Chapter 45 - So... You Can Enter My Sister’s Bedroom Whenever You Want Now?

"Anything you want to ask?"

Su Yang turned to Yukino.

Yukino stayed quiet for a moment before asking instead, "So… this is what the real world is like?"

"If that's how you want to see it, sure."

"Then... the world my sister's been involved in, is it like this too?"

"Yeah. A world that belongs to the supernatural."

Su Yang nodded. "Actually, the Yukinoshita family has always been part of the supernatural world."

To be honest, that revelation was a bit harsh for Yukino to take in.

She was the legitimate heir of a family deeply rooted in the supernatural world, yet she had known absolutely nothing about it. It made her feel… irrelevant.

But Su Yang quickly realized he had over-thought it.

"So that's what it was… No wonder when I was ten, my sister seriously asked me if I wanted to live an ordinary life. I thought she meant a life free from family obligations. Turns out she meant staying out of all this."

A look of dawning realization appeared on Yukino's face.

Su Yang: …

"Okay, so I thought you were deliberately being kept in the dark."

Looks like Haruno just really dotes on you. She didn't want you to get dragged into the supernatural world.

Thinking about it, it made sense. Once you're involved in the supernatural, there's no getting out. And it's dangerous.

Take Miko, for example.

Before she started seeing spirits, she was just your typical high school girl in the middle of her teenage years.

Now? She acts like a paranoid little quail, constantly trying to deceive herself.

And after finding out about ghouls? She's even more on edge, like just walking down the street could get her eaten alive.

So pitiful.

Wait a second… Wasn't that my fault?

Hmm… in that case, she's not pitiful. She's… cute?

"So, because you're also someone involved in the supernatural, the arranged marriage partner got switched to my sister?"

Yukino interrupted Su Yang's wandering thoughts, finally piecing things together.

"Uh… more or less."

Su Yang shrugged. "Mainly, it's because I got into a fight early this morning."

"With that Suguru Geto guy?"

"Yeah."

"Is he strong?"

"Well, how do I put it..."

Su Yang paused for a second. "If Geto went all out, he could probably wipe Tokyo off the map in a matter of minutes."

"Assuming no one tried to stop him, and that we're only talking about regular civilians."

Yukino didn't respond.

This was the supernatural world?

One person could destroy all of Tokyo?

Wait, if Suguru Geto is that powerful, then...

Her gaze shifted to Su Yang.

"Then how strong are you exactly?"

"Me? That's hard to explain."

Realizing she wouldn't understand unless he gave an example, Su Yang continued, "You saw Satoru Gojo earlier, right? Don't let his laid back attitude fool you. In a real fight, Geto might last a few minutes against him. Maybe even less."

"But Gojo, against me? He wouldn't last a second."

Yukino fell silent again, then gave Su Yang a skeptical look.

She clearly didn't believe him.

"You don't believe me?"

Her eyes practically said it for her: Not at all.

Su Yang didn't say anything back. Instead, he reached out and placed his right hand on Yukino's shoulder.

Just as she frowned and was about to protest,

Flying Thunder God Technique!

Whoosh!

In an instant, the two vanished from where they stood. The next moment, they reappeared at the top of Tokyo Tower.

Yukino was stunned.

Just a second ago, they were still in Su Yang's villa.

How did they end up here?

"Thoughts?"

Su Yang smiled faintly.

"Can all people in the supernatural world do this?"

Yukino asked.

"Of course not."

Su Yang looked exasperated. Now he got it,Yukino really had no clue about the supernatural world.

To an ordinary person, teleporting across dozens of kilometers was practically impossible.

With no background knowledge, the only thing she could conclude was that people involved in the supernatural are insanely powerful.

Exactly, Yukino's impression wasn't that he was powerful, but that supernatural people in general were.

"...Forget it. I'd better just take you home and let your sister give you a crash course."

Shaking his head, Su Yang used the Flying Thunder God Technique again.

This time, they appeared at the Yukinoshita family's old residence.

But as Yukino recognized the familiar surroundings, her expression turned dark.

"So what, you're just showing off that you can pop into my sister's bedroom whenever you feel like

"Mm, this is Haruno's bedroom."

Su Yang found himself at a complete loss for words.

Around 9 PM, in a local tavern.

Gojo Satoru entered and went straight into a private booth.

Inside, waiting for him, was none other than Geto Suguru.

"You finally showed up."

Seeing Gojo walk in, Geto visibly relaxed.

"You didn't seriously wait here all day, did you?"

Gojo gave Geto a baffled look, but when he saw his friend's deadpan expression, he got his answer.

Wait, seriously?

He was speechless. But the moment he thought of Su Yang, he couldn't help but feel a little sympathetic toward Geto.

Especially after seeing Su Yang again today,Gojo couldn't shake the feeling that the guy had become even more terrifying. Was it just his imagination? Or had Geto gotten beaten so badly it was affecting his perception?

Gojo sat across from him and asked with a grin,

"I've got two pieces of news, one good, and one bad. Which do you want first?"

The way he smiled made Geto want to punch him.

But the truth was, whether it was this smug Gojo or that headache-inducing Su Yang, he couldn't beat either of them.

"I've had enough bad luck already. Just give me the good news," Geto sighed.

"Hahaha! The good news is, Su Yang's agreed not to come after you anymore!" Gojo laughed. "Pretty great news, right?"

Geto didn't respond. He just sat there in silence.

"…Sigh."

As if realizing something, Geto exhaled and asked,

"Alright. What's the price?"

From the way Gojo was acting, it was obvious the price wouldn't be cheap.

Because that was clearly the bad news.

"The bad news is… you need to cough up 1,000 Grade 1 Cursed Spirits!" Gojo said cheerfully.

"…Heh."

Geto gave him a dry laugh and simply stared, eyes full of disdain, like he was watching an idiot.

"Hey, what's with that look? Su Yang really did ask for that!" Gojo protested.

"But thanks to my relentless negotiation, he eventually backed off," he added quickly.

"He just wants to see how many you're willing to part with. As in,how many cursed spirits you'd be willing to trade."

"What does he even want cursed spirits for?" Geto's eyes narrowed slightly.

Suddenly, things began to make sense.

No wonder Su Yang never attacked him directly. He just kept killing cursed spirits and even urged Geto to summon more.

So that was it.

He wasn't after me, he was after my cursed spirits.

"I have no idea," Gojo shrugged. "He just said he wanted to try something."

"As expected… You're totally useless," Geto muttered, rising from his seat.

"Huh? Where are you going?" Gojo called after him.

"To talk to him directly. I don't have time to waste listening to your nonsense."

Now that he understood what Su Yang wanted, there was no point dragging this out.

"Wait, seriously? You're just gonna ditch me like that?!"

Gojo shouted after him, but Geto didn't even glance back.

Left alone, Gojo sighed and turned his attention to the feast in front of him.

One hour later,

A furious roar echoed throughout the tavern.

"GETO SUGURU, YOU BASTARD! YOU REALLY LEFT ME WITH THE BILL?!"

"You freeloader! Just you wait, I'll make you pay for this!"
