Sebastian and Lucas made their way down the stairs, one after the other.
Gloria was busy helping Mira set the table with breakfast.
Hearing the two men coming down, Gloria turned her head, her eyes locking onto Lucas.
She could tell Lucas didn't have any ill will towards her; if anything, he seemed to feel a bit sorry for her.
She didn't have any unreasonable demands, just wanted to know how Elodie was doing.
Even a glance from Lucas would be enough.
Little did she know, Lucas had just been chewed out by Sebastian. Feeling Gloria's gaze, he was sweating bullets, trying to keep his eyes straight ahead as he walked down the stairs.
Once downstairs, Lucas was about to head for the door when Sebastian's voice stopped him. "Do you want to stay for breakfast?"
Lucas's heart skipped a beat. He glanced briefly in Gloria's direction before quickly declining. "No, thanks. I think I'll just grab some toast on my way back."
