Licht thought, Being flashy isn't my thing… but here we go.
"Light Magic: Holy Angel's Descent!"
He crashed into Point Alpha, creating a crater in the ground that led straight into the cave of the beast. After the crash, Licht stood and shouted,
"Hey, freakshow! I'm here to take you down once and for all!"
The creature growled, "Ohh... a human enters my domain? How interesting. I've been quite famished. Demons are okay, but humans… humans taste delicious."
Licht replied, "After I'm done with you, they'll be scraping you off the floor."
The demon rose—its upper body monstrous and demonic, while its lower half was that of a massive snake.
"I am Nyrex," it hissed. "Scale Strike!"
Licht countered, "Light Magic: Piercing Light Slash!"
Blades of light slashed across the chamber, striking true.
"Toxic Pierce!" the demon roared.
"Light Magic: Beyond the Dawn Slash!" Licht called out, slicing through the poison.
"Wall of Water!" Nyrex summoned, shielding himself.
When the attack ended, the demon was unharmed—but Licht coughed up blood.
"What...?" Licht muttered.
Nyrex grinned. "I am Nyrex. It's been a while since someone dared challenge me. In the past 20 years, more than 70 knights have come to kill me. Each time, I consumed them... and moved on. You won't be an exception."
Licht thought, Long-range attacks aren't working... I have to try something else.
"Poison Sludge!" Nyrex yelled, spitting a corrosive substance toward him.
Licht reacted, "Pierce!"
"Light Magic: Piercing Light Slash!"
"Wall of Water!" Nyrex repeated.
"That won't work twice!" Licht snapped, as his light magic struck the water—
—and the entire cave exploded.
Licht was knocked back, coughing violently.
"What the hell is going on?! Why did the air explode? Why am I coughing up blood? I can feel it… it's making me numb. I have to end this—now."
"For a freakshow, you're pretty strong... but time to end this."
"By the blade of dawn and judgment's glare, let shadows shatter in searing flare!"
"O light divine, pierce through the veil—let no evil stand, let no darkness prevail!"
"Light Magic: Piercing Light's Strike!"
"Wall of Steel!" Nyrex shouted.
Licht said, "What now—metal? How many attributes does this thing have?!"
His surge of light pierced through the steel and slashed Nyrex across the torso.
"Take that!"
Nyrex stood back up.
"I'm going to kill you," he said.
Licht's eyes widened. "How did it survive that?!"
"Sludge Strike!"
"No choice..." Licht muttered. "I've got to use it now!
Light Magic: Greatest Sun!"
The two clashed—Nyrex's sludge and Licht's blazing sun. Licht was thrown back.
"Is that all, knight?" Nyrex sneered. "I thought you were going to kill me."
"I will do that... no matter what," Licht gritted his teeth.
What now? All my attacks are ineffective. I only have one choice left. I have to try my divinity...
Father said it was unstable... but holding back isn't an option anymore.
"Light Magic: Brilliance of Dawn!"
His body began to glow in the dark cave, radiant and divine. The holy light began to sear the demon's flesh.
"Hey, freakshow—take this!" Licht yelled, throwing a bottle of holy water.
The demon shrieked in agony.
"Now!
Brilliance of Dawn—Light Magic: Piercing Strike!"
"I won't die to a knight!" Nyrex roared.
"Metallic Sludge Strike!"
As their attacks collided, Licht shouted,
"No matter what… no matter how dark the night may be… the dawn will rise! Because of people like me—
The night that you are… will be driven away!"
"Blazing Light!"
The attack struck true—Nyrex was engulfed and turned to dust. Only his heart remained.
Licht, exhausted, said, "Well... that took a lot."
Suddenly, laughter echoed through the chamber.
Licht turned. "What now...?"
Then, from behind, a hand impaled him through the chest.
"How...? How many different kinds of magic does this thing have?!"
From the heart, Nyrex regenerated.
"We demons of the Underworld can't be killed unless our hearts are destroyed," he said. "You had your chance to kill me… but you failed."
"And you were asking how many attributes I have?" Nyrex grinned darkly.
"It's just one—arsenic."
Licht gasped, "What the hell...?" and collapsed.
Nyrex looked at him and muttered,
"I'll eat this one later... after the main course. The two new girls will satisfy me nicely."
From the ground, Licht remained still, but thoughts swirled in his fading consciousness.
I have to do something... I can't let it kill Alysa and Elizabeth... She's too strong for Liebe...
I have to... do something...
But in this state... what can I do...?
