Diana approached him and whispered softly,
-"Hey."
Jacob glanced at her outfit, noticing the mix of surprise and suppressed laughter on everyone's faces.
He gave a brief nod as a greeting and returned to his call.
He could sense Diana's restlessness, as if she still feared him, though he couldn't figure out why.
He'd tried to ease the pressure with his words and actions, avoiding making her uncomfortable,
but it seemed to have little effect.
Finally, his call ended.
_"Ready? Shall we go?"
-"Yeah… yes, I'm completely ready."
-"Nice clothes? Are they belongs to matthew?"
-"Uh… yeah.
I mean, I don't know—one of the servants gave it to me to wear."
Jacob tilted his head suspiciously and gestured toward the stairs in the corner of the hall.
