THANE'S POV
My little sister just reprimanded me for that girl who I disliked. When Elena told me that she would love and take care of her fairy godmother I didn't take it that serious. Elena had always wanted to meet Mahira. I don't understand how my sister could love someone so much. I remember Mahira had told me the same thing. Mahira had claimed to love Elena truly. I thought it was obsession. I always pitied that girl you know. I don't understand why but that woman just makes me smile and my heart aches when she's in pain. My emotions are just fucked up you know. But it's not love. I can't fall in love with her. I don't like her, do I?
End of Thane's POV
Elena helped Mahira rest on her bed.
" Fairy, please lie down. You are not doing well. Now that I'm here, I will take care of you okay."
Elena's voice was sweet and melodious. Mahira looked at the familiar child but her vision was blurry.
" Why are you calling me....why....why are you.... calling.... calling.... calling me fairy?"
Elena wanted to cry looking at the woman's state. Mahira's phone started ringing. Elena took it out and answered the call.
"Hello."
It was Kaashvi who had called and she was furious.
"Mahira, did I leave you in America for you to misbehave huh? Why did you go to Thane's wedding? How could you do that? You used $20 000 just so you can attend Thane's wedding dressed up like a fuckin bride. I gave you my card so that you could go to London not so that you can...."
Kaashvi's word's where cut short by Elena
" Im sorry madam, it's Elena speaking not Mahira. Actually.....uhm..... Mahira is not in her senses, she just fell asleep a few minutes ago."
Kaashvi immediately hung up.
Elena watched the beautiful woman sleeping until she fell asleep on her chest. Ms Sofia Carson ( Thane's mother) found Elena sleeping with Mahira. All of Mahira's jewelry was set aside on the desk cupboard next to Elena's bed. She recognized Mahira as Thane's obsessive love sick girl. The next morning, Elena woke up very early due to hunger. She spent the night busy looking after Mahira that she forgot to eat. Elena descended the stairs,her bare feet making soft creaks on the step's. Elena entered the kitchen, carrying a tray with breakfast she went back to the room. Mahira, now awake and aware,sat on the bed her eyes cast down. Mahira's memories of the previous night flooded back, along with shame and regret.
" Elena..."
Mahira whispered, with tears in her eyes and disbelief. Elena set the tray down and hugged Mahira tightly.
" Don't worry fairy. You didn't do anything wrong, I wouldn't allow you to he humiliated like that."
A bond formed
" Im sorry Elena. I don't know what happened. I would never try to humiliate your brother and taint his reputation."
Elena" Ariana did something to you,im sure of it. She must've drugged you or spiked your drink."
Mahira"Why don't you hate me? Why did you take care of me and why aren't you angry at me? I nearly ruined your brothers reputation."
Elena" You are special to me fairy. Im not like my brother. I finally found you. Now im going to keep you by my side forever. I'll be your shield, your protector, your support system. I love you so much fairy and I will always take care of you."
Mahira" Im sorry Elena. I embarrassed... myself and you fought with your brother because of me... and you."
Elena " You didn't Mahira. I would never blame you. I trust you. Ariana's to blame, she's cruel."
Mahira spoke tearfully" I humiliated Thane... I... I... said so many things...he must...be hurt because of me and...."
Elena" You love him fairy. That's nothing to be ashamed of. In fact he should be ashamed of himself. He's being such a bum chick."
Mahira" You trust me? You even understand but how. You...im sure you have only heard ill things about me...so how . You are just seven years old. You can be easily manipulated and convinced....so...how."
