Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: A Mouth Harder Than Bullets

As soon as Li Tian'er shouted, the four young guys behind Qin Feng immediately grabbed chairs and swung them at him.

Having seen how badass Qin Feng was, none of them dared to act tough with their bare hands.

Startled, Lin Xia wrapped her arms around Qin Feng and shouted sweetly, "Stop fighting! My sister is a cop—watch out or she'll arrest all of you!"

Her cry had just sounded, but the chairs hadn't come down yet.

Qin Feng patted her head and smiled, "Don't be scared, get up!"

Lin Xia cautiously opened one eye, only to see Li Tian'er and the four young men frozen mid-air, chairs held aloft.

They were giving it their all, but no matter how hard they tried, they simply couldn't move a muscle.

Lin Xia finally realized she'd lost her composure, hurriedly let go of Qin Feng, her little face blushing bright red with embarrassment.

Qin Feng grinned, stepped forward, and stared coldly at Li Tian'er. Suddenly, he slapped him straight across the face.

"Smack!"

The sound of the slap echoed through the entire restaurant, finally drawing the attention of the other diners.

Blood immediately trickled from the corner of Li Tian'er's mouth. He stared wide-eyed but couldn't utter a word, his tears spilling from the corners of his eyes.

Qin Feng wiped his hand with a napkin, then tossed it on Li Tian'er's face, saying, "This slap is on behalf of Miss Lin. A true man never hits or yells at women—ever! My name is Qin Feng, and if you're not convinced, come find me anytime!"

Lin Xia looked at Qin Feng dreamily from the side. She'd seen guys fight before, but none of them even came close to Qin Feng's style.

The waiter soon came up with the manager. Seeing Li Tian'er and the others standing around with chairs in the air, they thought they'd run into a bunch of crazies. They apologized profusely to Qin Feng and Lin Xia, then told the security guards to carry the others out.

To top it off, the manager even comped their meal.

Lin Xia grinned from ear to ear, dragging Qin Feng out the door. Across the street, she found a hair salon and got him a new hairstyle.

She wouldn't dare slack off on what Lin Nan had put her in charge of. After all, right now her sister was her wallet.

"Brother Qin, what did you do to Li Tian'er and those guys just now? Why couldn't they move an inch?"

Lin Xia took the chance to get her own hair done too. Her ponytail used to be cute and neat, but now she'd permed it into big, bouncy curls.

Supposedly, guys like these kinds of wavy curls—it's got a bit of a sassy, wild vibe.

Qin Feng looked at himself in the mirror, calmly saying, "Not much. I just used a little Spiritual Power to control their bodies."

Lin Xia gazed at him in awe, her eyes sparkling as she suggested, "Brother Qin, aren't you here to experience city life? Why don't you attend school with me? You can learn new things AND meet some fun friends!"

"Go to school?"

Qin Feng thought for a moment and chuckled. "Better listen to your sister. I'll do whatever she tells me to!"

"Whipped husband!"

Lin Xia mumbled under her breath. Once their hair was done, she brought Qin Feng home.

She'd permed her hair into big, wavy curls.

Qin Feng had his sides shaved down and the top tied into a bun. He didn't look like a Daoist—more like an artist.

After they got home, Lin Xia snuggled up on the sofa with her laptop and hopped onto Taobao to pick out a Daoist Robe for Qin Feng.

They'd wandered around half the city earlier but didn't see a single store selling Daoist Robes.

Lin Nan's instructions were not to be taken lightly.

Qin Feng stood in the living room in deep thought for a while, then suddenly asked, "Miss Lin, does anyone else live here?"

Lin Xia shook her head with curiosity. "Nope, just me and my sister. Why?"

Qin Feng frowned. "That's bad, then. There's someone hiding upstairs!"

"What?!"

Lin Xia was so scared she jumped off the sofa, hugging Qin Feng's arm. "Where? Should we call the police?"

Qin Feng smiled, patted her shoulder, and shouted up the stairs, "Hey, buddy! No need to hide, come on out!"

Right after he shouted, a door slammed open upstairs.

A burly man in a mechanic's uniform barged out, pistol in hand, aiming it coldly at Qin Feng, and sneered, "Family of a cop really is different—not so easy to fool you guys!"

Lin Xia's face turned deathly pale, her legs so weak she could barely stand. "Don't you dare do anything! My sister's a police officer—she'll arrest you!"

The thug roared with laughter, "Little girl, your sister's already gone to the Underworld! I didn't plan on killing anyone, but since you found me, I'll just send you two to meet King Yama!"

Qin Feng stared at him and smiled lightly, "Bro, you really think you can kill us so easily?"

The thug frowned and sneered, "Oh, tough guy, huh? You think your mouth is tougher than what I'm holding here?"

Qin Feng replied with a grin, "Why don't we find out?"

The thug's face twisted in frustration, and he snapped, "Damn it, you wanna die? I'll make it happen!"

As he spoke, he pulled the trigger.

"Bang"

The shot rang out so loud, even the crystal chandelier rattled above them.

Lin Xia shrieked, "Mommy!" instinctively ducking to the floor with her hands over her head.

When the smoke cleared, Qin Feng was still standing there grinning, and now, something gold and round was clenched between his teeth—a bullet.

He spat it out. The bullet landed on the floor with a ding.

The thug's hands began to shake as he cried out in shock, "How the hell is that possible?!"

"Bang, bang, bang!"

Three more deafening shots rang through the room—the thug emptied his clip at Qin Feng.

When the shots stopped, Qin Feng was still standing there, smiling as always.

It was as if the bullets had hit an invisible wall, bouncing off a centimeter in front of Qin Feng and tinkling down to the floor.

"There's a ghost here!"

The thug blanched, threw his gun aside, and tried to dash back into the bedroom.

He'd barely reached the door when his head slammed right into someone's chest.

It was Qin Feng, staring down at him with a smirk. "Bro, where you rushing off to?"

"Screw you!"

The thug screamed like he'd seen a ghost, pulled out a knife and lunged at Qin Feng.

But his arm froze midair—no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't move. His whole body felt like it no longer belonged to him.

Qin Feng sneered and said, "You must be that infamous bad guy everyone talks about. Looks like you really live up to your reputation—ruthless, and not the slightest ounce of humanity. You're certainly bad enough!"

The thug glared at him, face turning as red as a monkey's butt. He wanted to curse, but couldn't get the words out. His squinty eyes were full of killing intent, but also a hefty dose of panic.

At that moment, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Shivering, Lin Xia didn't dare answer it. Soon, the doorknob clicked and Lin Nan's annoyed voice was heard from outside, "Lin Xia, Qin Feng, what are you two even doing in there? Why aren't you opening the door?"

As soon as she walked in, Lin Nan froze at the scene.

Lin Xia ran to her, wailing and hugging her tightly, still in shock, "Sis, thank goodness you're back! That bad guy was about to kill us—he even had a gun!"

Qin Feng, looking completely unfazed, laughed as he walked downstairs and shrugged, "The bad guy's all yours now—do whatever you want with him!"

Seeing the pistol on the floor and the thug upstairs, Lin Nan quickly realized what was going on. Without missing a beat, she pulled out her phone, "Hello, Captain? I have evidence—I've got the proof of Shi Yong's crime!"
