Kiya and the rest were walking in the middle of the wasteland, tired. As the Guard had told them to be the killer's escorts. They were accompanied by a guard. Some of them were holding their tongues out. Even though they started walking early in the morning, they only reached half the way in 3 hours. Hit and Fred stuck close together while Thomas was cuffed with an extra chain in the in-charge guard's hand, kind of like a leash, and of course, the guard was riding a horse. Frederick was
"Im tired." Kiya said while holding his tongue.
"Me too." Genzo added as he imitated Kiya.
Kiya looked at Frederick, who was besides Hit. Hit looked depressed beyond comprehension. His gaze was on the ground as Fred looked at Hit with empathy.
"Hey, Can you give us some water?" Fred said, looking at the obviously visible can of water dangling on the guard's belt.
"Sorry, maaaaan, I seem to not have any." The guard said sarcastically with a smug look and small laugh and then turned around and focused on riding the horse.
This action angered Fred, but seeing that Hit's condition was bad, Fred didn't say anything. He again observed who was still fixated on the ground out of pure emotion and despair. Fred tried to comfort Hit multiple times, just for it to be of no avail.
They walked several kilometers for the guard to finally say.
"Just five more kilometers to the main block."
"Fuuu, what a relief, I guess." Kiya said, thankful for not having to walk another 5 or more miles.
They resumed their journey. Kiya and Genzo did not have anything to speak aboutbecause of the heat and sand. Frankly, they could not speak to each other even if they wanted to due to previously mentioned reasons.
They walked and walked as Kiya looked up to see a castle or fortress appear.
'Oh my god, I think we are here...' He thought he could not express his opinions because of his fatigue.
"And... HERE WE ARE… THE LAIR OF THE CAGED DEMON." The guard said as he raised his hands in an elegant way, presenting the fortress to them.
Thomas's eyes started to get wet, and his breathing got faster. He was shaking out of fear.
"NO....N…I WILL NOT GO IN THERE." Thomas said as he swiftly turned around, trying to run. Although trying to run away was a stupid decision, he still proceeded to try.
As the commotion was going on, a whistling sound vaguely struck everyone's ears. As the whistling sound slowly subdued, a voice emerged. The voice sound was rather cocky and overconfident.
???: "Whoaa, trying to run away?? What the hell am I here for?"
It was a male voice. A rock suddenly struck Thomas, which came from the shadows of the gate. The force of the rock helped dust to rise up. Amongst the dust, a monocle can be seen. A monocle with a golden edge.
"What the hell?" Kiya said as the rock hit Thomas.
"Whoaaa," Genzo said.
"Shit, Hit, isn't that your friend?" Fred asked Hit even after knowing the event that happened between them. He did this hoping to get a reaction from Hit, even if it's a negative one.
"..." Hit did not say anything, Frederick failing at his attempt.
As dust covered the whole area, everyone started coughing, and the guard tried to wake up Thomas, who was already unconscious from the hit.
"Shit, WAKE THE HELL UP." The guard yelled at Thomas while slapping him in the face multiple times, trying to get a reaction. Failing at this attempt, the guard stood up.
"Shit, I'm going to lose my job at this rate." He murmured to himself before coughing due to the dust.
"WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?" The guard yelled while looking at the monocle.
After a while, gazing at the monocle, he realized who it was.
'Shit, if it is who I think it is, then I'm screwed.' The guard thought.
"OOH, is this how you speak to YOUR MASTER, YOU DOG?'
After some more time, he fully came to the realisation that the person in front was the one who he was cautious of.
'SHIT, IT IS HIM. I'M GOING TO DIE. I BETTER APOLOGISE QUICKLY.' The guard thought as he hurriedly kneeled down, sweat running down his whole body like water from a tap.
"I... am very sorry, master... I didn't... I didn't know it was you... My dear master."
The figure slowly walked towards the guard. As the figure's steps pressed the ground, the group felt as if a massive rock was crushing each and every one of them.
"Good, good. Now, you will all kneel." As soon as the figure said this, everyone's knees became weak. Their next thought was to.
'KNEEL' This thought covered everyone's mind.
As everyone kneeled, a bucket of sweat also ran down with them.
As everyone kneeled, Kiya tried to catch a glimpse of his figure.
He was lean with dark red hair; his face structure was fair. His hair was slicked back. He was wearing a red suit, a yellow coat, and a red tie. His pants were also dark red, paired with boots. He had a monocle with golden edges. He had two guns, which seemed to be Melanix's.
"I am very sorry, my dear sir. I... I didn't know it was you."
"LIES, You saw my monocle and my stick, and you didn't know it was me?"
"I didn't see you from back there... Sir Reminor." The guard was scared to death; his voice began to shiver with each word.
"So, you won't admit it…eh? EAT THIS THEN." Reminor quickly grabbed his head and lifted it up so quickly that the guard didn't even realize it until a few moments later.
"Sir... Please... I beg of you... Please." The guard started crying as Reminor held him up in the air; the guard was hovering over the ground. Reminor suddenly struck the guard in the stomach with his knees.
"Shit." Kiya whispered to himself before looking at the other's face, which was in horror.
As Kiya's eyes were fixated on Reminor. Reminor quickly looked back at Kiya.
With the guard unconscious, Reminor dropped him on the ground and quickly went towards Kiya, who was still on the ground. Kiya cursed in his mind as he quickly looked at the ground. Kiya could see Reminor's shoes; he quickly looked up at Reminor.
Reminor also looked at Kiya with a wicked smile.
