Alpha Kaelith didn't show up all day. Even after my little monologue in the morning, I still looked forward to seeing him during lunch but he didn't come home. And then I looked forward to seeing him during dinner but he didn't come either.
For some reason, that bothered me a lot and I tried to distract myself by helping with anything I could today and it worked for a while but now that I'm laying on my bed in the dark, I found my mind drifting.
I tossed and turned— something I've been doing for the past 2hours, trying to get some sleep but to no avail. I side eyed Mara who laid on the bed across me, small snore coming out of her slightly opened mouth. Wow, she's sure sleeping so well for someone who was scared and anxious all day.
She's probably praying for the Alpha to never return back to the house , contrary to me. Ughhh, I'm such an horrible friend.
