By the time Kendrick and Griffin arrived the next morning to escort her home, Hiraya was already in high spirits.
She didn't make any fuss as Kendrick lifted her carefully from the bed and transferred her to a wheelchair.
For some weird reason, she leaned closer and breathed in his blend of wood and spicy musk cologne, which tickled her senses, causing her to sneeze.
"Someone is missing you."
Kendrick and Griffin both chorused. And all three burst out laughing.
Hiraya couldn't agree more with their innocent statement.
Indeed, someone was missing her, or was she the one missing him after that tender kiss they shared last night?
"Mummy, are you alright?" Griffin carefully placed her leg on the wheelchair footrest while holding her affectionate gaze.
"Of course baby. Why do you ask?"
"Because your cheeks are glowing like a blooming red rose petal."
