Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Choice of the Future — The Saiyan Empire!

"Host, would you like to immediately fuse with the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline?"

After reverting from Great Ape back to human form, Lynx once again heard the voice of the system in his mind.

"System, are there any side effects from fusing the bloodline?" Lynx asked.

"The Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline grants a constitution that grows stronger when facing stronger opponents. The more severe your injuries, the more powerful you become. However, to gain this power, your body must be modified."

"How long will the modification take?"

"Five years."

Five years?! Stunned, Lynx didn't answer right away. He turned around to look behind him.

The battle was over, and the other Saiyans had returned to their normal forms. Staring at the space where Frieza's ship had once been, they erupted into joyous cheers.

"We killed the tyrant!"

"Saiyans are invincible!"

"Long live King Lynx!"

Although many had doubted the plan to attack Frieza at first, once the tyrant had truly been destroyed, the Saiyan pride buried in their bones exploded in full force.

But while they celebrated wildly, Lynx knew better—it was far too soon to relax.

Frieza may have been temporarily eliminated, and Planet Vegeta spared from destruction…But was Frieza truly dead?

Knowing the original Dragon Ball story, Lynx understood the terrifying vitality of the Frost Demon race.

They weren't regenerative like Namekians, but even if blown to pieces, they could potentially be resurrected.

And even if Frieza were truly gone, there was still his father, King Cold, and an even more mysterious older brother, Cooler.

Any of them could one day come seeking vengeance.

Lynx had to prepare—otherwise, five years later, he might awaken from his slumber only to find Planet Vegeta reduced to ashes.

So—

"System, delay the fusion. I'll give the command when ready."

"Understood…"

As the system acknowledged his decision, a new alert popped up:

DING!Crisis awareness detected. Triggering Ultimate Choice.

Choice 1: Abandon Planet Vegeta. Become a wandering Saiyan.Reward: Title – "Lone King of the Saiyans." Effect: +1,000,000 Power Level.

Choice 2: Time-limited hunt of the Frost Demon Clan.Reward: A Frost Demon clan member becomes your servant.

Choice 3: Protect Planet Vegeta. Establish a Saiyan Empire.Reward: Instant Transmission (Shin-style, from Kibito Kai).

Warning: Rewards will be delivered immediately, but failure to follow through will result in erasure!

The last choice had just ended, and now a new choice arrived.

Lynx considered the three options.

The first—abandoning Planet Vegeta for a mere 1,000,000 power boost—he dismissed immediately. Once he fused with the legendary bloodline, he could easily surpass that.

The second seemed tempting—gaining a powerful Frost Demon servant—but it came with a trap.

"Time-limited" wasn't defined. What if it only gave him five years? Then he'd wake from bloodline fusion and be out of time.

But if he delayed fusing the bloodline to do the hunt, how could he possibly stand a chance?

It was too risky.

So he made his decision:

"System, I choose Option 3!"

DING!Congratulations. Reward delivered. From this moment forward, protect Planet Vegeta. If it is destroyed, you will be erased.

As soon as Lynx confirmed his choice, knowledge of Instant Transmission flooded into his mind.

This was the Kibito Kai version of Instant Transmission, different from Goku's. It allowed movement anywhere across the universe, without needing to sense ki—but it couldn't teleport directly to people.

In other words, Lynx could now instantly travel between planets, including returning to Namek in the blink of an eye—no more time wasted in space travel.

Now, it was time to prepare for the fusion of the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline.

Five years.

He needed to ensure Planet Vegeta's security during that time—so that when he awakened, the Saiyan race would still exist.

Later – Planet Vegeta, Royal Palace

Outside, the victorious Saiyans were feasting and celebrating, indulging in their favorite meats and wines.

Inside, the true mastermind behind their victory, Lynx, was meeting privately with three key Saiyans:

King Vegeta, Bardock, and Paragus.

Since he was about to disappear for five years, Lynx had already devised a plan—but planning alone wasn't enough. He needed reliable executors.

The Saiyan race, truthfully, was a chaotic and arrogant race.

Although they weren't the strongest race in the universe by average power level, they had a warrior culture, a thirst for battle, and a knack for stirring up trouble.

Five years. Lynx could keep outside threats away—but could he keep the Saiyans from imploding?

That's where King Vegeta and Bardock came in.

King Vegeta had respect and authority, while Bardock possessed something rare among Saiyans: level-headed judgment, a touch of humanity, and even the ability to foresee the future, granted by the Kanassan race.

Together, they could suppress the ambitions and hot tempers of the Saiyan people.

As for Paragus…

He wasn't particularly capable himself. But his son, Broly, was a ticking time bomb hidden within Planet Vegeta.

At just one year old, Broly already had a power level of 10,000. In five years, he could become monstrously powerful—or dangerously unstable. If left unchecked, he might even destroy Planet Vegeta himself.

So Lynx decided to relocate Broly, letting him grow up peacefully somewhere else.

According to Lynx's memory of the story, Broly—if not provoked—was actually a kind-hearted child, loyal and friendly, much like Goku.

He was never suited to live among the violent and warlike Saiyans. He'd be better off with a more peaceful race.

To manage this, Lynx granted Paragus a seat on the Saiyan High Command, just below King Vegeta and Bardock. With that, he secured full control over Broly's future.

As for Paragus himself—he suspected nothing.

After all, without Lynx, both he and Broly would've been exiled or even executed by King Vegeta long ago.
