"So, what is your inheritance that you been claiming about?" Transformed Kylia asked, turning Zirka over in her hands as she walked on the path leading to Lanayru Promenade West Gate. They had been on this road for dozens of days and by sheer luck were not discovered by any Kylian forces.
"Well, a better way to describe my inheritance would be to replenish or technically upgrade my power." Zirka explained.
"As we both know, long ago the Goddess created the Goddess Sword to aid the Hero. Then after being subjected to the three sacred flames along with the blessing of the Goddess Reincarnate, the newly evolved True Master Sword became a powerful relic that could seal Demise for thousands of years."
"Possessing immaculate powers over time and space, along with longevity, the sword has been used by the many reincarnations of the Hero to seal the incarnations of Demise throughout history."
"For example, splitting the timeline or even traveling back in time."
"This excessive use of the Master Sword without limits had slowly striped the sword of its origin with the passage of time."
"When I split off from the Master Sword, the Master Sword was already a shadow of its former self. It also did not help that I only taken a small portion of the Master Sword's origin power too."
"Luckly for me, I had split off from the original before it split the timeline into three, which had caused its origin power to suffer greatly. Soon that Goddess Sword will be shattered by the magic of a mere demon lord. How pathetic!"
"Of course, I did not fair much better. Thousands of years had not left a pleasant mark on me."
"Anyways back to the present, to regain strength and possibly surpass the current Master Sword, I need to find away to replenish my origin."
Kylia then asked a question. "But where are you going to find any of this origin stuff?"
"Well…" Zirka thought hard. "For starters we could go looking for the original and try absorbing her. I'm confident I'll succeed after all the Links that sword had to go through."
"…" Kylia said nothing, staring flatly at the hilt in her hand.
"Hehe…On second thought" Zirka chuckled nervously. "I was thinking of collecting the flames of the three dragons Farosh, Naydra and Dinraal. Although their flames are not as divine in nature as the sacred flames created by the Three Goddesses, after thousands of years its bound to be something, right?"
Kylia nodded and then asked a different question. "I notice both the Master Sword and Demise's Sword have unfathomable powers such as controlling time or teleporting through space. What power do you possess?"
"Me?" Zirka voice radiated incredulousness then boasts. "I possess the ultimate power. Space control! Look very closely."
Holding the blade to her face Kylia squinted. "Why do I feel like nothing is happening?"
"Look very closely…"
Holding Zirka right up to her eye, Kylia finally noticed something. At the very diffraction limit of the visible light spectrum or 0.00070mm, a cell of bacteria caught Kylia's eyes. From Kylia's view, the image of the bacteria all over the sword had begun to distort with ripples and waves yet the bacteria itself were largely unaffected, like watching fish through turbid waters.
"Are you…affecting space?"
"Yep! Neat huh?"
"Just, why so small?"
"Well, that's…ha…" Zirka sighed. "Because that's all I got…"
"Oh." For once Kylia looked at Zirka with a look of pity. "You must have had a tough life…"
"Shut up!"
With a sly, albeit grin Kylia continued the path until they arrived at the crossroads of Lanayru West Gate. Continuing up, the path leads to the middle of nowhere while taking a left they could either choose to proceed northwest to Goponga Village or east to Lanayru Bay.
"We are closest to the dragon Naydra, why not take it down first." Kylia suggested.
"Because its best to get the fires in the proper order. Who knows what will happen to me if I absorb Naydra's flame before Farosh's, I have never done something like this before." Zirka replied.
"Although, thinking about it Farosh is a long way over many mountain ranges to our right. Why don't we stop at Goponga Village first for the night, then fly over to the Faron region the next day?"
"Even if I can fly at my top non-powered speed (100km/h) for long stretches of time, it will still take me a five of hours of flying and it is getting dark out. Realistically I use morning updrafts to gain altitude before using air currents to soar my way around. That way I don't get tired, but it would then take several days to reach Goponga Village. I say we stay here for the night."
"Can't you just travel at sonic speeds?" Zirka asked.
"Only for a few dozen seconds." Kylia said.
"No way! I seen you channel out nuclear levels of power that could theoretically send you into orbit! Now you're telling me that you can only maintain sonic speeds for less than a minute? Let me see the way you fly at sonic speeds!"
With reluctance Kylia undid her transformation and instantly shot off at Mach 1, traveling hundreds of meters in a second before stopping instantly.
Panting, Kylia replied. "See?"
"Hmm…" Zirka thought to herself. "Tell me…did you feel any disorientation during the acceleration, like wanting to empty out your guts through your bowels?"
"What! No! Of course not!" Kylia threw a disgusted glance at the sword in her hand.
"Well, you should be! Do you know how fast you're accelerating? With my extreme talent in space, I've been tracking your coordinates during your acceleration and I noticed that you change your velocity with such intensity that the G force you experience during the 2.2 nanoseconds of acceleration is 80,000 times greater than the surface gravity of your typical white dwarf star, or 10 times weaker than that of an average neutron star."
"You can do math!?" Shocked, Kylia interrupted Zirka's explanation.
If Zirka had a face, it would have been coal black by now. Cursing, Zirka shot back. "For Hylia's sake! Of course I can, I'm descended from the Master Sword!"
"Anyways back to what I was saying. No wonder why you feel tired after half a minute. In fact, you should be somewhat proud of how your species flies, that is instinctive indestructibility! Imagine if you could consciously harness this ability to a lesser extent, you'll be invincible!"
Kylia blinked. "You're saying I should accelerate slower?"
"Not exactly just slower. I have a theory that when you accelerate at those speeds most of the energy you expend goes towards protecting your own body from the stresses of the extreme acceleration. You must learn to tightly manage you acceleration and your speed to not waste it on body reinforcement."
"In fact, I'm surprised you hadn't discovered something sooner with those wings of yours. Don't you fly a lot? Now thinking for a second, it's amazing that for a thousand years none of your species has even thought about it." Zirka bemoaned but was also a little curious. "Now that I am curious, I wonder what would cause your species to instinctively adapt to such a cowardly flying pattern. Something catastrophic must have pushed your species to be so edgy!"
Kylia rolled her eyes then asked. "So should we stay or go?"
Zirka's voice rang out of the sword.
"Well, go of course! With that talent of yours I bet you'll get a hang of flying long distances at sonic speeds in no time! The longer we stay here, the higher chance that Kylian forces stumble upon your location! Colonel Yuter with the 6th Battalion will be traveling through here so let's get going!"
…
"Ho! Here it is!" Demon Lord Ghirahim gazed at the luster of the ruby that he held. Besides him a poor unknown Hylian noble was shivering in the corner of his humble estate.
"Do you have any concept of how long I've been looking for this? Years! I thought I would never find it!" Ghirahim addressed the man.
"Huh. Not a talker I suppose? Well, onto the next one!" Snapping his fingers, the Demon Lord teleported away.
