c100 – Crisis! Break Out! Trunks' Power
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions ripped through the silence of the ruined future city. Craters replaced buildings. The sky, blanketed in darkness and glowing with flickering pink and golden hues, made it feel like the world teetered on the edge of collapse.
"Move! Move! Hurry!" Below, a group of armed survivors darted through the rubble. Their destination: the center of the chaos.
Leading them was a woman with long, flowing black hair, streaked with dust and grime, but her determined eyes and poise gave her an unmistakable presence Mai.
Yes, Mai had survived Goku Black's early attacks and led a resistance force comprised of ordinary humans and salvaged technology. Their years of hiding, sabotaging, and resisting had made them hardened survivors. Though they had no Ki, their courage never died. Mai had become their symbol of hope and their commander.
"Captain, are you sure we can keep fighting them?" one soldier said, checking the ammo on his arm-mounted blaster. "There's barely any of us left."
Mai's eyes remained focused. "We have no choice. Trunks is our only real hope. If he doesn't make it back in time, this whole world will fall. We must buy him as much time as we can."
They moved forward cautiously, the explosions growing louder.
"Huh? Something's off," one scout whispered, adjusting the lens on his binoculars. "It's not just Black. Someone's fighting them!"
Mai grabbed the device, her eyes scanning and widened instantly. "It's… Trunks!"
"Trunks?! Are you serious?!"
Excited murmurs spread among the survivors. Trunks had saved them countless times. He was the Sword of Hope, the one who fought alone against despair.
Mai, however, quickly regained composure. "He's not alone… but it looks like they're struggling. Get ready to assist from a distance. Support fire only if needed!"
"Yes, ma'am!"

"Da-da-da-da!"
On the battlefield, Trunks clashed fiercely with Zamasu, his energy flaring in bursts of blue and gold. His Super Saiyan 2 state, pushed near its limit by desperation, was nearing the strength of Super Saiyan 3.
But even with this power, Zamasu now immortal due to the wish he made with the Super Dragon Balls proved more than capable. Trunks swung his blade, but Zamasu deflected it easily, then delivered a devastating punch to Trunks' stomach, followed by a heavy roundhouse kick that sent him crashing into a half-destroyed tower.
BOOM!
Trunks burst out from the wreckage, roaring, his blade glowing with Ki. He slashed downward
CLANG!
Zamasu now conjured his own energy blade, reminiscent of the one he used against Goku during their first meeting. He parried Trunks' attack mid-air.
"You stubborn mortal... Just like Son Goku. A bug who defies the will of the gods," Zamasu sneered. "Even in this ruined timeline, you cling to resistance. You're the reason my 'Zero Mortals Plan' hasn't succeeded."
Trunks' eyes flared with fury. "Zamasu… I won't let you destroy humanity. You call yourself a god, but you're nothing but a madman! You'll pay for everything!"
"Fool! I am justice! Your kind was meant to be extinguished!"
Zamasu's smile twisted. "And in case you're hoping for help from the afterlife, don't bother. I erased it before coming here."
Trunks froze, stunned. "What...?"
Taking advantage of his shock, Zamasu disarmed Trunks with a flick of his arm and formed a glowing energy sphere in his other hand.
BOOM!
He blasted Trunks point-blank, reducing several city blocks to ash.
"Trunks!" Goku, knocked down by Goku Black earlier, saw it happen and yelled, trying to stand.
"Looking elsewhere?" Black suddenly warped behind Goku and smashed him into the ground with a sickening thud.
CRASH!
A crater formed around Goku's body.
"Hmph!" Black's aura ignited into Rosé, a divine pink flame. He gathered Ki at his waist the stance unmistakable.
"Kamehameha…" Goku's eyes widened. "He's copying my technique?!"
And not just copying his energy was stronger. Far stronger than Goku's in his current Super Saiyan Blue state.
Goku tried to rise. "If I don't counter this…"
Gritting his teeth, Goku began charging his own blast.
Black grinned. "You should feel honored, Son Goku. This body keeps evolving. But sadly… you'll never see its true peak!"
He released the energy
"Dark Kamehameha!!"
BOOOOM!
Goku threw up his hands, intercepting the blast with his own but the force of Black's attack was overwhelming. Even Super Saiyan Blue couldn't fully hold it back.
"Uaaaaahhh!!" Goku slid backward, feet dragging, his aura cracking under the pressure.
Zamasu watched with amusement. "Hmph. That impudent clone of Goku is reckless but at least he kills efficiently."
Just then
WHOOSH!!
A radiant golden light erupted from the ruins. Lightning danced around the smoke as Trunks emerged, glowing, bloodied but standing.
His Super Saiyan 2 aura now carried a strange intensity. His Ki was unstable, fluctuating with white-hot arcs. His clothes were torn, sword cracked but his spirit roared.
"Tch. Pathetic last stand," Zamasu scoffed.
Trunks glanced at Goku, who struggled against the blast. "Father… Goku… I'm sorry. I brought you into this… and I still couldn't protect our world. Even my father lost…"
The shame and despair clawed at his heart. His hands trembled. But then…
"No! I won't run anymore. I won't hate myself for failing!"
His aura surged. White steam began to rise. Something was building inside him a power drawn not from anger, but from hope, will, and resolve.
"Hmph. Still babbling?" Zamasu fired a small blast to finish him.
But
"Final Flash!!"
Trunks countered with a deafening roar.
KRA-KA-BOOOM!!
The sky was torn apart as the beams clashed. Trunks pushed forward through the light, his body flickering with unstable divine energy.
"RAAAAHHH!!"
He emerged from the smoke like a bullet, slamming his cracked sword into Zamasu's defense.
Zamasu's face twisted in shock. "You…?!"
