The sun settled over a vast emerald forest, its golden light weaving through the canopy like threads of living fire. The air thrummed with life—birds called from the treetops, and the leaves whispered secrets beneath a passing breeze.
At the heart of it all sat a young boy, motionless, deep in meditation. His eyes were shut tight, his brow furrowed in solemn focus. Beside him lay a hand-carved bo staff and a strange, rune-etched artifact that pulsed faintly with hidden power.
Zack was so deeply immersed in his communion with the earth that neither the grinding of grasses beneath herds of audacious antelopes nor the unscripted songs of birds stirred him from his trance. No sound, no motion—not even the subtle warnings of predatory life could be able to pierce the veil of his focus.
The forest, ancient and wild, seemed to embrace him—as though it had long awaited his arrival.
He was calming in body and mind to escape his daily life's pressure and stress.next time how would think twice before offending people when all he wanted was peaceful coexistence.
He doesn't have to be friends with them for that to happen.
In the quiet and blissful space, Zach laid down all his troubles bare to the ground, thinking too much can really take it's toll on someone's body .
suddenly a pulse of energy tore through the clearing. The wind stilled. The ground shimmered. The forest held its breath.
The strange pulse of energy seemed to envelope Zach in a bright glow. The air twisted and animal ran from the strange energy that was emitted by Zach. This strange light covered Zach's entire body .
It seemed to phasing in and other at the edges of his skin .
After a few moments the bright white light turned green all those anomalies didn't appear.
It was as if the green light was now coming from Zach's own body . This new light Resonated with his breath and heart as Zach slowly opened his eyes the strange light around his body vanished .
Disturbed by the sudden, unnatural quiet, Zack opened his eyes—rich and dark as fertile earth, glinting in the amber light.
Zach got up from his meditative stance and slowly walked around the clearing in the forest , he was sure he has heard a lighting strike that seemed to have landed close to him.
But there no sign of a lighting strike, I don't have goosebumps and there are no signs of static electricity, plus it still early afternoon, the sun's still out . Lighting only occurs when there's a Storm.
Could this have been some strange phenomenon?
Such an occurance was bizzare in this region of the forest , Zach has lived here most of his life and no strange thing ever occurred although it'd possible fro changes to occur due to environmental disasters and global warming, those situations will appear with some signs or side effects. What was strange here was that there were no damage to the area which lead Zach to the most reasonable theory.
Did I imagine a lighting strike, Zach was still quite puzzled over this. Then he had thought of something
Maybe it was just a sound from one of the
Industries nearby .
After coming up with this explanation did Zach finally calm himself down and stopped pacing. As he bent down to pick up his school bag and strange antique that he always carried around with him .
It was only until when he had walk past some tree trunks did he stop and looked around.
That was when he noticed the silence
The glade, once cheerful and vibrant, had fallen silent. It looked unchanged, yet everything felt... heightened. As if reality had been subtly elevated, as though some unseen veil had been lifted, revealing a realm estranged from his own.
Zack's goal had been simple: to understand the earth. He had heard tales of the seismic sense—how elephants and other creatures could detect the world's vibrations, becoming one with the soil beneath them. That was his aim.
But he had not reached that destination.
Instead, he had crossed into something else. A strange plane filled with unknown wonders and dangers.
As he stepped cautiously along a path both familiar but for some unknown feeling felt foreign, he kept wondering where all the animals had gone .
He was sure he saw a herd of antelope eating the grasses , especially the chirping of birds,
Where did they all suddenly go.
He didn't dwell on this too much caused he he knew only little about animal behavior patterns so he didn't think to much about it as he tried to find his bearings to the road .
As Zach continued on his way he began to noticed difference from the path he normally takes back home , the area appeared less open and more gloomy that bright.
Zach started to feel a sense of loss as he quickly realized he was lost in a place he had walked through since he entered the academy.
Which way was it again.
As he tried to figure out the correct exit to the Forest that he once memorized. He heard some people talking in the distance.
Zach quickly gave up on guessing and followed the direction of the voice hopefully the people he finds will help him out .
As he walked closer towards the voice he finally came to an area where plants, herbs and fruits grew. Looking forward past some of the fruits.
he noticed two figures—children younger than him —kneeling amidst a patch of low-growing herbs. They moved with care and precision, placing each gathered leaf into an embroidered pouch. Their presence was unfamiliar. Zack had never seen them in this region before.
Naturally reserved, he remained still, watching from afar. Yet curiosity stirred within him.
Quietly, cautiously, he began to approach. He wanted to talk to them , he rarely finds kids deep in the forest.
Just as Zach was about to approach the two kids , a strange light shone through his eyes .
He tracked his gaze to the source which he thought was just an abandoned mirror that was reflecting the sun's light in his eyes.
Until it suddenly moved forward.
Then he froze.
Eyes fixed on something just beyond the clearing. An obscure spark of reflected light from a some what strange surface.
As Zach looked more closely he realized something.
There—partially concealed in the foliage—crouched a creature.
It had the sleek shape of a leopard, yet it was huskier, larger. Most unnerving of all, its entire body was wrapped in what appeared to be translucent, plastic-like skin—its surface refracted light in strange, unnatural ways, rendering it almost invisible unless viewed from the right angle. Its eyes—dark red and unblinking—were locked onto the two children.
Zack narrowed his gaze, trying to understand what he was seeing. The creature's form was bizarre, its presence utterly alien to anything he had known. Was it covered in plastic? Or was it made of it?
He had never seen anything like it.
For a moment, he was captivated—drawn in by its alien grace.
Then he snapped out of it.
The way it moved… the intensity of its gaze...
There was no doubt.
It was on the Hunt , it's movements conveyed it.
And its murderous gaze was set on the two unsuspecting children, still gathering herbs—blissfully unaware of the predator looming in silence in the distance.
Suddenly he ran towards the two kids
Get out of there
Zach shouted.
startling the two kids as they turned to the direction of the voice to see Zach running towards them. The kids then saw the creature .
Discovered.
the beast suddenly lunged forward towards the kids .
