Meanwhile, in the Faust Mansion, Liebe had fallen asleep, though his tears wouldn't stop flowing.
As he drifted off, he softly muttered,
"Grandpa..."
A few minutes earlier, at the eastern border, Lilith saw a small Sacred Freedom unit—fifty soldiers marching toward them, and at the center, a pole bearing a crucified figure.
Her heart dropped.
"No... Father!" she cried.
Recognizing Domr, Lilith's sorrow turned to fury. With tears in her eyes, she screamed,
"Father! In my honor and word as a knight—you will be avenged! They will beg in tears of blood!"
She raised her hand.
"Now... summon Holy Relic—Oculus of Dominance! Void Magic: Abyssal Gate: Absolute Destruction!"
A massive gate formed behind her, its dark energy twisting space itself. As it opened, it created a powerful vacuum that began sucking everything toward it.
Out of the fifty enemies, those who couldn't fly were dragged in and turned to dust.
The ones who tried to escape by flying weren't spared either.
Lilith snarled,
"None of you will escape my wrath!"
Golden chains, etched with ancient runes, emerged from the gate, wrapping around the airborne soldiers and dragging them into the abyss. All were disintegrated, turned to dust in an instant.
Sujibur, witnessing it all, stood frozen.
"What power…" he muttered.
"Killing an elite squad of fifty in a single attack—it's brutal... and beautiful at the same time."
Lilith rushed to the pole, frantically untying Domr's body.
"Father… why? Why did you leave me… and Liebe?" she sobbed.
"There was still so much we had to do. You wanted to see Liebe grow up… to become a knight. Someone we could be proud of..."
Domr's eyes slowly opened.
"I wish… I could have seen it," he whispered,
"but it's a future I'm not destined to witness. But bear this in your heart, Lilith—
I will always be watching over you, my beloved daughter."
With trembling hands, he used his blood to draw a magic circle on the ground.
"Father, please! Don't move! We can still save you!" Lilith pleaded.
Domr shook his head.
"No… you can't."
He continued drawing the circle, his blood flowing into each symbol.
"This will be… the last spell I ever cast."
He thought to himself: And it's for you, Liebe—my proud grandson. A spell that requires all of my life force.
Domr raised his hand and chanted,
"Forbidden Magic. Dark Magic… Benedictio Infinita Dei Obscuri!"
(The Infinite Blessing of the Dark God)
The crimson magic circle turned black and pulsed once, then vanished into the air.
Domr exhaled, a soft smile on his face.
"I have fulfilled my duty to the future… Goodbye, my dear daughter…"
And with that, he passed away.
Lilith clutched his lifeless body, sobbing,
"No… Father, please… Don't leave me!"
Sujibur walked over and gently said,
"Ma'am… he is no longer with us."
