We landed on Aebirosu planet.
'Welcome to Anarica.' Someone said. Two people who look our age stood there, welcoming the spaceship.
The spaceship opened like a flower and we came out. Some nurses came with a wheel chair and they took us to a hospital. They gave anesthesia and I don't remember anything. When I opened my eyes, I was on bed, my leg was tied with sterilized cloth and there was a table beside me. On the table, there was a tray that has the 3D bullet on it. Beside me, there was Sravanti too, unconscious.
Should I get up or not? There's even a stick leaning on the wall. I took the stick and started hopping. There, Vishal was talking to two other people. He made friends already? I went there. Those two greeted me.
'Hi Bindu! Nice to meet you!'
'No, I think she's Chandu.' Vishal said. I slapped my forehead.
'I am Bindu. Nice to meet you two.' I said and smiled.
'I am Kinari,' the girl said and 'I am Killich.' The boy said. 'We both are here to guide earthlings.' Both said together.
'Tonight, we have a fresher's party! Before it starts, we want to introduce a bit of this world to you guys.' Kinari said, smile generously. Killich grinned. Kinari threw her hands in air and started moving them in ways that don't make any sense.
'Let me help,' Killich joined in that action. We don't know what kind of magic they're doing but three books fell on Kinari's hands out of thin air. I didn't know that we can summon things with scars too!
'How did you do that with your scar?' Vishal asked them.
'This is not magic. Just like how gravity isn't magic.' Killich said. Kinari nodded. 'See, throwing a ball and displacing it physically makes sense just like this. This isn't magic. It feels like magic, but we will explain.' Killich said.
'I wanna take the help of that girl, Chandu who loves physics. Maybe she can explain them.' Kinari said. Killich nodded. 'Meanwhile, let's talk about something else.' She gave two of those books to me and Vishal. 'These are the guides we created for you guys to navigate easier.'
Sravanti woke up and she's looking around.
'Go to the third page and you'll find everything about clothes here,' Kinari guided us. Vishal noticed Sravanti searching for us. He walked towards her leaving this conversation.
'Um, Vishal?' Kinari doubted.
'He just maybe wants to tell Chandu that we are here.' I said. He came back followed by Sravanti.
'Okay, so you're the girl who loves physics. Do you know what space-time is and how masses curve the space-time?' Killich asked her. Sravanti blinked and shook her head.
'Excuse me, can you repeat?' She said, rubbing her eyes.
'Do you know that massive objects curve space-time and that's called gravity?' Killich repeated. I swear I understood none of what he said.
'Um, that's a theory of gravity.' Sravanti said.
'Well, turns out, it was true. Here we have 5D hyper space-time.' Kinari said. Sravanti blinked, trying to process that for a second. 'Since curvature of space-time exists due to masses, masses can be created when we produce curvature in space-time. We have the ability to curve it however we want, physically.'
Sravanti dropped her jaw, and blinked vigorously. I understood nothing. What did she understand???
'And that means, we can' Kinari turned to Killich. He made the third book disappear. 'We can manipulate matter like this,' Kinari said while appearing the book. Sravanti froze. 'Now explain this to them.' Kinari said while giving that book to Sravanti and pointed to us. I and Vishal have literally no idea of what Kinari is yapping about.
Sravanti looked at us. We blinked. She blinked. 'Explain,' Killich said.
Sravanti smiled awkwardly and asked us, 'Do you know Einstein?'
'The guy who said that mass is frozen energy!' Vishal said with excitement. Sravanti slapped her forehead while Kinari and Killich raised their brows. 'No?' Vishal asked.
'I didn't know earthlings were this stupid.' Killich said.
'I mean, he was just misinformed.' Sravanti covered up awkwardly and took Vishal's hand and pulled him to a side to whisper to him.
'Wanna listen to what they're talking.' Kinari said. Killich nodded.
'She is probably explaining him clearly.' I said. They both sat on a bed and started talking. They got into an intense convo after breaking this one? Look at their priorities!
'Feels like they like each other…' Killich said. Kinari nodded. 'They look cool together.'
'Bindu, you don't know but Vishal has been very much appreciating Chandu before you didn't come yet!' Kinari said.
'Yeah, I wonder if they actually know they like each other or not.' Killich said.
Sravanti stood up and started scolding Vishal. Vishal also stood up and started talking back. That looks like a fight, not a lovely talk… Sravanti and Vishal came and both looked awkward with each other.
'Are you two okay?' Kinari asked them.
'Just- nothing. There's nothing… You are saying something, aren't you?' Vishal said.
'I don't have the energy to explain everything right now. Just remember that we can curve the space in a way that creates and destroys masses.' Sravanti said, folding her hands.
'What do we do now?' Vishal asked them.
'Let's talk about food?' Kinari asked us. 'Here the food is probably different. How do you guys prepare food on earth?' She asked us.
'We eat plants or other animals as food. We cook them and eat them.' Sravanti said simply. I nodded.
Kinari looked at Killich. Killich shrugged. She turned to us. 'But we humans here are actually autotrophs, right? We make our own food.' Kinari said and looked at Killich. He nodded, smiling.
'What do you mean? We'll do photosynthesis or what?' I asked them.
'Yeah. In the absence of light, we can also do chemosynthesis. It means that we make food using chemical energy.' Killich said. Kinari nodded. 'I am shocked that still haven't yet tried to do photosynthesis!' He said and chuckled.
'Nah, we shouldn't do photosynthesis until we're adults even if we could. It's better that they haven't explored their own bodies to find light collecting organs!' Kinari said. Sravanti looked as if she smelled a rotten egg. Vishal's face looked like a crumbled piece of paper.
'We don't have chlorophyll right?' Vishal asked then.
'Blah, chlorophyll is for plants. We have melanin.' Killich said. I looked at Sravanti and Vishal. They looked at me with same amount of confusion and disgust. Melanin is our skin pigment.
'People with Eumelanin honestly struggle because they can't do photosynthesis easily.' Kinari said. 'So they depend on people who have more Pheomelanin. That creates a lot of differences, you know!' Kinari said.
'Isn't that straight up racist? I don't believe in what you say.' Sravanti said. How is that racism? 'All people should have been the result of survival of the fittest. If what you said was true, people with Eumelanin might've been extinct way before if the photosynthesis is that old. But contradicting to what you said, people with Eumelanin can just do chemosynthesis if it can't absorb much energy, right?' Sravanti explained.
Again, I and Vishal have no freaking idea of what Sravanti is talking about.
'See, she's so smart!' Vishal whispered to me.
'Oh, so you understood what she said in order to say that she was smart, right? Explain to me what she just said.' I said. Vishal stopped talking.
'Hey, Kinari, what are doing here?' Someone taller than Kinari came towards her. Killich started shivering nervously. Kinari started stuttering.
'Guys, t- this is m- my sister, Kla. Kla, they were our friends.' Kinari said.
'They both are actually teaching us everything about Aebirosu because we came from earth.' I said. Kla nodded.
'What were you talking about?' She asked us.
'Do people who are darker, depend on lighter skin people?' Sravanti asked Kla.
'Kla, we have to,' Kinari was speaking, but Kla stopped her.
'What are you saying? There's nothing like that socially, economically and politically.' Kla said.
'Then biologically?' Sravanti asked her. Kla raised her eyebrows and blinked.
'No way. Whoever said that is simply being racist.' Kla said. 'Who said that?'
'Um, actually,' Killich was saying something and Kla interrupted him.
'Thinking that difference in pigment of skin makes you higher or lower is wrong!' Kla said.
Sravanti shot a glare to Kinari. Kinari slapped her forehead.
'Then darker people make food with chemosynthesis right?' Sravanti said.
'What in the Aebirosu are you saying? We are heterotrophs! Autotrophs make their own food! Are you talking about fungi or what?' Kla looked confused.
'But they said that's how we make food, through photosynthesis.' Sravanti said. Kla looked at Kinari and Killich. And slapped her forehead.
'Come up with a good prank next time. A harmless prank that doesn't confuse earthlings. I will tell dad that you're misusing your prank credits.' Kla said.
'Uh- um, sorry. I actually didn't mean to confuse them. It just naturally came along. Now I have too many prank credits. What to do?' Kinari asked Kla. 'Sev would kill me if I don't use them. Or someone prank me!' Kinari said.
'Sev will come after three years. Why are you worried right now? By the way, you're all prank credits will be completed today. Don't ask me why. I just know that. Bye!' Kla said and left.
'What are these prank credits?' I asked them.
Kinari looked down, sad and hopeless. 'Here, it is our Anarica's tradition to prank everyone. Everyone has prank credits which will be completed if prank someone or get pranked. Prank credits allowed people to enjoy the tradition and also separate reality from it. But Sev came and ruined everything. She killed anyone who follows Anarica's culture or tradition and she killed whoever has prank credits left. So, she was afraid that Kuchimni Sev might give us a surprise visit unexpectedly and kill her.' Killich explained.
'I am sorry guys, I didn't mean to confuse you. I was just afraid that I might die.' Kinari cried.
'Sev would come after 3 years right? Why are you too cautious?' Killich asked her.
'Kuchimni Sev has always been unpredictable. I fear her a lot because I saw how she treats my dad like a slave.' Kinari cried. She turned to us. 'It's not as easy and beautiful as you think living here is. People do a lot of pranks here, you should be careful.' Kinari told us.
After some introduction, Sravanti and Vishal were discussing together about the book Kinari gave and Kinari and Killich were talking about which dress they have to wear for the fresher's party. I am here alone, walking here and there.
There were a lot of people walking at that place, let me see it. Maybe I can make some new friends? What if they prank me again? Nope, talking to no one is better… I don't even want to trust anyone other than Vishal and Sravanti.
As I walked around, I saw a huge Avocado sitting on a bench. It looks just like the Avocado plushie Bindu gave me. It looked like a statue- straight and steady. I came near to that Avocado statue and examined it. It looks like a giant soft toy honestly. I sat beside it. It has been long time since I've talked to my avocado plushie.
'Hey,' I said. It didn't move, obviously. 'I honestly feel lonely right now and want someone to talk to.' It felt odd, seeing something that doesn't react to your words just like that avocado plushie. And that's why you can talk to it however you want.
'My bestie gave me this Avocado plushie which was gone and she treated like I am inferior to her. She was the only friend I thought gave my life some purpose. And now she's gone. I am in this new planet in which I don't know where to go at all. Even if I didn't have my bestie, I had the Avocado plushie she gave to me. And now, it was gone too. The other two friends I have are making me the third wheel. The other two were pranking us.' I said, and wiped my tears.
No one is seeing, right? I moved closer to that statue. I leaned on it and hugged it. It doesn't feel like a solid statue though. Is it really a big soft toy? The Avocado started moving. Is someone else pranking me now? I left it immediately and stood up.
It had a zip which was being opened. A boy came out of that Avocado outfit and stood up, he looked at me. He blinked, I blinked. This is the moment I knew, I effed up.
'I actually, thought of going out on a date with the girl who falls for my prank tonight. What's your name?' He asked me. I turned around and ran away as fast as I could away from him. That was second-hand embarrassing honestly. Why the heck did I even hug a stranger!? I don't have a brain at all.
I reached something like a café after running away from him. My hands reached for my mobile in my pocket. Zelkor gave three of us a 4D mobile. Now, I gotta hide my face and watch my mobile secretly. I scrolled through the social media platforms available on Aebirosu. They're not that different from earth ones. I went to my gallery. My hands and legs are still shaking from what happened before. There were some random photos taken of me that look horrible. In one of them, I look like an absolute beggar and a zombie.
As I scrolled through my ugly photos, yeah I am extremely non-photogenic, the way my big nose looked made me more insecure. Why do I have such a disproportionate nose? This nose is bigger than my hands. Even after makeup, it looks ugly-
Something hit my head so hard and my phone flew away from my hands as I was falling down.
'Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,' this song was coming from someone's phone. A guy actually hit me and as he fell down, 'Humpty dumpty had a great fall' his phone rang and feel down...
Everyone around us were stopping by, and looking at us. My head was paining- who the hell hit me!?
'All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put humpty together again.' The guy who fell in front of me took a phone that fell near him and started running away. He tried to hide his face, but I saw him. He looks like donkey.
After he ran away, I took the phone that fell beside me. Wait, this is not my mobile! It is playing humpty dumpty rhyme. I looked around. So he took away my phone? It has my ugliest picture taken where I look like a cow eating grass-
I don't know how I remember the way I came here, I came back. Of course I hid my face from that avocado guy on the way.
'Where were you A- Bindu?' Sravanti asked me, looking concerned. 'We were searching for you.'
'Nothing, I just went to a café and lost my mobile. I guess this is also a prank!' I cried.
