Chapter 9 - The south continent:

I tried to search for any other understandable word, but I couldn't find any, so I asked the scholar if he could understand this language, but he couldn't either. I asked him whether there was anyone in the palace who understood it. His answer was no; it was a strange language. This was the first time he had seen anything like it, so most likely no one would know it.

In return, he suggested that I ask a fortune‑teller who lived near us, between the mountains. I headed there with Kim, and after a while we arrived at the destination the scholar had described. We found a dilapidated mud house. I walked toward it and knocked on the door. After a few moments, a woman answered and asked, "Who are you?"

Kim stepped forward, motioned for me to remain silent, and said, "He is the king of the Wan Kingdom who wishes to consult you about something." After a brief silence, the door opened. The place was dark, so we entered. Candles burned at random points, and a woman stood among them.

She was wearing a strange black dress that covered her entire body from her hair to her toes. Holding a candle, her face still hidden, she turned her back and asked, "What do you want?"

Kim glanced at me; I understood and handed him the book. He passed it to her. She studied it, then asked, "Where did you get this?" still shielding her face.

"I found it in the palace library," I answered.

She returned the book and said, "This is the language of the inhabitants of the continent in the south. They are the only ones capable of translating it."

Suddenly the candles went out, and the woman disappeared into the darkness as if she had never existed.

We returned to the palace, and on our way back I asked Kim if he knew anyone from the southern continent. He told me no; he hadn't heard of anyone from the southern continent, and all who went there either died or were never heard from again except for one person. He said this while staring ahead, so I looked at him and asked, "Who was that person?"

"A man from the opposing kingdom the kingdom that defeated us, the Aurelisan Kingdom," he replied.

I thought to myself, This looks promising. Then I turned to him and said, "I will send a message to the queen in the morning, asking her permission to meet that person."

He met my gaze and said, "I do not know why you are interested in this book, my Lord, but you can have whatever you desire."

Shortly afterward, at sunset, we reached the palace.

When we arrived at the palace, I found the blogger waiting for me at the door. He asked me if I had found my goal. I answered him that the answer lies with one of the inhabitants of the southern continent. I passed him and then went to my room.

I lay on the bed looking at the ceiling and arranging my thoughts. A lot of events have happened in the past few days. I don't know if I will travel or get sad, but in the end there is a glimmer of hope.

I wish my mother remembered me; things would be easier. All these congratulations now, and the affairs of this country would be running smoothly. but i need to depend on my self .If I hadn't been addicted to historical dramas, I wouldn't have been able to do anything. Those who say historical drama is just boring don't know shit. If I weren't a Game of Thrones watcher, I would have been dead within the first hour I was here.

"Some things aren't useful in the short term, but you need them for the unexpected. Thank God for the blessing of watching Game of Thrones," I thought to myself.

After that, I fell into a deep sleep.

In the morning, Kim woke me up around 6:00 a.m. to write the letter to my mom ,i mean the queen. I got up and wrote it, then went back to sleep. I didn't wake up again until 1:00 a.m.

I had a delicious breakfast and then I went to talk to Kim. I wanted to ask him if he had a family and about his role in this palace. Is it old or new, but without raising suspicions.

After a long conversation with him, I learned that he was a person who was born and raised here, accompanied by his father, who was the servant and guard of royal family for all this time, as his grandfathers were also great and raised and were guards and assistants to all who succeeded him on the throne, and this is what justifies his loyalty. Then I also asked him about me. Did he notice any changes in his behavior between last week and this week, but he does not remember.

In addition, he is married and has a daughter, and he visits his family once a month.

So I told him to bring his family to live here in the section in the palace. Finally, we concluded the conversation by asking him when we would receive a response to the letter we sent. He replied that the response would be within five days.

Because of boredom, I decided to start practicing using the sword in order to defend myself at least. The first day was the basics day, so I started by training myself on the stance and how to hold it, then how to wave and move the body.

I need at least three to four months to learn the correct way to defend myself, and then at least a year to train and fight to hone my fighting instinct. But I don't have all that time, so I'll try to practice whenever I get the chance.

Recently, after five days, the messenger sent by Kim returned with a message from the queen, I mean my mother. The message was that she had executed that person a long time ago.
