To be honest, it was really very hard to see this chubby guy with six tentacles as a dragon.
After all, compared to normal dragons, this thing was far too heavy on the Cthulhu-style elements: a massive body, wind and thunder and dark clouds accompanying it when it moved, swaying tentacles, indescribable whispers (the sound of the wind), a pair of orange eyes like lanterns, and when it opened its mouth, there were not beast-like fangs, but a row of flat, human-like molars.
Even without any wings it could float in the sky; compared to a living creature, it was more like an octopus drifting aimlessly high in the air with nothing to rely on.
Therefore, no matter how one looked at it, it seemed more like an evil god out of the Cthulhu Mythos, right?
The body of Yama Tsukami was spherical; from the perspective of the hunters below who were nervously swallowing, they could only see its extremely elastic white belly and those tentacles wrapped in vines and moss.
But from the perspective of Logan and the others, they could see the dense, green plants on Yama Tsukami's back that were crooked and oddly shaped, most of them plants called "Dragon Moss" and "Dragon Wood."
This type of plant possessed toughness not inferior to steel and was excellent material for forging equipment; besides those, there were some rare shrubs that only grew in remote regions, which Logan had never seen before.
If the other party were willing to lie quietly in one place, just looking at this section of its back, it really would look like a small mountain.
In terms of length alone, Yama Tsukami was only 41 m long; among super-giant Elder Dragons, this length counted as relatively small. Even Kulve Taroth was four or five meters longer than it in terms of length.
But there was no getting around the fact that this guy was spherical; this made Logan, who likewise had a body length of more than 30 m, seem incomparably small in front of it.
It was just like in his previous life when a 1.5 m shorty ran into a 2.3 m big lump of meat; the sheer difference in size alone created an extremely strong sense of pressure.
"Aoo~~"
Yama Tsukami's voice was long and hollow, and overall one could not hear any excess emotion in it. The way it looked at Logan and the Flame Dragon couple was like an elder looking at the children of some relative blocking the road to ask for a red envelope: it looked down on them, but still politely asked them to step aside.
This was very normal; Elder Dragons also had differences in ecological niches between them.
Moreover, judging from this Yama Tsukami's appearance, although it was not yet to the point of being old, it was likely also an existence that had lived for over a thousand years, and in front of it, Logan and the Flame Dragon couple really were just children.
"Roar!!"
What responded to Yama Tsukami was an angry roar from Lunastra.
Although they had not seen each other for several years, this hot-tempered mom still seemed just as irritable, blatantly letting out a roar to drive it away.
Only, hampered by the difference in strength, she therefore did not choose to take the initiative to attack; if it had been some other ordinary Elder Dragon, Lunastra would probably already have rushed up to brawl with it by now, which showed that compared to her irritable temper, Lunastra, who had already given birth to a child, was indeed better able to keep her composure than before.
But!
Lunastra could hold herself back, but that did not mean there was no one thick-skulled.
A black gust suddenly rushed past above Logan's head; amid a roar that was extremely excited and high, black spikes bristled up and smashed heavily onto Yama Tsukami's back.
In that instant, Logan's eyes went wide.
"Wait, when did this guy get here?"
"Oh, oh, oh! It's Nergigante! It actually came too!" The fully armed hunters below cried out in surprise, and then there was endless excitement.
Five Elder Dragons, a full five Elder Dragons were besieging Yama Tsukami!
They had once only heard, in the legends the Admiral had brought back, of group battles between Elder Dragons; they had never thought that in this life they would actually have the good fortune to witness such a scene with their own eyes. Even if they were to die in this battle, it would be worth it!
Logan watched as it smashed Yama Tsukami so that in the sky it was wobbling crookedly, seemingly about to be unable to keep its balance; its pair of strong and powerful forelimbs, bearing white spikes that regrew after shattering, were, like dismantling a house, constantly tearing down the Dragon Wood growing on Yama Tsukami's body, its tail like a spiked club and the ferocious giant horn on its head frenziedly attacking Yama Tsukami.
This made Yama Tsukami roar as it shook its body, wanting to shake off this guy hanging on its body.
The opportunity could not be missed; the time would not come again.
Since there was already a thick-skulled guy who had charged up to take Yama Tsukami's first wave of attacks, Logan and the Flame Dragon couple, who had been watching and had planned to wait for the other side to charge up first, no longer continued to stand there dumbly, flames ignited on each of their bodies, and they beat their wings to start closing the distance.
While flying, a trace of peculiarity flashed in Logan's eyes. If at this time they added Kirin, Namielle, and that shut-in dragon from the Rotten Vale, would that not be the lineup from back when they resolved Shagaru Magala?
Only, what was even faster than Logan and the others flying was the figure of Nergigante being blasted backward.
With a bang, the black figure was struck by a tentacle that lashed like a long whip; the spikes on Nergigante's body, used for protection, met the even harder Dragon Wood and Dragon Moss and snapped directly, not even providing any cushioning effect. It was as if it had not even let out a wail before being forcibly whipped down from the sky.
Like a fired shell, it crashed straight into Astera; its massive body directly smashed apart the weapons workshop whose fires had long since gone out, and amid flying planks, the entire dragon became embedded into the ground.
This was the power of a super-giant Elder Dragon.
Yama Tsukami displayed agility completely inconsistent with its body shape; as its six tentacles flipped up and down, they brought up bursts of violent wind, and in the sound of tearing air, they even produced afterimages as they swayed.
The two tentacles at its mouth were sharp at the tips like spear points, and they flexibly stabbed toward the approaching Flame Dragon couple. Its sack-like big mouth opened wide, and the gale blown from it stirred chaotic air currents and directly formed a massive storm, obstructing Logan's flight and forcing Logan to stop and beat his wings to calm the violent wind.
However, in the next second, using the recoil provided by its own blowing, Yama Tsukami spun its entire body like a whirling top, frenziedly rotating. Driven by the rotation, its six tentacles pulled out streaks of green lines, and its entire dragon body aggressively charged toward Logan and the others.
The high-speed rotation brought up a raging tornado, and from beginning to end, Logan did not sense any trace of energy. This was entirely a catastrophic phenomenon created purely through its own physical strength.
"You like spinning, huh? Then I'll let you spin to your heart's content!"
Completely unaffected by the storm and instead using the air currents to speed himself up, Logan rushed straight ahead, circling Yama Tsukami at high speed. While controlling the distance, above the tornado raised by Yama Tsukami, he once again stirred up a black gale.
A large amount of seawater was drawn into it, but immediately afterward, blue-violet Calamity Flame appeared. While it evaporated large amounts of seawater, it dyed the tornado.
Having escaped the storm area, the Flame Dragon couple instantly understood Logan's intent. Amid two roars, blue and orange flame breaths spewed out, dyeing this fire tornado into three different colors.
