Chapter 30 - CHAPTER-30

"But what?"Chen Fan asked calmly, showing no signs of rushing into agreement.

If it was true that this Feng Yanli wanted to oust him from the company, then Chen Fan certainly wouldn't let that slide. He wasn't someone to be bullied without retaliation.

But for now, it was only Jiang Hao's word—Chen Fan didn't yet understand what Jiang Hao really wanted.

Just then, the system's voice sounded in his mind:

[Ding!][Temporary Mission Issued: Strike Back at Feng Yanli! Use his own tactics against him and kick him out of Tengfei Group's decision-making circle. Let him taste his own medicine!][Mission Reward: Top-tier Financial Management Ability][Bonus: 53 Experience Points]

"Oh?!"

Seeing the system's reward, Chen Fan's eyes lit up with delight.

Damn—the system was too considerate!

He had previously been a little regretful over the "Skill Selection Card", which limited him to choosing only one ability, leaving out the top-tier financial management skill.

He had only been hoping the system might grant it later. And now—his wish had come true.

Chen Fan was thrilled.

With this on the table, he was even more determined—Feng Yanli had to go.

"But I'm still unsure of your capabilities and stance, Mr. Chen..."

Jiang Hao said cautiously.

"To be transparent, I currently hold 22.5% of Tengfei Group's shares. Feng Yanli owns 20.3%, so he's not far behind me."

"I've also received word that he's actively trying to buy up shares from small shareholders. He's clearly eyeing the position of the largest stakeholder."

"I have no conflict with you, Mr. Chen. In fact, my interests clash more with his. Rather than helping him oust you, I'd rather team up with you to kick him out."

"I think that shows my sincerity."

Chen Fan nodded slowly. He was starting to understand Jiang Hao's intentions.

"Of course, I do have a condition. I hope Mr. Chen will agree."

Jiang Hao added.

This wasn't surprising—why would someone go out of their way to help without asking for something in return?

"Go ahead."

Chen Fan said.

"Once we succeed in removing Feng Yanli, I plan to dismiss all of his cronies from the company as well. Their positions will become vacant, and I will fill them with my own people."

"I hope Mr. Chen will support me during the board meeting when that time comes."

So that was it. Jiang Hao intended to take this opportunity to consolidate power by filling those key roles with his loyalists—a smart move.

"I agree."

Chen Fan nodded.

He had no interest in managing those departments anyway. Even if Jiang Hao hadn't asked, Chen Fan wouldn't have gotten involved.

"Mr. Chen, you're decisive—I like that."

Jiang Hao beamed and stood up, extending his hand.

"Pleasure doing business."

Chen Fan stood and shook his hand.

The alliance was sealed.

After finishing the meal, Chen Fan left.

On the way back, he decided to set up a contingency, just in case.

Pulling out his phone, he made a call.

Elsewhere, in Drunken Immortal Tower, boss Luo Zhixin wore a grim expression as he stared at two middle-aged men in front of him.

These were the men he had sent to Wangjiang Pavilion the day before to stir up trouble.

He hadn't heard from them all day yesterday, and had feared something had happened. When he finally got the news, he was furious—these two and the bodyguards he sent were arrested and taken to the police station by Wangjiang Pavilion's new owner.

He had to pull strings to get them out.

"What the hell is wrong with you idiots? You can't even handle a simple job?!"

Luo Zhixin roared.

"Boss Luo, we had no choice."

"You didn't know that guy had an invitation from Boss Wei Jingxiong. He was on Boss Wei's turf. Even if we tried anything, we'd have been crushed!"

The men explained helplessly.

"Wei Jingxiong's invitation?!"

Luo's expression changed.

No way—Wangjiang Pavilion's new boss was tight with Wei Jingxiong?!

"You sure about that?!"

He asked suspiciously.

"Absolutely. The manager at Wangjiang Pavilion told us personally."

They confirmed.

"The manager said it?!"

Luo Zhixin was skeptical.

"What if they were just throwing Boss Wei's name around to scare you? Did you see anyone from Wei's camp delivering an invitation with your own eyes?"

He challenged.

"No, we didn't..."

They admitted, shaking their heads.

"Useless fools! You got played!"

In a rage, Luo kicked them several times.

He figured it out. That so-called invitation was probably fake—just a bluff from Wangjiang Pavilion's new boss to intimidate his men by name-dropping Wei Jingxiong.

"But boss, what if it's real? We can't afford to take that risk…"

One of them said timidly.

Luo Zhixin paused. He had a point.

Even if there was only a 10% chance, they couldn't afford to offend someone like Wei Jingxiong.

"Get the car ready. We're going to Fengqiao Villas."

Luo ordered loudly.

He hadn't made it this far in life without a powerful backer.

In this situation, there was only one person he could turn to—Fan Hongkai, chairman of the Fan Group, a figure whose influence rivaled even Wei Jingxiong's.

As the car was being prepared, Luo reluctantly opened his safe and took out a lavish brocade gift box—a pricey offering for a big favor.

If it weren't for the fear that the Wangjiang Pavilion owner really had ties to Wei Jingxiong, he wouldn't be doing this.

But with Chairman Fan's support, he wouldn't have to worry about Wei anymore. He'd tie up Wei Jingxiong's hands, and then Luo could easily crush that young Pavilion boss himself.

A few minutes later, Luo Zhixin headed straight for Fengqiao Villas.

The next day arrived.

At 9 AM, Chen Fan set off for Tengfei Group.

Elsewhere, Feng Yanli had already arrived, beaming with confidence as he prepared for the board meeting.

Today was the day he would kick Chen Fan out—completing President Kong Baisheng's request.

He had contacted President Kong yesterday, and the man assured him that if he succeeded in dealing with Chen Fan, he'd help Feng become the new largest shareholder of Tengfei Group.

Today would be the day Feng Yanli would rise to the top, stepping over Chen Fan's body!

The more he thought about it, the more excited he became—his body trembling with anticipation.

Just then, one of his confidants rushed over and whispered a few words in his ear.

In an instant, Feng Yanli's expression collapsed.
