Chapter 36 - You’re Not Supposed to Be Here

1. Fallin' with Style

Park Yul fell from the sky like an icicle from the throat of heaven.

He wasn't screaming.

He was sipping peach wine out of a frozen gourd, watching the world flip around him.

When he crashed into a lake of divine water, it instantly froze over. The entire region dropped ten degrees.

"Still got it," he muttered, walking across the surface as if time obeyed him.

Not far away, Kang In-Woo punched a hole through gravity mid-air, landed inside a floating stone, and just stood there.

"I give your landing a seven."

"You always say that."

"I'll say eight when someone actually impresses me."

2. When Rank #2 Shows Up

In the center of the Realm of Life, Lee Haneul and Lee Haeun were catching their breath. The pressure of the Proxy's final assault had cracked their cores, but not their resolve.

Then reality folded.

A breeze passed that didn't touch the trees.

And Baek Dohyun—Ranked #2—appeared.

White robes. Silver sword. Eyes like frozen time.

He didn't speak for a long time.

Then:

"If either of you speaks the Eidolon Protocol..."

He drew his blade one inch.

"I will erase your bloodline from the script of existence."

Silence.

Haeun blinked. "...Well, damn."

"Noted," Haneul said calmly.

"Are you here to fight?"

"I'm here to watch. And if I must… prevent."

Then he vanished into the air again.

Just like that.

3. The Cult Panics

Back in the Shadow Spire, alarms were going off. Cracks split the pillars. The sky-view mirror shattered itself trying to look inside the Realm.

"They sent Baek Dohyun?!"

"And Park Yul just iced half the eastern flow!"

"We're losing grip—we need to activate containment."

The tattooed man's fingers trembled.

"Fine."

"Break the seal."

They gathered around a chained coffin of voidstone, sealed with seven layers of forbidden Qi.

It opened with a sound like a scream cut in half.

Inside, something smiled without a face.

"You sure about this?" it whispered."You call me every few centuries and it never ends well."

"They've touched the Protocol," the high priestess said."We need something that remembers the Nameless One's original form."

"You mean something that remembers what he lost?"

It stood.

No eyes. No shape. Just presence.

"Then let me meet the twins."

4. Gathering of the Seven

All seven of the Murim's Top 20 were now inside the Realm—each dropped in different regions, guided by fate and pulled toward the epicenter.

Eun Seo-Ra stood silently beside a garden of blooming soul-lilies. Her coffin vibrated like a heartbeat.

Jin Haru hovered inches above a forgotten shrine, surrounded by whispers that turned to light when they touched his robes.

Yoo A-Reum kicked her boots off and let corrupted Qi wrap around her toes. "Free foot detox," she smiled.

Shi Min-Jae? He just laughed and said, "This place is gonna fall apart in ten minutes. I love it here."

The Realm pulled all seven toward one point.

Convergence.

5. The Realm Reacts

A bell rang. Low and long. Not made of sound—made of truth.

Above them, the golden Eye opened wider.

And beside it, a second Eye—smaller, darker—split through the clouds and opened as well.

And it laughed.

Not joyfully.

Not cruelly.

Just like it had seen this before.

"Two pieces...A forgotten script...A realm trembling to remember..."

"Speak it, and you'll die."

"Hold it in, and the world dies anyway."

And all seven cultivators felt something scratch at the walls of their minds.

A name not meant to be known.A shape of power long denied.
