Chapter 15 - chapter15

Indigo led someone out, and Wen Yao saw them from a distance.

"Young Master Indigo, why are you here?"

Aenwyn let go of Indigo's hand and took a step back. She had seen this man before. He was the one who led the killing at the auction.

Indigo looked at them coldly. The way he acted in front of others was completely different from how he was with her.

He always looked arrogant and careless, which made people want to punch him.

"Why did you bring so many people to my villa gate? What, does your young master want to gift me a fine horse again?"

"Please don't be angry, Young Master Indigo. I'm just looking for someone in this area," Wen Yao replied, his tone showing a bit of longing.

"I wonder if you've seen the woman from yesterday. She was so beautiful. I've never seen anyone like her."

"But she ran away."

Indigo curled his lips, speaking without emotion. "That's a pity."

Such a conversation killer, no one knew how to respond.

Wen Yao smiled awkwardly. "Please go ahead with your day, I won't disturb you anymore."

But after walking two steps, he turned back.

"Who's this?" Wen Yao asked with confusion. He had seen most of the Indigo household's servants. The person in front of him only reached his chest, with dark skin, head lowered, and very unnoticeable.

"A newly bought servant."

Indigo was about to leave with Aenwyn.

"Wait."

"What is it?"

Wen Yao noticed Indigo's eyes turning cold.

"Your neck?" he asked.

Aenwyn felt a jolt in her chest. What about her neck? It felt a little itchy.

Oh no, she forgot to apply makeup on her neck.

"Your neck is so red," Wen Yao still spoke despite Indigo's cold look. He stared at the red bumps on her neck, unsure how to explain.

Then his face changed dramatically.

"Could it be smallpox?"

Everyone quickly stepped back. Smallpox could be deadly.

Indigo stepped forward and pulled open her collar to look.

A large area was swollen, with clusters of red bumps all over.

If no one mentioned her neck, Aenwyn might have been fine. But now it itched badly. She couldn't help but raise her hand to scratch. Her slender hand was immediately grabbed by Indigo.

"It's probably an allergic reaction." He looked at the red bumps on her neck with tightly furrowed brows.

Damn it, the servant clothes were made of coarse hemp.

Wen Yao noticed that the servant had pretty hands. He looked more carefully at the short figure's face and realized the person looked quite nice. He felt like he had discovered something shocking.

He didn't expect that not only did Indigo have a beautiful man hidden in his house, but also a delicate little servant living in this villa. This figure looked familiar.

Before he could get a better look, Indigo picked up the little servant in his arms and left.

"Where are we going?" Aenwyn asked.

"Don't move. Taking you to see a doctor."

After they were gone,

"So tight… could it be even better than a woman?" someone asked curiously.

Wen Yao frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Chief, you don't know. At the auction yesterday, Young Master Indigo paid fifty gold just for a tea spot, but left early before even seeing the person."

He grinned as he spoke.

"Maybe it was that person or the beautiful one at his home who called him back."

Wen Yao listened and looked thoughtfully at their fading figures.

"Chief, we've searched all morning. Can we rest a bit?"

He looked away. "Alright. Let's go drink. A beauty like that isn't easy to find."

"Yeah, done for the day."

"If I got a beauty like that, I'd vanish right away, not hide her and wait for someone to find her."

"True, she's really something."

"I wonder if that part is big. I heard women's parts are really soft."

"Haha, you beast."

"If we really found her, I'd want to touch her too."

"Dream on. Even if we find her, someone like us would never get close."

They laughed and joked. The beauty had stirred up the whole city. They had searched all night and were completely worn out.

"Chief, aren't you supposed to report back to the young master?"

"Yeah. After eating."

Jishengtang.

"It's nothing, just an allergic reaction," Doctor Ri stroked his beard as he spoke. "The skin is too delicate, it can't handle rough linen."

He had seen this before. Young masters used to comfort and luxury, after their country collapsed and they became slaves, would break out in rashes from the rough clothes. Once their skin got tougher, it would be fine.

"Not even prescribing some ointment?" Indigo wasn't satisfied.

Doctor Ri glanced at him and Aenwyn, then called to the medicine apprentice nearby, "Bring some Snow-Skin Ointment. Next one."

Indigo was satisfied and went to the counter to pay.

Aenwyn stepped aside to let the next patient take her place.

Jishengtang was busy, most patients seemed to be here for bruises and sprains. The one behind her looked like he had been punched in the face.

"Is this for skin?" Aenwyn asked the apprentice. The name made it sound like a skincare ointment.

"How many times a day?"

The apprentice shook his head. "Snow-Skin Ointment is for applying to the rear."

The rear? Aenwyn was confused. She was having an allergic reaction, what did that have to do with the rear?

Wait a second, rear meant — butt!

"What do I need this for?!" Aenwyn shouted. Doctor Ri must be going senile.

"Didn't your young master ask for some ointment?" the apprentice replied impatiently, stuffing the jar into her hand. "Apply externally and internally, so it doesn't crack during intimacy."

"Apply before the act, now go, go, go." The apprentice pushed her away. "Don't block the line, others are waiting."

"Hahaha, why so angry little miss? Is it because your master isn't big enough to need it?"

"Want to try mine?"

Aenwyn was furious. She glared at the man, about to deal with him.

"Try yours, what?" Indigo returned after paying. He grabbed the man by the collar, a cold look on his handsome face.

"Ah, Master Indigo."

"I didn't know who you were, my mistake, my mistake."

"Get lost…" Indigo kicked him hard. The man tumbled away and scrambled out.

Indigo turned and asked, "Got the medicine?"

"Yeah, here, for you to use. Apply inside and out, once a day."

Aenwyn shoved it into his hand and walked off.

What kind of insane world was this? Every day was a new shock to her system.

Indigo looked at the ointment in his hand, confused. Why was she angry again?

He sighed. Just like the books said, women are hard to understand.

"Still itchy? Want to buy some clothes first?" It was his first time comforting a girl, and he awkwardly squeezed out the words.

"I'll wander around first." Her anger faded as quickly as it came. This was her first time truly exploring this world. Everything was fascinating.

Men were everywhere, not a single woman in sight. Taverns were packed. She wondered how she could make a living here.

Should she sell paintings, or maybe liquor? She knew how to distill alcohol and could probably make strong liquor.

Just then someone stopped them.

"Master Indigo, want to buy one? It's the painting of that stunning girl from Spring Breeze Courtyard," the man grinned and tried to sell to Indigo. It was the same one who had been selling erotic art the other day.

Indigo glanced at Aenwyn and grew interested. "Let me see."

Aenwyn was curious too, wondering how they had drawn her.

As the scroll unrolled…

???

What in the world was this? The face somewhat resembled her with makeup. But that chest? Was hers ever that big? The exaggerated curves were ridiculous.

"Ugly," Aenwyn commented.

That was her being polite. The proportions were all wrong. The lines were a mess. Even the students she had taught back in art school could draw better figures than this. Even average high schoolers could.

What kind of trash heap did they dig this up from? Just looking at it hurt her eyes.

"Your master hasn't said a word, why are you, a servant, speaking?" The vendor was offended. "What's ugly about it?"

"Everything."

"How much for this trash?" Aenwyn was genuinely curious.

"Hmph, fifty taels. Not that you could afford it anyway." He ignored her and turned back to his real customer.

"Master Indigo, what do you think?"

Indigo looked at the painting, then at Aenwyn, his face reddening slightly.

Aenwyn could tell what he was thinking right away. That barefaced, sensual image was enough to make him blush.

"Don't you start thinking anything weird."

Indigo shook his head, a small smile playing at his lips. "Nope."
