"Before you die?"
Luzon's eyes widened as he echoed her words. He stepped on the brakes and swerved the car to the side of the road, halting by the curb.
"Yes..." Natasha's cracked voice was barely above a murmur.
"Come on, baby" Luzon turned to face her, his voice tender and his chest tightening with guilt. "Don't talk about death. You're not going to die. You are just in so much pain and I'm taking you to the hospital."
Natasha slowly tilted her head sideways, revealing her scared face, Her gaze was filled with agony, hatred and something more toxic than anger. "You did this."
Luzon stiffened at her words and the hatred in her darkened eyes.
"B....but I had no choice. I wasn't going to let any of those bastards touch you again. It was either me or them."
Natasha smiled bitterly, turning her blank gaze back to the windshield. "Of course. You made the ultimate sacrifice. You drove down the last nail into my bleeding heart. Now, take me to your wife and end my misery."
