🕯️ Prologue: Only One Version Remains
Sarah was gone.
Not just from the rooftop. Not just from the timeline. But from every world Kentarō searched.
He had jumped across thirty-seven variant loops in the last seventy-two hours.None had her.
And then… Mira reappeared.
🌌 Scene 1: Under a Dying Star
The sky above Chronos's dimensional edge was different now — streaked with red auroras and cracking with faint thunder. Kentarō stood on unstable ground, the last coordinates Reika had risked her sanity to recover.
Then, she emerged.
Mira.
Hair longer. Skin paler. Wearing the old robes of the Watchers — but with the insignia broken.
"You shouldn't have come here," she said, her voice echoing like a memory unspooling.
Kentarō's fists clenched.
"Then send me to the version where she exists."
"You already did. That version cost the stability of Timeline 107."
"Then help me fix it."
Mira stepped forward, eyes heavy.
"You want to fix love by controlling time. That's not saving her. That's repeating your trauma."
🧠 Scene 2: The Archive of Regret
She took him into the Fractured Archive — a vault of dead timelines, loop remains, and discarded world lines.Inside one crystal, he saw Sarah with a different version of him — Kentarō-44, bleeding out in her arms.
In another, he saw Daichi never redeemed. In one, Yūto killed himself after remembering too much.
Mira placed a flickering memory crystal in his palm.
"There is one last loop. One forbidden world line."
"1365625."
Kentarō looked up.
"That number… it's been appearing everywhere since Volume 1…"
"Because it's you. It's the count of every world you've altered."
⚠️ Scene 3: The Warning
Mira's voice turned grave.
"If you step into 1365625, there's no coming back.No rewinds. No alternate selves. No more Watchers."
"You'll get one version of her. One version of you. But if it breaks—"
"It breaks forever."
"And… you'll forget everything."
Kentarō asked her the one question he'd been afraid of:
"Will she remember me?"
Mira hesitated.
Then:
"Only if she chooses to love you again.Without fate.Without loops.Just… from the start."
🔚 Final Line
Kentarō looked down at the memory crystal, glowing faintly with Sarah's voice echoing through the glass:
"You're my miracle, Kentarō."
He closed his hand over it.
"Then let me fight for the version that's real."
And stepped into the forbidden world.
