Chapter 101 - Chapter 102 Returning after learning

Fastest update of the latest chapter of "Clark in the Marvel Universe"!

"He's so shameless." From afar, Casilius watched Clark and couldn't bear to look directly at him due to Clark's actions. He couldn't help but complain to Mordo.

"But he didn't use any other powers." Facing Mordo's complaints, Gu Yi (the Ancient One) simply smiled.

The Ancient One could see that Casilius was a very talented student. She even planned for Casilius to become her next Sorcerer Supreme.

But precisely because Casilius's magical journey had been too smooth, he became overly arrogant. And once someone becomes arrogant, trouble often follows. Casilius still had many inner demons.

So the Ancient One's original plan was to have Casilius battle Clark—so he would realize that there are others more talented than him in the world. This way, he could put down his pride and learn with humility.

Fortunately, the current situation seemed to be going well for the Ancient One. No matter how Clark fought, as long as he could defeat Casilius using only magical power, it would suffice.

Once Clark discovered that his light shield had a mysterious effect, a brilliant idea suddenly popped into his mind.

Relying on his immense energy reserves, Clark created a high-light shield on five sides—front, back, left, right, and above—surrounding Casilius. Then he slowly moved the shields inward, compressing toward the center.

Casilius never expected Clark to use such a skill—but it wasn't entirely his fault. Before Clark, while magic had always been radiant due to its energy source, no one had ever created shields so dazzlingly bright. The effect was nearly blinding.

Even though Clark's bright shields blinded him, Casilius could still sense something approaching through his magical senses. But he didn't have a good solution.

After all, although he ranked among the top students in Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One had never taught him any advanced spells. Like most others, he only knew the basics—shielding, weapon conjuring, portal creation, and the Mirror Dimension.

So, facing Clark's crushing light-shield attack, Casilius could only tightly shut his eyes and curl into the center of the light shields.

"It's over. The outcome is decided." Seeing that Clark had successfully sealed Casilius within his shields, the Ancient One knew the battle was finished. Casilius no longer had the strength to break through.

She waved her hands, and the ground beneath her and the others moved like a boat, pushing the earth forward until they arrived at Clark's location.

Seeing the Ancient One arrive, Clark waved his hand and dismissed the five shields surrounding Casilius. But even with the shields gone, Casilius still couldn't open his eyes.

Having been exposed to Clark's blinding light for a while, Casilius now felt pain in both his eyes and head. His eyelids refused to cooperate, and tears streamed uncontrollably down his face.

Looking at Casilius, the Ancient One knew he was suffering both mentally and physically from this humiliating defeat.

She turned to Mordo and said, "Mordo, take Casilius back to his room to rest."

"You really went hard on him this time. He'll need a while to recover," Diana said with a laugh, watching Casilius stumble away like a blind man with Mordo's help.

"Uh..." Clark felt a bit wronged. He had been trying to make Casilius lose with some dignity. He hadn't even attacked directly. He didn't expect that his new idea would make Casilius so miserable.

"It's okay. Failure may not be a bad thing for him." Looking at Casilius as he left, the Ancient One wasn't sure what lesson Casilius would take from this defeat.

"Let's hope so." Despite saying this, Clark still believed that Casilius would eventually become evil. In the original story, he was a villain—this reality likely wouldn't change much. Judging by his looks, he seemed born to be a villain.

Still, Clark felt the Ancient One must have her own considerations—after all, she possessed the Time Stone. If Doctor Strange could use it to glimpse the future, there was no reason to think the Ancient One couldn't.

"Oh right, Master Ancient One, sorry to have disturbed you these past two days. Now that I can control the power of the Cosmic Cube, I won't trouble you any longer."

Clark figured that since he could now harness the Cosmic Cube's power, there was no need to stay in Kamar-Taj. He also didn't know what was happening in New York or whether Nick Fury and the others had gathered the Avengers yet.

After bidding farewell to the Ancient One, Clark opened a portal to New York.

"Amazing!" Stepping through the portal, Diana looked at the familiar scenery in awe.

Even though she had traveled between worlds before, Diana was still amazed at Clark's ability to open a spatial portal so effortlessly.

"Whether you want to learn or not, I can teach you. But without the Mystic Rings, I don't know if you'll succeed."

"It's fine. I already tried at Kamar-Taj. My powers and those of the sorcerers don't really mesh. I probably won't be able to learn their magic." Diana admired the portals, but knew it wasn't for her.

Her power was derived from Zeus in Greek mythology, and her essence was full of wild thunder. She couldn't achieve the precise energy control required for spellcasting.

"Alright. I'll contact Coulson and see where they are and what progress they've made." As he spoke, Clark pulled out his phone and called Coulson. He didn't call Nick Fury—because that guy's phone was unreachable 360 days a year.

While Clark was calling Coulson, in a damp underground tunnel, a group was gathered around a glowing blue cube, assembling various devices.

Loki, looking at the nearly finished base, activated the function of the scepter in his hand. Before coming, the Chitauri leader had told him that once he had the Tesseract, he should report back—and they would begin the next phase.

As Loki activated the Mind Stone, the surrounding environment blurred. When it cleared again, he was back on the Chitauri mothership.

"Did you get the Tesseract? My soldiers are getting impatient!" As Loki's projection appeared, the Chitauri commander opened his long-closed eyes.

"Just tell them to prepare. I already have the Tesseract. If your method is right, I'll soon open a portal to Earth."

"But if you want the Tesseract, your army had better be as 'invincible' as you claim!" Loki, ever arrogant, had no intention of giving up now that he had the Cosmic Cube.

"Are you questioning the great Thanos? Don't forget who gave you the scepter—who taught you how to use the power of cosmic magic. Before this, you were just a homeless orphan."

"I am the rightful King of Asgard! The throne should've been mine!" Loki grew agitated at the mention of Asgard.

"If you want to be king, then bring us the Cube. Just know this—if you fail, no matter where you run, he will find you. You don't even know what real pain is… do you?!"
