c101 – Shock! Zamasu's Immortality
"You… bastard!!"
Trunks charged Zamasu, rage erupting like a supernova! His golden aura flared violently, wrapped in arcs of blue lightning his hybrid Super Saiyan form pushed to its absolute limit.
"You insolent–!" Zamasu growled and threw a punch
SMACK!
But to his shock, Trunks caught it with his bare hand, stopping the immortal Kai's fist cold.
"Impossible!" Zamasu's face twisted in disbelief. "A mere mortal…?!"
CRACK!
Trunks retaliated with a brutal punch to Zamasu's jaw, sending a spray of blood into the air.
"Urgh!"
Zamasu reeled back, his divine ego shaken.
"Da-da-da-da-da-da!!"
Trunks followed up with a blinding flurry of punches, channeling all his grief and fury into each strike. His movements accelerated beyond Zamasu's reaction time, his power breaking its previous limits.
Zamasu tried counterattacking, but Trunks was relentless!
THUD!!
A knee slammed into Zamasu's gut, folding him in half before launching him into the sky!
"Galick Cannon!!" Trunks roared (correct canon name), charging his signature attack and unleashing a violet beam straight at Zamasu mid-air.
BOOOOM!!
The blast engulfed the sky, lighting up the ruins of the future.
Trunks, breathing heavily, lowered his arms. His face was pale but resolute. He turned toward Goku's battle but before he could move, Goku roared to life himself.
"Kaiō-Ken!! HAAAAAH!!!"
A fiery red aura ignited over his Super Saiyan Blue form, multiplying his power as crimson lightning danced around him Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken, the risky technique he first used against Hit.
"AAAAAAHH!!"
Goku exploded forward, slamming Black Goku across the field. The impact sent shockwaves through the sky.
Black Goku caught himself mid-air, eyes narrowed. "Hmph… You're using Kaio-Ken on top of divine power again?"
He studied Goku's aura. "Multiplying your power... but at the cost of your body. Fascinating."
Goku, floating mid-air, panted heavily but smirked. "Yeah… this move's hell on my body… but against someone like you, I gotta give it everything!"
Black Goku sneered. "So you still think you can win, despite your mortal shell?"
"I fight because I have people to protect!" Goku declared, his eyes sharp with resolve.
"People like you should never have received godly power… much less use it against divine will!" Black Goku roared back. "You're an insult to the divine order!"
"Then I guess I'll keep insulting you!" Goku yelled and surged forward fists blazing with godly Ki.
The two clashed in a flurry, Super Saiyan Rosé versus Blue Kaio-Ken space itself trembled around them.

Meanwhile, Trunks bent to pick up his sword, his instincts screaming.
BOOOOM!!
From the rubble, Zamasu re-emerged, robes tattered, body scratched but alive.
"You… FILTHY MORTAL!!" Zamasu shrieked. His divine face contorted with rage. "How dare you?!"
Trunks met his charge head-on, sword gleaming.
CLASH!
Blades of energy collided Zamasu's glowing energy blade versus Trunks' enchanted sword.
Zamasu's form flickered his anger disrupted his rhythm. Trunks exploited every opening.
"You're not worthy of being a god!" Trunks roared and ducked low, thrusting the blade forward
SHUNK!!
Zamasu gasped Trunks' sword stabbed clean through his torso.
The immortal gasped, wide-eyed but his expression was more furious than pained.
Trunks pulled the sword free and leapt back, preparing for another strike.
"I… I did it!" Trunks gasped. "I finally"
"No…" Zamasu spoke calmly.
Trunks' expression fell.
Zamasu's lips curled into a grin as the fatal wound began to close before Trunks' eyes.
"You didn't win anything."
Trunks stumbled back in horror.
"This… can't be…"
"I am a divine immortal, made eternal by the wish of the Super Dragon Balls," Zamasu said coldly. "No blade can end me. No blast can scatter me. I am justice incarnate, and you... are doomed."
Trunks' hands trembled. "Immortal…"
"You were deluded to think you could slay a god. But now… let me show you why hope is futile."
Trunks screamed in defiance and raised his hands.
"Final Flash!!"
KA-CHOOOM!!
A brilliant golden beam surged from his hands, engulfing the field in incandescent light. Dust, wind, and raw energy blew out in every direction.
For a moment silence.
Trunks fell to one knee, panting. "Did… I get him?"
The dust began to clear.
And standing there, untouched, was Zamasu.
Not a scratch. Not even scorched clothing.
"Not even a scratch?" Trunks whispered.
Zamasu's arms opened wide. "This is your punishment for raising your sword against a god."
Trunks' heart sank.
"Immortal…"
Zamasu smiled coldly. "You are beginning to understand… what true despair means."
