Just when I thought this year couldn't get any much worse. I'm laying on my bed thinking about what I did to Jessie and then I get a call from Michael telling me that Serena's dead and she's been killed by Sekmetra.
I sit on from my bed with the phone still on my hand but not on my ear, Michael's voice fading into the background, I try to tell myself that it can't be. My best friend can't be dead and this is one of Michael's pranks.
But then mom barge into my room with tears in her eyes. sHEdidn't have to say it, I know Serena's gone and she's not coming back.
Turns out that stubborn bitch went to the woods alone when the community was given strict instructions to not go out alone and should always walk in groups. She was alone because she wanted Sekmetra to find her, she knew Sekmetra was going to find her because Sekmetra has looked around for nytheris but couldn't find.
