Receiving the call, the nearby police headquarters dispatched their most highly-trained unit to hopefully put an end to the man who was now making his way even further island.
As he ran, Okiji noticed his path ahead had been intercepted by another police unit. These ones looked stronger than the last, though. Instead of stopping to fight, he decided to do a running attack.
He jumped up over them, swinging his sword across beneath him, hoping to slash them. However, they were more prepared than he anticipated. Moving as one unit, they blocked his attack with shields.
As the other police officers had no been equipped this way, this defensive move caught Okiji off guard. When he landed, instead of running like he originally planned, he decided to turn around and face the unit, ready for a fight.
Instead of having guns, they carried swords as well. While they were strong in numbers, each one of them was strong on their own. However, when they all came at Okiji at once, he struggled to keep up.
He was able to get a few good cuts in, knocking a few of them off of him. It didn't help though, because with such a large squadron, they were able to easily continue replenishing. It seemed like it would never stop. Eventually, Okiji began to use advanced tactics, spiraling around once more, allowing him to finally eliminate the last of his opponents.
Finally, as the last bodies fell to the ground, Okiji lowered his swords once more. Looking out at the countryside, he was able to see that only one enemy remained. This one looked different. He appeared stronger. Under the midday sun, Okiji could tell this was going to be an exceptional fight.
"So," the man said. "You really are a criminal." He seemed impressed yet disgusted by the exceptional performance Okiji had just put on.
Okiji, raising his swords to fight, responded.
"I don't know. I guess you'll just have to find out."
