"How are you feeling?" Lance asked when he came to picked her up from her new house. Jaxon couldn't come because there were a few things he had to handle before he left for the Silver Moon pack.
"Awful," Fenja said sullenly. She felt comfortable enough with the gamma that she could complain to him. She wouldn't do this in front of Tace, moreover the alpha.
"You shouldn't have agreed," Lance said, as he made a bowl of cereal, helping himself in Fenja's kitchen. "You know that you can refuse the alpha's request, right?"
"I know." Fenja sat down next to him, she was depressed. She didn't want to go back to the Silver Moon pack, but what else she could do when she had already agreed to it? "I wanted to decline, but the word that came out of my mouth was different answer."
