Kendrick arrived at the Hamilton Five-Star hotel a few minutes before 7:00 PM, in one of his exotic sports cars.
His heart was pounding erratically in his chest as he pulled over at the exact same spot where he had parked five years ago.
Ever since that almost tragic incident, he hadn't been to this hotel for good measure.
But tonight, he was about to confront his demons while meeting the mother of his child.
Turning the engine off, his gaze drifted to the gleaming glass door of the hotel as crippling memories from the past flashed across his mind.
He recalled walking through that door, speaking with his father over the phone, and walking towards the car when she fell from the sky like a wingless angel–fragile, bruised and broken.
He blinked back the horror, shaking the weird feeling crawling up his spine as he took in one last deep breath and stepped out of the car.
He paused briefly by the car, slowly lifting his head up, his heart pounding even more loudly.
