.

"Now what do I do?" the lady voiced in low volume.

"Please leave me alone, go as far from me as you can," Ali stood up while saying as if resigned to his fate and left in a forlorn tone.

The lady decided not to follow him for now.

"Hey, evil dude," he muttered, glancing over his shoulder after trekking a few kilometers into the mountains, "is she tailing me?"

[She went in another direction.]

He slumped against a tree in pure relief. "That was close," he exhaled.

"I hope I won't see her again. What a violent woman! Even in this new body, why is everyone after my purity so much? Can't a guy just reincarnate in peace?"

He knew that she will definitely find him after some time but at least he got some time to adjust to his new body and the world around him.

He stayed quiet settling his thoughts. The series of events he experienced were too quick and overwhelming even for him that he couldn't sort it out in a short while.

"Let's look around this world first."
