Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Broly and Vegeta

After securing the agreement with the Galactic King, the Saiyans of Planet Vegeta were officially inducted as a special force unit under the Galactic Patrol.

Within the month, several Saiyans who had hit a training plateau were dispatched to carry out peacekeeping missions—eliminating threats that the Galactic Patrol themselves couldn't handle.

Bardock was appointed as the commander of this force, taking full responsibility for communications and coordination with the Galactic Patrol.

Before leaving for Earth, Lynx specifically summoned Bardock to get an update on the peacekeeping unit.

"Your Majesty," Bardock reported, "we've completed three missions this month—all were carried out successfully. As you predicted, everyone who participated managed to break through their limits thanks to the intense combat."

"Any dissent among the ranks?" Lynx asked.

After all, Saiyans had always been conquerors, raiders, killers. Now they'd transformed into protectors of peace. Such a dramatic shift was bound to make some uncomfortable.

But Bardock's reply surprised him.

"There haven't been many complaints. For most of them, as long as there's a fight, they don't really care what it's for."

Lynx thought it over and realized it made sense.

The outside world always portrayed Saiyans as violent, battle-hungry beings—but not all of them were born evil.

During the Turles Rebellion, those with evil tendencies had already been eliminated by Lynx. The ones left were largely neutral or even kind-hearted by nature.

"Next time I visit the underworld," Lynx chuckled to himself, "maybe I should thank Turles."

Smiling faintly, he told Bardock:

"Alright. I'm leaving this in your hands. But remember—safety first on every mission. Our numbers are already low. We can't afford to lose Saiyan lives like in the past."

"Understood, Your Majesty. We'll take proper precautions."

Lynx nodded and dismissed Bardock.

Shortly after Bardock left, Hanasia arrived.

"Your Majesty, are you heading to Earth?"

"Yeah. Hanasia, while I'm gone, make sure you don't slack off. Of everyone who ate the Tree of Might's fruit, you're still the only one whose battle power hasn't broken 500,000."

Hanasia blushed.

"I know already~!"

After her first visit to Earth, Hanasia had been totally enchanted by the culture there. When she returned, she secretly brought back a computer loaded with Earth's TV dramas.

While everyone else was training… she had been binge-watching.

Having gotten scolded by Lynx before, she now tried to save face.

"Say… Your Majesty, you're not going to Earth for that Tights girl, are you?"

"What nonsense are you on about?"

"C'mon, just admit it. If you like her, just take her—make her your concubine or something. And that little sister of hers seems into you too. Once she grows up, she'll be a total beauty."

"Didn't you say hybrid children between Earthlings and Saiyans are born warriors? As the Saiyan King, shouldn't you set an example and give us a hybrid heir?"

Lynx was momentarily speechless.

"Fine… I'll think about it. But only if they agree."

Hanasia giggled.

"Oh, they will. We might be from different planets, but we're all women.I can tell what those two sisters are thinking just by looking at them."

Having handled both internal affairs and personal matters, Lynx was ready to depart.

But just as he was about to leave, someone else came to see him.

"Broly wants to see me?" Lynx raised a brow at Paragus.

"Yes, Your Majesty. Broly's been troubled lately. He… doesn't want to stay on Planet Vegeta anymore."

According to Paragus, Broly hadn't had much peace ever since returning to Saiyan society.

A number of young Saiyans had been challenging Broly non-stop.

While they were no match for him, they treated Broly as the ultimate sparring partner.

Every time he beat them within an inch of their lives, they'd be tossed into a healing pod—only to come back days later, demanding another rematch.

Since this did help them grow stronger, neither Bardock nor King Vegeta intervened.

But Broly… was getting fed up.

Life here was nothing like the peaceful days on Namek. With his naturally calm personality, Broly hated the noise and conflict. He had already complained to his father multiple times.

This time, Paragus—who, in this timeline, had not been exiled and thus lacked the original's twisted obsession—came out of genuine paternal concern.

"A Saiyan who doesn't fit into Saiyan society?"

Lynx gave it some thought.

"Alright. Let's go see him."

In the outskirts of the capital, nestled within a lush green hill, stood a lonely little house.

Unlike the standard angular Saiyan buildings, this one looked like it belonged on Planet Namek—and it was Broly's home.

Uncomfortable with the constant noise and rivalry, Broly had chosen to live in solitude not long after returning. He rarely visited the capital unless summoned by Lynx himself.

But today, two young Saiyans stood outside his door.

"Hey! Broly! Get out here! One more match! I'll show you I'm second only to King Lynx himself!"

"Vegeta, let's go back… You've already lost four times…"

"Raditz, you can go if you want!I need to settle this with Broly once and for all! Stop pretending not to hear, Broly—I know you're in there!"

"If you don't come out… I'll destroy this place!"

With that, the child version of Vegeta raised his hands—gathering energy for a real attack.

Just then, the door finally creaked open, and Broly stepped outside.

"Vegeta, I don't want to fight you. Whether you're the second strongest, or the strongest… it has nothing to do with me. Just… stop disturbing my life."

"How can I?! Among the younger generation, you're the only one I can't beat! If I can't surpass you, how will I ever surpass King Lynx?! Broly—come on! Fight me!"
