Chapter 134: Obito
In Terumi Mei's room, George held Terumi Mei's left hand while preparing to enter the Mirror Dimension with his right hand.
"Let go of me! Where are you taking me?" Terumi Mei demanded, ready to gather chakra to break free.
"Alright, since you're resisting, forget it," George replied, releasing her hand. He glanced at the misty window, his tone sharpening. "I didn't come here to argue."
"Before coming here, I sensed that Uchiha Madara was in your Mizukage Tower. It would be perfect to go there now and deal with them all at once. I'm not interested in planning things step by step. I want to show you my strength, so consider this your last chance."
After finishing his statement, George stepped into the Mirror Dimension. Terumi Mei paused for a moment, then reached out to touch the mirror-like, shattered space in front of her.
Her hand disappeared as if it weren't there. After taking two quick steps, Terumi Mei followed him inside.
Within the Mirror Dimension, Terumi Mei looked around. Everything seemed as it had before. Yet the air felt heavier, like moving through still water.
Her footsteps echoed without sound, and not a soul around even blinked at her presence.
As she moved forward, she realised that the people around her couldn't see her at all. This dimension felt entirely separate from reality.
Though she wanted to ask about this Sealing Technique, she decided against it, understanding that it would be inappropriate to pry into someone else's information.
In silence, the two arrived at the Mizukage's office. From within the Mirror Dimension, they observed Yagura facing a Mist Ninja who was performing some Ninjutsu on him.
George understood that this was Uchiha Obito consolidating his control.
From a capabilities standpoint, Uchiha Obito's Sharingan had spatial abilities but lacked genjutsu effects.
Therefore, George believed that Yagura was being controlled by a type of puppet Ninjutsu created by Madara, using the Sharingan's ability to control Tailed Beasts.
The reason for this was that Madara's creation rather than Obito's was simply due to Obito lacking that particular capability.
Moreover, it was not that others hadn't noticed Yagura's control; anyone who had discovered it met with fatal outcomes.
The Bloody Mist enabled Obito to manipulate a group of rebels into eliminating all suspicious individuals.
George brought Terumi Mei out of the Mirror Dimension, revealing a Mist Ninja with his hand placed firmly on Yagura's head.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
Several kunai flew rapidly toward George and Terumi Mei.
The Mist Ninja's eyes widened as he formed rapid hand signs, mist thickened, chakra surged, but George moved like a phantom through it all.
George stepped forward, dodging the kunai aimed at him. In response, he swung his hands, instantly enveloping the entire office with shattered mirrors.
It was best not to alarm the outside world with their fight, as that would complicate Terumi Mei's plans for controlling the entire Mist Village.
Not one to play fair, George teleported directly in front of Yagura. Just as Yagura reacted, George's right palm pressed against his body.
Multiple energy chains began to spread from George's hand as he executed a Sealing Technique. He not only sealed the Tailed Beast within Yagura but also sealed Yagura's chakra.
Beside him, Terumi Mei stayed silent, but her fists clenched. She had spent years preparing for this coup, only to watch a stranger tear through it in seconds.
As the Fourth Water Shadow and the Jinchuriki of the Three-Tails, Yagura was capable of fully controlling the Tailed Beast's power.
His original abilities were formidable; however, he faced George, an opponent who defied logic. In front of George, speed wasn't just an advantage; it was the only chance. And Yagura was too slow.
Unlike many strong individuals who would typically engage in combat for a while before using their ultimate moves, George believed in resolving battles quickly. Yagura was subdued and lying on the ground before he could even summon the power of the Three-Tails.
From the viewpoint of the other two in the room, George appeared in front of Yagura, and in an instant, Yagura collapsed, completely incapacitated, without even a proper defence.
Uchiha Obito, disguised as a Mist Ninja, assessed the situation coldly. He didn't waste time pretending to be shocked or trying to engage; he immediately prepared to retreat.
With a sharp "bang," he slammed into the edge of the shattered mirror barrier surrounding the room, his body bouncing back from the dimensional trap.
"Die."
George's voice rang out low and firm. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared in front of Obito, aiming his right hand toward the man's neck.
But instead of the satisfying contact of skin, his fingers passed through air. Obito's body flickered, intangible.
"With just this much strength, you dare to boast about killing me? You're underestimating Uchiha Madara!" Obito sneered from across the room, having used the Body Flicker Technique to evade.
His mask tilted slightly as if amused.
George gave a slight nod. "Fine, I'll call you Uchiha Madara for now."
He disappeared again, this time appearing behind Obito.
"Unfortunately, all your moves have already been seen through by me."
George's right hand was already resting on Obito's shoulder. Obito's eyes widened as he reflexively activated Kamui.
His body vanished into a swirling vortex, entering the alternate space of the Kamui Dimension.
But just as he began to feel the false safety of his domain, a chilling voice echoed behind him.
"This is the Kamui Dimension, isn't it?"
Obito's blood ran cold. His eyes darted to his right. George was standing there, a large hand already pressed to his shoulder.
"How... how is that possible?!"
A powerful energy surged through his body as George began sealing his chakra. Obito collapsed moments later, paralysed and stunned.
Uchiha Obito's Kamui Dimension was once regarded as an unbreachable fortress, a perfect defence that could not be touched.
And yet George had entered it as if it were nothing more than another room.
Obito, now on the ground, trembled in disbelief. The legendary Kamui Ninjutsu, while virtually unstoppable in its prime, was not without flaws.
Kamui, an advanced space-time technique, allowed the user to transfer themselves or objects between real space and a personal dimension.
It granted intangibility for short bursts, ideal for dodging and countering. But its weakness was timing.
To absorb or release, the user had to become tangible. That brief window made them vulnerable. Worse still, activating Kamui consumed immense chakra and required full mental concentration.
In the original timeline, the Fourth Hokage had exploited that precise weakness to land a decisive blow. Even Konan, with her 600 billion explosive tags, managed to gravely injure Obito by timing the explosion just beyond his five-minute intangibility limit.
Obito only survived thanks to the forbidden technique, Izanagi.
Ultimately, Kamui was just a door. Powerful, but a door nonetheless. Once you understood the mechanics, you had to kick it open.
And George had done precisely that.
The reason George didn't take down Obito immediately and allowed him to activate Kamui was that George coveted the Kamui Dimension. He needed Obito to enter the Kamui Dimension so he could follow along voluntarily.
"You must have questions, but I'm not here for conversation. You're just a resource to be harvested." George finished speaking, then leaned down and extracted Obito's right eye with practised precision, as if collecting a key relic, not a human organ.
He placed it into the prepared cultivation tank before storing it in his space. Finally, George used Fiendfyre to eliminate Uchiha Obito.
When George emerged from the Kamui Dimension, he saw Terumi Mei kneeling over Yagura, examining something.
"Don't bother; he's still useful to me, so I've taken him for now. The Rain Ninja Village is yours to manage. At an appropriate time, I will inform you about the merger. Don't disappoint me, Terumi Mei." George moved to Yagura's side, absorbed him into his space, and then spoke.
"But..." Terumi Mei began, but seeing George's emotionless eyes, her words got stuck. She sensed that if she said one more word, something bad would happen.
The man before her was completely different from the charismatic Fire Daimyo she had once thought charming, even reckless; in an instant, he seemed to have become an entirely different person.
George dispelled the Mirror Dimension and then used Apparition to return to Rain Ninja Village.
In the Akatsuki Base hall, Konan was still recounting the changes that had occurred in Akatsuki during Yahiko's absence.
Seeing George suddenly appear, the three immediately stood up, bowed respectfully, and said, "Daimyo-sama!"
"Hmm, you three must have much more to say so that I won't disturb you further. I came to tell you to await my notification and be ready for the merger at any time," George said.
"Yes, Daimyo-sama," Nagato replied.
"Daimyo-sama?" Yahiko spoke up.
"What is it, Yahiko?"
"Thank you, Daimyo-sama!" After speaking, the three of them bowed deeply to George.
Upon standing up, Nagato placed his hand over his eyes and gouged out his Rinnegan.
"Nagato!" Konan and Yahiko exclaimed in unison.
"It's fine!" Nagato waved his other hand and extended the one holding the Rinnegan toward George. "Daimyo-sama, please take these evil eyes. Everything began with these eyes, so let this cursed legacy end with me. These eyes have seen too much blood to remain in my skull," he said as he extended both hands.
"You don't have to do this, Nagato," George replied, glancing at the determined Nagato. "Alright, if that's how it is, I'll accept them. However, not having eyes will significantly impact your strength and make movement more inconvenient. Here's another pair for you to use."
After speaking, George pulled out a pair of Sharingan from his space. These Sharingan were obtained from Danzo's laboratory and were initially intended for research in the main world.
However, Dr. Erskine had been busy modifying serum formulas, so they had remained untouched in George's space until now. Now seemed like a perfect time to put them to use.
What George admired most about the Naruto world was its unique rules, like how eyes can heal simply by being placed in the eye socket. It was miraculous in a strange, comic-book sort of way, and yet strangely practical here.
"These eyes are also Sharingan, and they have the potential to evolve in the future," George explained. "I'll teach you a few more Ninjutsu, so even if your strength decreases, the impact won't be too great."
After finishing, he turned to Konan and Yahiko. "I will also bestow this Sealing Technique upon both of you. You'll figure out how to use it yourselves."
"Konan, now that Nagato's strength has decreased, you'll need to put in more effort for Akatsuki. For now, maintain the status quo; I'll handle the long-term restructuring later," George instructed.
"Yes, My Lord," Konan replied.
George nodded, appreciating her calm competence.
"Alright, here are three smartwatches for you. Monday will teach you how to use them," he said, handing a watch to each of the three. Konan inspected hers silently; Yahiko smiled faintly. Nagato nodded.
"Thank you, My Lord."
"Well then, goodbye." With that, George returned directly to the Daimyo's mansion.
The communication satellite had been prepared by George long before he arrived in the Naruto world.
With no global intelligence agencies to counter him and little infrastructure interference, many Earth-side technologies could be deployed freely here.
This outing had accomplished more than planned. Obito was eliminated. Black Zetsu's manipulations were cut short; the Hidden Mist and Rain villages, two of the Five Great Shadows, were now operating under George's guidance.
The five strongest ninja villages in Naruto, Hidden Mist, Hidden Sand, Hidden Stone, Hidden Cloud, and Konoha, each represented one of the five great nations.
Their strength symbolised the strategic and military capability of those nations. George knew this better than anyone.
Over the next year, George significantly enhanced the combat capabilities of his subordinates.
One hundred thousand ordinary soldiers, initially useless in high-level ninja battles, were gradually promoted to Genin-level with tailored chakra implantations and micro-cultivation routines.
The original twenty thousand Konoha ninjas also saw improvements. Kakashi, for example, could now use his Sharingan freely, no longer limited to "one shot per crisis."
Of course, not everyone accepted these transformations. Traditionalists, such as Hiruzen Sarutobi and a few others, held fast to older methods. George didn't force them. Time would resolve their resistance or leave them behind.
As more ninjas formed direct bonds with him, both spiritually and energetically, George's energy reservoir expanded rapidly.
Sorting and stabilising that power took time. Often, he found himself meditating or entering a state of stasis for hours to regulate it.
Beyond strengthening his forces, George spent the year investigating how to subsume the Kamui Dimension completely.
While he could now enter and exit at will using a spatial imprint, that wasn't enough. Owning the dimension wasn't his goal; integrating it into his domain was.
A year later, in the gleaming corridors of the newly built Ninja City, a Five Kage Summit was convened, at Tsunade's insistence, but under George's control.
George's objective was simple: to display, without threat, the impossible scale of his progress.
The Land of Fire's national strength had soared. Industrial capacity, cultivation programs, medical efficiency, and border trade flourished. Under George's relentless economic pressure, the other four great nations had no choice but to feel the squeeze.
Tensions were flaring as Skirmishes broke out at multiple borders. Small events began to spiral into diplomatic headaches. It was clear: they had reached their limits of tolerance.
And George, well, he had planned for exactly this.
This was George's open conspiracy: to provoke dissatisfaction among the various parties.
At the meeting, in addition to the five great ninja villages, Nagato also attended, representing the Rain Village of the Ninja. However, it was clear from the start that the leaders of the other parties were visibly displeased.
Previous Kage Summits typically had a set number of attendees and a closely regulated format, but the Five Kage Summit convened by Tsunade had no such restrictions. Only upon arrival did the invited parties begin to understand why.
In the past, Konoha, as the strongest among the Five Great Ninja Villages, had maintained a force of 500 Jonin, 5,000 Chunin, and 20,000 Genin.
However, what the delegates witnessed upon entering the newly built Ninja City was simply beyond comprehension.
According to sensory ninjas' estimates, over 50,000 ninjas were stationed within the city itself. When accounting for the additional outer perimeter defences, that number easily doubled.
This meant Konoha alone now possessed a military force of over 100,000 ninjas, a force that had never been seen or even imagined in shinobi history. It was unprecedented.
Training and equipping such an army demanded enormous resources, both logistical and strategic. It was no wonder the other nations had long struggled to maintain even a fraction of that number.
The overwhelming show of strength left every foreign leader deeply uneasy. Any lingering thoughts of sabotage or defiance were quickly silenced.
With such a vast military under its command, Konoha clearly didn't care how many delegates each village brought to the meeting. The message was clear: this was not a negotiation, it was a declaration.
"First, I welcome all the leaders of the ninja villages who have gathered here for the Kage Summit," Tsunade said, seated confidently at the head of the long table.
"Let's skip the pleasantries, Lady Hokage. Please state the purpose of convening this Kage Summit," said the Fourth Raikage, his bulging frame and stern voice cutting through the room's tension.
The other Kage nodded in agreement, their eyes narrowing.
"Very well," Tsunade replied without hesitation. "I announce the meeting's main agenda: the merger of villages."
