Maya's POV
Maya pressed Emma behind her as the Sterling pack house burst into chaos.
Victoria's fighters lunged forward while Kai's loyal members fought back. The sound of growling and crashing furniture filled the air. Maya's heart pounded as she understood this wasn't just an argument anymore - this was war.
"Get Emma out of here!" Kai yelled over the noise, but Maya shook her head.
"I'm not running again," she said definitely. "We stand together or we fall together."
A Cross pack fighter charged toward them, but Elder Marcus Sterling stepped in front of Maya and Emma. Even though he was old, the previous Alpha still had strong wolf reflexes. He knocked the attacker down with one strong hit.
"Luna Maya," Marcus said without taking his eyes off the battle. "What are your orders?"
