John POV

After buying a map and a horse from the bartender, I made my way North to where the Black Dog Gang headquarters are.

From the information I got from the bartender, the Black Dog Gang is a weaker part of this so-called "Underground Organization." Although they're considered weak, they still have a few hundred men in that town, all of 'em armed to the teeth, be it woman or children.

After I made it close to the Black Dog Gang town, I got off my horse and made my way to a forest nearby, where I could scout the town.

However, after a few minutes of scouting the town, I noticed that they were well guarded, and I could only scout a portion of the base because of it.

"Forty-six, forty-seven, forty-eight, an' forty-nine… How the hell am I s'posed to kill this many folks?"

I counted the people inside the village, but it was only a small portion of the population. However, as I continued to count, I focused my eyes on a man I couldn't see. Then suddenly, everything slowed down, and golden lights filled the air everywhere.

I looked around in high alert and held my gun, ready to shoot at any moment. But after a few seconds, the lights suddenly disappeared, and the falling leaves fell at normal speed.

"What in tarnation just happened?!" I yelled

Once I ensured that everything was fine, I cautiously made my way into the town. As I entered, I quickly realized I had misjudged the threat level of this gang. Many of the members were exceptionally tall, with an average height of around 6'4", and their physiques were anything but ordinary.

Just like the Marine I met back then, these gangsters' muscles were bulging out of their clothing. Not only did they look physically stronger than me, but they also had better weapons. Some of them used swords, but most of them had guns on their back or hips.

However, there was one good thing. And that was the fact that most of the houses aren't full, meaning that most of these men are the only ones here.

At best, there are around 100 men in this town.

A few more hours passed as I waited and scanned the area. What I was looking for was a woman in her 30s.

The bartender had given me a bounty of a woman named Reagan Horse, the current leader of the Black Dog Gang, with a bounty of 11 Million Berries.

I need to find her so I can find where this so-called underground organization is.

After a few hours of waiting, the sun began to go down. As I was about to leave for the day, I saw a large crowd heading towards the village gates. In the center of the crowd was a woman riding a horse with a sack behind her.

"30 million in gold, boys!" She yelled.

Everyone cheered, and after a few minutes of chatting with some of the gang members, Reagan Horse finally entered the house.

I was about to follow her when I stopped as I saw 2 men following her and 1 guarding the door. The one that entered with her was a man the bartender warned me about, Jayce Horse.

Jayce was the right-hand man and was the cousin of Reagan. The bartender told me that Jayce would rarely leave Reagan behind. And from the sound of it, he was quite powerful.

From the window, I saw that the two went down the basement carrying the sack of gold with them.

I wanted to enter and ask them a few questions, but with a guard guarding the entrance, I couldn't do a thing. If I were to kill the guy, it would make a commotion as the house was facing the street withing plain view.

Out of options, I sneaked behind the house and found that the window wasn't locked.

I opened the window and entered the house, but as soon as I set my foot on the hardwood floor, a creak was made that alerted the two, as I heard Reagan say, "What the hell was that?"

"I don't know, I told Jog not to enter unless I tell him to." Said Jayce.

A click sound was made, then Reagan continued, "Here, use this gun and check out what's happening up there. Make it quick! I need someone to put all this money in the safe!"

"I'll make it quick."

When the two stopped talking, I heard someone coming up from the basement. I quickly hid behind the right side of the door, where there was a corner he couldn't see.

When he opened the door and moved outside a bit, I went behind him and covered his mouth and snapped his neck before he could do anything.

I supported his now-dead body and laid him down on the floor gently so that there would be no sound.

I took his gun and went down to the basement, where I saw the door still open and Reagan was taking out gold bars from the sack while turned away from me.

I snuck up behind her and covered her mouth with a gun pointed right at her back. "Say a word and you're dead. Got it?"

She nodded her head in response.

"Good," I said as I took out her gun and knife from her waist.

I sat her down on a chair while my gun was still pointed at her, "You'll answer my question—make it fast, clear, and quiet."

She glared at me, "Fine. I'll do everything… Only if you don't take the money."

I glanced at the gold bars. "Alright, I could do that."

She smiled, "Then go ahead, I'll do my best answering your questions."

"Smart woman. Alrighty then—first question: you know anybody who goes by the last name Marston?

Reagan shook her head, "No, I don't."

"You know anything 'bout that underground organization folks been whisperin' about?"

Reagan tensed and raised her brows at me, "Why do you wanna know-"

Before she could finish, a click came out from the revolver I was holding.

She stared at the gun and smiled, "Yes, yes, I do."

"Good. Now tell me—what exactly are they? What do they do? And how much info can you get outta 'em?"

Reagan chuckled, "If you need information, they probably have it. The so-called underground organization is called The Agency. It's an underground organization made of bounty hunters, merchants, slave traders, and many other underground criminal organizations. It's one of the most well-known underground organizations, competing with the likes of Germa 66 at North Blue."

I nodded and asked, "Where's their main base of operations? Is it at the Capital?"

Reagan looked at me and laughed, "No way you actually think that the East Blue branch is the main one!"

*Smack*

I smacked her with the gun in my hand, which caused her to stop laughing and glare at me with blood coming out of her lips.

She spoke with oozing killing intent, "The one on this island is just a small branch. The main one is all the way in the New World."

I stood dazed and confused.

'Are there multiple worlds in this world?' I thought to myself. However, that thought quickly faded as they could be talking about a newly discovered continent.

I was about to speak again when suddenly, I saw Reagan standing up and kicking my hand with the gun in it. The gun was sent flying on the floor, which we both watched slide underneath the table.

We looked at each other, and she smiled, "You're pretty weak."

She dashed towards me and tackled me to the ground. And I had to admit, she was way stronger than me.

"How in tarnation you get that strong with a scrawny body like yours?!"

She chuckled, "I'll take that as a compliment."

She took my revolver from my waist and pointed it at my face with a grin.

*Click*

"Gotcha, Cowboy."
