The next morning, the intercom buzzed. I headed to the front door.
Opening it, I saw a familiar figure—a slender girl in a black gothic lolita outfit.
She looked at me and said simply, "Ddraig, it's been a while."
No way...!
It's—
"Ophis...!?"
My voice cracked with shock. How could it not? This was too unexpected!
I instantly went on high alert, and everyone else at the door shifted into battle stances. Understandably so.
This girl's the leader of the Khaos Brigade, a group that's caused massive damage to every faction! The Infinite Dragon God, the world's strongest being!
Why the hell is she visiting my house? Is this place some critical stronghold for the final boss to just show up!?
Tension gripped the room at Ophis's arrival.
Sensei stepped between us and Ophis. "Hold it! I told you last night—no killing intent, no attacks! She won't attack either! Even if she did, we couldn't win, not even together!"
Rias snapped, "That dragon leads a terrorist group attacking every faction! She's our enemy, responsible for countless damages! Why bring her here, to this house, a key alliance hub!? Azazel, don't tell me..."
She paused, realization dawning. "You didn't tell my brother or Michael, did you?"
This town's a vital hub for negotiations between Heaven and the Underworld, maintained by angels, fallen angels, and devils. For Ophis to get here, Sensei either persuaded or tricked the staff.
Probably the latter.
No word from the devil side, and Irina and Reina's reactions suggested they weren't informed either. A visitor of this caliber should have been announced.
As Rias said, Sensei brought Ophis here behind Sirzechs and Michael's backs.
Rias's anger flared. "This violates the alliance, Azazel! Even you, who preached cooperation, can't dodge accountability for this!"
She softened, reconsidering. "But you've always pushed for peace. There's a reason you brought her here, isn't there?"
Exactly. Sensei's always championed inter-faction harmony and saved us countless times with his knowledge. He's a slacking, Sacred Gear-obsessed, unmarried governor, but he's got a good heart. No reason to doubt him.
"Hey, Ise... you were thinking something rude, weren't you?" Sensei said.
"Haha, just your imagination!"
Please don't read my mind.
Tia stepped forward. "Azazel's a slacker and Sacred Gear nerd, but he wouldn't lead the world to ruin. I say we trust him."
Hey! She said exactly what I was thinking!
"What!?" Sensei barked. "Want me to ruin you!?"
So much for peaceful vibes!
Sensei coughed. "I'm deceiving a lot of people to get her here. But her wish could shake the Khaos Brigade's very existence. To avoid bloodshed, I deemed this necessary. I'm sorry, but please, just hear her out."
He bowed again. His actions always carry weight. He wouldn't do this as a prank. Bringing Ophis here must mean something big.
"I trust Sensei," I said with a wry smile, lowering my guard. "Besides, we can't win anyway, so let's hear her out."
Everyone nodded, agreeing.
Now, about Ophis... one more thing bugs me. "So, who else from Vali's team is coming?"
Sensei started to answer when a small magic circle appeared at the entrance. Out stepped a witch in a pointed hat and cape—Lefay—and a large gray wolf.
I know that vibe! That wolf nearly killed me multiple times!
"Greetings, everyone. I'm Lefay Pendragon. Thanks for Kyoto," she said politely, bowing. "This is Fenrir-chan."
Chan for Fenrir!? She called that giant stone golem "Go-kun" in Kyoto, too. This girl's something else.
Another magic circle appeared, and a glamorous woman stepped out, immediately hugging me. "Long time, Red Dragon Emperor-chin! Still love boobs?"
"Love 'em! ...Wait, no! Kuroka! What's with this lineup!?"
Yup, it's Koneko's sister, Kuroka. Damn, her chest feels amazing...
So, just these two from Vali's team?
Ophis stared at me as Kuroka clung. "I, want, talk."
"Alright, have some tea," Sensei said. "I'm risking my neck deceiving factions for this setup. If it goes south, I'm toast, so make it work."
"Fine..." I sighed. Tea with the Infinite Dragon God, huh?
We moved to the VIP room. The Gremory team (minus Koneko, resting), Miu, Alice, Irina, Reina, Ravel, Tia, Ignis, Sensei, and Vali's team—Lefay, Fenrir, Kuroka—plus Ophis. An unthinkable lineup.
Everyone's expressions were tense, but honestly, I'm more worried about Ignis, the ultimate mood-killer, being here in physical form. Please, don't do anything weird, like groping someone!
"Tea's ready," Akeno said, cautiously serving Vali's team and Ophis.
Lefay thanked her and sipped, Kuroka munched on snacks, and Fenrir napped comfortably by Lefay's side. Zero tension, as usual.
Kiba and Gasper joined us. Kiba stood at the back, calm but alert, ready to move if needed. Gasper was with Koneko, likely calming her down.
Now, the Dragon God in front of me. I whispered to Sensei, "What exactly do I do?"
"Just answer her questions. She's curious about you. It's a chance to understand her."
"Answer her? That's it? You're throwing me to the wolves!"
"She won't attack. Unlike Vali or Cao Cao, she's not aggressive, except toward Great Red. You're representing the factions. Make it a good tea party!"
"You're leaving it to me!?"
Can I strangle him?
With exams looming, why am I stuck with this insane event?
As Sensei and I whispered, Tia spoke up. "So, why are you here?"
Nice, Tia! Cutting to the chase. You're the reliable big sister!
Ophis sipped her tea, set the cup down, and said, "I, want to talk to Ddraig. Ddraig, quit being a Heavenly Dragon?"
Uh... what? That's out of nowhere.
I blinked. "What do you mean?"
"Your host, growing differently. I, very curious. Different from past Heavenly Dragons. Vali, too. Very curious."
Our growth, huh?
She continued, "I, watched your battles. Ddraig, evolved differently. Power waves, unique. First time, in my knowledge."
Different evolution... maybe the Heavenly Might and Heavenly Strike? She's been watching us, and I didn't even notice.
She tilted her head cutely. "So, I ask. Ddraig, what will you become?"
What to say... "I trained like crazy and ended up here"? No, that won't cut it.
A gem glowed on my left hand—Ddraig. ["I don't know, Ophis. I don't know what he wants to become."]
"...I see."
["But his reason for evolving is simple and clear."]
"What's that?"
Ddraig paused, then answered quietly, ["He seeks new power to protect. He knows he can't save everything, yet he tries. A core resolve drives him. As long as it holds, he won't stop. My partner will keep evolving."]
A core resolve, huh? Ddraig's making it sound grand, but it's not that big. Still, he's not wrong. I'm not stopping anytime soon.
Ophis fell silent, then continued, "Two Heavenly Dragons, you mixed my infinity and Great Red's dream into the 'Domination' spell. Ddraig, why seek to be a Tyrant?"
["...I sought power. It led to my destruction. Back then, I couldn't see beyond 'Domination.'"]
"I, don't understand 'Domination.' Khaos Brigade seeks it. I don't. Great Red and I, not 'Domination.'"
["Beings born strong like you, from infinite nothingness or dreamlike illusion, can't grasp 'Domination.' Ophis, you emerged from the dimensional gap into this world. What have you seen? What do you seek? Why do you want to return home?"]
"I, also have questions. Ddraig, why become something else? Abandon 'Domination'? What lies ahead?"
Question for a question, huh? What lies ahead for me? I won't know until I get there...
Then—
["Ddraig, become Breast Dragon Emperor? Touching breasts, surpass Heavenly Dragon? Ddraig, become dragon of breasts?"]
"PFFT!?" I spat out my tea.
What!? The Infinite Dragon God just dropped that word!
Dragon of breasts!?
["Ugh... even you...! I... I'm fading...!"] Ddraig wheezed.
Ddraig, no! You're hyperventilating! Stay strong, it's not that bad!
Ignis piled on. "Exactly! Ddraig's surpassing Heavenly Dragons to become... Breast Dragon! Boob power is infinite! From Red Dragon Emperor to Red Breast Dragon Emperor!"
["Gah! qwertyfujiko...!"] Ddraig let out an incoherent scream.
This is bad! Way too bad!
"Stop tormenting Ddraig! Red Breast Dragon Emperor!? That's got zero dignity!"
Ddraig, hang in there!
["Kyaa! Ddraig!"] ["Hold on, Ddraig!"] I heard Elsha and Belzard's cries. What's happening to him!?
Explain this situation!
Then—
["Ugh... Ddraig... we'll never forget you..."]
["D-Draig! You were the best partner... rest in peace!"]
He's dead!? Ddraig's dead!?
["Amen!"]
"DDRAIG!!!" I roared.
After some chaos, Ophis, Kuroka, and the others ended up staying at my house for a while.
