Chapter Sixty: The Weight of Blood
"I can't believe it…he was behind it all…" Reign muttered.
"He knew about Charlotte and Caleb, and he threatened them to give them their money since my mom lost control of them."
"Laura is a cold woman that deserves to rot in jail her whole life…"
The cold night air still clung to Isabelle's skin as they left the warehouse.
Her wrists were raw from the ropes, and her face ached from where Maxx's men had hit her.

Reign was just near her, his hand resting on the open door like he didn't want to step too far away.
But when Violet returned, her eyes caught Isabelle's. "Belle… you said something earlier, before the officers untied you."
Isabelle's throat felt tight. "Simon's body," she said softly. "He's inside. Near the corner of the warehouse. Maxx… he killed him."
