Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 – The World Stage

Mariejois – Pangaea Castle

The golden halls gleamed with opulence.

Marble lions. Velvet drapes. Guard columns from every nation.

The Reverie had begun.

Twenty kings and queens, emperors and tyrants, saints and sinners—gathered under the illusion of unity.

They came to debate borders. To discuss pirates. To feign peace.

And me?

I came to watch them pretend.

The Boy in the White Mask

The instant I entered the chamber, all conversation died.

A thousand eyes flicked toward me.

Royal guards stiffened. Kings gripped their thrones. Queens clenched pearls and prayers.

I was the youngest person in the room. And somehow… the most dangerous.

I didn't smile.

I just strolled forward, flanked by Raisa and Mireille—both dressed in translucent silks that exposed more than they hid. Every inch of their poise was trained, calculated, lewd but untouchable.

They weren't here to seduce.

They were here to unbalance.

And it worked.

The Kings React

King Riku of Dressrosa narrowed his eyes but said nothing.

King Cobra of Alabasta whispered to a nearby Revolutionary agent.

Stelly of Goa Kingdom, ever the idiot, opened his mouth to speak—and stopped when Mireille's gaze pinned him like an insect.

"I didn't know the Celestial Dragons sent children now," Queen Mororon of Sorbet muttered.

I stopped just beside her and leaned close.

"Good," I whispered. "Because children learn new tricks. Old fools like you only decay."

She paled.

The Sea Kings could've erupted from beneath the castle and caused less disruption than my words.

The Five Elders Speak

In the upper chamber, behind polished glass, the Gorosei watched.

One of them—bald, with a sword that had never dulled—muttered:

"He's too theatrical."

Another, the tall one with dreadlocks, replied, "He's effective."

"No one trusts him."

"Exactly. That's why he works."

Their eyes remained on me.

The wild card they allowed to live.

The Empress Returns

And then—she arrived.

Boa Hancock. Warlord of the Sea. Queen of Amazon Lily.

Every man in the room turned to stone—or wished they could.

And yet, when her eyes found me…

...they hardened.

No passion. No confusion.

Only quiet fury.

We hadn't spoken since I left her.

After using her.

After breaking her trust.

But the scars I left?

They were still warm.

She walked past me without a word.

But I knew her heart beat faster.

I could feel it.

Like a drum begging to break.

The Reverie Begins

A bell chimed. The discussions began.

Wapol wanted money.

Cobra wanted truth.

Riku wanted justice.

No one got what they wanted.

Because they all talked.

And I watched.

I leaned back, sipping gold wine, twirling a dagger beneath the table.

Every time a nation begged for aid, I marked their name.

Every time a queen lied about resources, I noted it.

I was not here to fix anything.

I was here to measure weaknesses.

Because war was coming.

And when it did?

I'd know exactly where to strike.

A Quiet Meeting

Later, deep within the castle gardens—where even cameras feared to wander—I met someone unexpected.

Shanks.

Yes, that Shanks.

The Yonko. The Red-Haired Emperor.

He stood by the koi pond, watching the ripples like they mattered.

When I approached, he didn't turn.

"You've made a lot of noise, Lucien," he said quietly.

I didn't deny it.

"Noise gets attention," I replied.

"It also gets you killed."

I smiled.

"So do you."

He turned then. Just enough to look me in the eye.

"Are you going to ruin this world?"

I gave the only honest answer:

"Only a little."

Epilogue – The Decision

Later that night, as the nobles slept and the stars loomed heavy over the holy land, a voice whispered in a sacred chamber.

A voice that never should've existed.

"She's returned," the voice said.

"Boa Hancock?"

"No. Her."

Silence followed.

Then one word.

Spoken by a being so far above kings, even the sky didn't know his name.

"Lucien will deal with it."

"Are you sure?"

"Lucien… always handles our dirty work."
