Gloria was halfway down the hall when a maid called out to her. "Hey, where do you think you're going?
Didn't you see Ms. Jones just got here?
Everyone's busy, and you're just wandering around."
It was Esme Morris, the same maid who had questioned Gloria's identity with Mira the other day.
Gloria remembered her. Esme had been working at the Windsor Villa for over a year, having been introduced by a mutual acquaintance. The other maids seemed to avoid her, intentionally or not.
"Mira asked me to help in the kitchen today. I'm done now," Gloria explained, trying to avoid any trouble.
"I'll help clean up after Ms. Jones and Mr. Windsor finish eating. They don't need me right now."
