Mahira's pulse was very weak and it seemed like they were going to loose her anytime soon. Back in the hospital the doctor told Kaashvi that Mahira's state was critical and it was uncertain if she would recover. Thane was coecidentally in the hospital and heard that Mahira was admitted to the hospital. He spots Kaashvi and she looked stressed so he approached her.
Thane " Hey Kaashvi, what happened to Mahira? I just saw her a while ago, unless I was hallucinating. I was drunk though I am not sure. But if she really was there, I remember my girlfriend Ariana said she just wanted to check on me. I was drunk but im pretty sure she was healthy and alive.
Kaashvi processed Thane's word's and questioned him.
Kaashvi"what did you do to her?"
Thane responded casually
"Same old story. Ariana told me that she came to confess her love again. I told your friend multiple times that I am not interested in her but she just doesn't get it does she? She keeps forcing thing's. I suggest you help her move on because I can't love her. I actually pity her. Find someone else for her, I'm getting married soon."
Kaashvi looses her temper. She didn't want to loose her best friend just because of someone who didn't value her. Mahira had always been there for her, helping her and encouraging her with her dreams despite her's not being fulfilled. Thane just made her angry. She dragged Thane to Mahira's ICU room and stand's there pointing at Mahira who was on the hospital bed.
" Do you see her darn it? She... she's fighting for her life all because of you and your fuckin selfishness. You son of a bitch. How dare you? My Mahira,my only best friend is on a hospital bed fighting for her life and u..."
Kaashvi was panting and gasping for breath. Her face was soaked in tear's as she kept pointing at Mahira who was lying there unconscious. Thane's presence only fueled her anger because he was the reason for her condition.
"You know what? I regret the day I allowed her to fall deeper for you and pursue you. You are right. I should've told her to get someone else because you are just piece of bullshit. Mark my words the day she finds joy, you will regret ever losing such a gem of a person just for stone's."
The doctor interrupts and tells them to keep it down. Kaashvi orders Thane to leave.
Thane's POV
Kaashvi had scolded me as if I had killed her best friend. I just didn't like the way Mahira made me feel. She made me feel uncomfortable in high school. She stalked me and sent countless gifts without my permission. Mahira was really sweet and nice but i just couldn't reciprocate her feelings. I told her multiple times to stay away from me and move on because I just didn't feel the same way. She even sent gifts to my sister and that was creepy because it seemed physcho and obsessive. It made me insecure and as if she was dangerous for my little sister.
