"You already have men following her. You're making it too obvious," Brian spoke from behind.
"She already knows," I replied and turned around.
"You should give her a little space to breathe. She's been here since you took her from her life in the city." He continued, following behind me.
"What do you think I did, Brian? Smart thinking."
"Yes, I can see that you let her go see her friend, but you look like you want to change your mind about her going. You're staring at her like you are going to stop her from going."
"I don't know if you thought through it yet, but she is a target to my enemies. As many of them who know about her will look to use her to get me. Ivy and her father have been silent. They surely are on the lookout, and they're going to take any opportunity they have."
Brian nodded thoughtfully
"Ohh…"
"Yeah, oh," I replied
"But for real, that's not all right? That's not the only reason why you look like this. You miss her." He teased.
