1 Piece AU Luffy Charlotte

"You've improved." Mihawk said as the two stood face to face, blade crossed with blade, and neither of them giving an inch. The ship they had been fighting on was completely torn to pieces now from the two sword fighting maniacs.
"Thanks! Mama Ama and Mama Smoothie taught me a couple of tricks and made sure that I didn't slack off! Just cause I like fighting with my fists doesn't mean I can't learn some tricks with a sword." Luffy said with a grin towards his uncle who smirked back at him.
"My offer to train you into being a sword master is still open." Mihawk said idly and Luffy laughed a bit. The two of them had several minor scratches and cuts on their bodies. Minor for them at least which meant nothing life threatening and no body parts missing or organs falling out.
More than a few people, including Zoro, were gaping at how fast the two had moved and that Mihawk apparently offered to train Luffy.
"Thanks but nah! I'm a fist fighter at heart not a sword fighter. I just know a few tricks." Luffy said shaking his head and more than a few jaws dropped open at him rejecting the offer. Seriously the best Swordsman in the world was offering to teach him and he refused?!
"I understand. My offer shall always be open however if you change your mind." Mihawk said and the two jumped back before they vanished from sight again and the only signs of where they clashed were the waves and boards being cut up along with the occasional poor sap that was caught in the crossfires.
"Even the sky and waves are being sliced apart." Robin noted wide eyed as she stared at the clouds above that seemed to be torn in two by the slashes of the two fighters blades.
"This is a true fight between swordsmen. A once in a lifetime sight." Zeff said while a few of the other chefs were blown back just by the wind pressure of the twos fight.
"So this is the level I need to reach. A level where my blades can pierce the heavens themselves." Zoro said staring narrow eyed at the two fighters and he sucked his teeth. They were going too fast for him to keep up with, he only caught the occasional flash and saw where their blades crossed sometimes. He knew he was a damn good swordsman, the best in the East Blue, but he wasn't at that level. He thought he had understood the kind of level he had needed to reach when he had that sword spar with his captain back on Syrup Island.
But this? This was on a whole other level, the speed, precision, strength behind each blow. The way the two knew exactly where and how hard to swing their blades, the way they were able to seemingly predict each move the other made before it was made.
Zoro was a damn good swordsman and he was a proud one…but even his pride knew that he couldn't win against Mihawk at his current level. He had to get stronger and faster and better.
He was going to have to do a lot better and get a lot stronger before he was ready to face Mihawk and now seeing the mans power for himself against Luffy, Zoro's captain who wasn't even a serious swordsman?
Zoro knew he picked the right captain to follow in order to achieve his dream. With his captains help he was sure to get so much stronger so much quicker.
Robin was staring stunned at the fight just like everyone else but hers was for a different reason. She's been in the Grand Line. She worked for Crocodile for the last few years. She's seen some fast and strong fights between people. She's been chased by Bounty Hunters and Marines for twenty years and had a Marine Admiral chasing her as well for just as long. She's been in some close and dangerous fights in her life, many more than most people.
She's seen Crocodile use his Devil Fruit to reform parts of the desert where he was nearly unstoppable. But she's never seen two people fight who were this powerful. Her eyes were able to keep up with the two but only barely. That was still better than most of the onlookers however.
And something else she noticed during the fight made her blood freeze in her veins. Neither of them were using Devil Fruits. Crocodile could reshape an island with his devil fruit.
But these two…they were ripping apart the sky and seas and not using any devil fruit at all.
"They…They're holding back." Robin softly said in disbelief as she stared at the fight.
"What?!" Nami's head whipped around to stare at the older woman who was apparently a pirate as well.
"They…They aren't using a Devil Fruit or anything. I'm not sure if Mihawk has one but he's also not using any flying slashes or anything…they're holding back. They're not even fighting each other seriously." Robin said her observations aloud and everyone's eyes widened at this.
"Luffy has a Devil Fruit but he can only stretch like rubber. Are you saying he's not even using it?" Usopp demanded staring at Robin horrified and making the older woman nod her head softly.
"I can keep up with their movements even if barely…he's…he's not stretching or anything. They aren't even going all out and they're tearing apart the sea and sky." Robin said softly as she stared at the two fighters still, having never looked away from them.
"Holy shit." Those two words from Zoro seemed to get everyone's feelings across quite clear while Sanji's cigarette fell from his mouth in disbelief and shock.
"That was a wonderful exercise. Thank you for killing my boredom for a little while Luffy." Mihawk said as the two of them stopped with their blades crossed again, both of them having more cuts and scratches on their bodies with Luffy definitely having more.
"Shi shi shi! Anytime Uncle Hawky!" Luffy said grinning and laughing and at some unheard signal to the onlookers, the two pulled their swords back and sheathed them with smiles on their faces.
"I believe I can speak for both of us when I say that the brief spar has made us rather hungry." Mihawk said as he sheathed his sword and then ruffled Luffy's hair fondly.
"Food!" Luffy yelled happily and Mihawk snorted.
"You are definitely a Charlotte." Mihawk said and Zeff raised an eyebrow as the two made their way towards the floating restaurant.
"Charlotte? As in Charlotte Katakuri or Charlotte Linlin aka Big Mom?" Zeff asked staring at Luffy who smiled brightly at him.
"You know Papa Kata and baa-chan old man?" Luffy asked and Zeff snorted.
"Kid you call the Pirate Emperor, the Yonko, Big Mom baa-chan and get away with it?" Zeff asked and anyone who knew what a Yonko was either went ten shades paler or fainted at Luffy's next words.
Fullbody raced for his marine issued snail to call in the news and have a bounty put on Straw Hat immediately.
"What else would I call her? She's Papa Peros, Papa Kata's, Mama Ama's, Mama Smoothie's and Mama Branch's mom so that makes her my grandma!"
