Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Triggering his Physique

"I cease to believe." Malik gritted his teeth as he was adamant about his choice. This is the path he had stumbled on before and had placed him at an advantage over others. How can the path be an abandoned one?

"Why would I lie to you, Realm Crosser?"

"See for yourself. Unlike the other classes, the class you chose has no light, which means it has no followers—unlike the Class of the Holy Warrior with the highest light," Angel Micheal explained.

"God's Realm is a place where everyone fights for opportunities, where everyone seeks to become a God. You can't achieve this with the Cultivator class," Angel Micheal continued.

"That's true," Malik mused.

'The Cultivator class indeed has no light and has almost faded. But why do I still want to choose it?' Malik couldn't help but ask himself as he folded his fists. 'Is it because of Qing'er's heart that granted me a path of cultivation, which allowed me to become stronger than my peers? If I should abandon this class too, doesn't that mean giving up on Qing'er?'

'No... I can't abandon this class. I have to trust in my physique—the Primordial Chaos Physique that was granted to me by Qing'er's heart. If the Main God System couldn't format the Eyes of Insight, then definitely my physique must still be there. I have to gamble on this.' Malik finalized his thoughts as his hand wandered to the Cultivator class. Just as he was about to click it, he heard the Angel's voice again.

"Realm Crosser, are you sure about this decision? You're wasting an opportunity granted to you by the Main God System—an opportunity that hasn't been granted to any other individual."

"Although cultivating is the key to Ascension, in this Lower Realm it's useless," Angel Micheal blurted out—not concerned about Malik, but about the fact that he was about to waste a lifetime opportunity.

"Cultivation is the key to Ascension. That phrase means a lot, and it makes me want to officially walk through this path," Malik replied.

"No player will give you the luxury of sitting in one position and cultivating while others are clearing dungeons, breaking through tiers, and gaining legacies. You don't understand, Realm Crosser. This class is an abandoned one because it's worthless."

The melodious voice of Angel Micheal sounded like a bleeding drum in Malik's ears as he gritted his teeth.

'In the Western Region, I accidentally stumbled on this path and the system merely adapted to it. The Cultivation class was a subclass and it improved my overall strength due to my physique. Now that the class is before me... I have to gamble on my physique.'

Malik's mind was already made up as he clicked on the Cultivator button. It loaded for some seconds before a prompt appeared before him.

> [Are you sure you want to choose this class?]

[Y/N]

"Yes."

> [Congratulations. You've chosen the Abandoned Class 'Cultivator']

[A Cultivation Art will be passed to you]

"Realm Crosser. You indeed chose this path despite all my warnings," Angel Micheal gazed at Malik with contempt on her face. She hadn't expected this from a man who could break through realms.

Malik stared back, not knowing what to say. Despite his enhanced senses, he couldn't see Angel Micheal's face clearly.

"In a world where everyone levels up, explores ruins, ranks up, and obtains God's Legacy—do you have the luxury to sit in one position and cultivate?"

"It seems you don't know the true purpose of God's Realm. Everyone wants to be the strongest. Everyone wants to be at the top. How can you be the strongest when you can only get strong by absorbing the energies from the world?"

"While you're in a quiet position, cultivating and absorbing energy... the rest keep getting stronger. They keep leveling up while you struggle to break through realms."

"The path of cultivation is very long and arduous, but God's Realm is where one has to race against time. Do you know how many years it takes a Cultivator to break through to the Immortal Realm?"

"I thought the Realm Crosser would be an interesting individual… I never knew you wouldn't amount to much, or I wouldn't have bothered to descend to the Lower Realms," Angel Micheal said as she flipped her sword and a torn piece of paper appeared in Malik's hand.

"That's the only cultivation art available…"

"Tsk... such a waste of time." Angel Micheal cast another look at Malik and in less than a second, vanished from his presence as if she was never there.

"Did I just piss off an Angel?" Malik asked with a weird smile on his face. "And why does she keep calling me the Realm Crosser?"

"There was no fluctuation in her voice. Everything she said is true. The Xuanxia novels I've been reading—cultivating takes thousands of years."

"I'm a human. I don't even think I'll live up to a hundred years, let alone thousands."

"Before, I could break through with the use of monster cores, but I don't think that's possible now, because my status page has also undergone a change."

> [Status]

Name - Unconfirmed

Class - Cultivator

Realm - Apprentice

Stage - 0 [0/100]

"There's nothing like levels… no XP... Angel Micheal is actually right. Hope I'm not fucked?" Malik's body trembled as his gaze averted to the cultivation art in his hand. 'Let's see what you got in store for me.'

> [Congratulations. You've learned the Apprentice Dao Scripture]

"So fast... The Eyes of Insight is truly a lifesaver," Malik exclaimed in joy. If it wasn't for the Eyes of Insight, learning the cultivation art would've taken him a lot of time. Maybe he'd have needed to reach the starting village first before he could learn it.

> [Apprentice Dao Scripture - Grade F]

Description: Enables user to absorb Qi from the surroundings when in a non-combat position. 0.05 Qi when in a non-combat state per 5 seconds, and 0.5 Qi at 5 seconds when sitting in a Lotus position.

"Bloody hell." The smile on Malik's face disappeared instantly. 'A Grade F, huh? This is trash. And it's not just that—I can only cultivate when in a non-combat state.'

"0.5 Qi per 5 seconds... that's 0.1 Qi per second. It'll take me weeks—if not months—to break through to the first stage."

"Weeks. An average player can level up 30 times within weeks. So this is what Angel Micheal was talking about. I'm really fucked."

Malik's entire body trembled as the torn piece of paper burned into ashes in his hand. He had already learned the art, so there was no use for the paper. His heart was beating loudly, as if expecting a miracle to happen. He looked around, as if expecting Angel Micheal to show up, scold him for not believing her, then give him another opportunity to choose a new class.

But alas, nothing happened.

'An Abandoned class. It's really an abandoned class. I thought I knew it all. I thought with my knowledge of the Western Region, I could rank up quickly. How come I ended up with trash? Main God System...' Malik nearly cried out as he placed his hand over his head.

'There's nothing to be done. I have to accept my fate as it is.'

Smiling bitterly to himself, Malik stepped forward towards the golden door that led to God's Realm. He had been at this starting point before, so he knew where to go. Just as his hand was about to touch the door, he felt a sharp pain surging through his heart, and he unknowingly took some steps back while clenching his chest.

> [Primordial Chaos Physique has been triggered]

[Apprentice Dao Scripture has been successfully refined to the Infinite Chaos Scripture]

[Apprentice Dao Scripture - Grade F → Infinite Chaos Scripture - Grade A]

Description: Enables you to absorb Qi from the surroundings both in a combat state and non-combat state. The amount of Qi absorbed depends on how chaotic the surrounding is.

> Passive — Enables you to earn cultivation points for every monster slain. The amount of cultivation points earned depends on the grade of the monster, the species, and the age of the monster.

"Father of Heavens. It's there… my Primordial Chaos Physique is there…" Malik leapt for joy.

"To think I was afraid at first… Foolish me. It's time to reign chaos upon the Northern Region."

"Angel Micheal… just you wait. I'll show you the true meaning of Malik. I'll show you that Malik means Monarch."

Malik declared as he placed his hands on the golden door.

> [Error. User must choose a codename]

"Oh, I totally forgot about that," Malik mused as a keyboard appeared before him.

"ManLikeMalik." Malik called out the name he used in the Western Region.

> [Name Unavailable]

"What? Is the Main God System fucking with me or what? How can the name I once used be unavailable?"

Malik pressed the confirm button again, but it was still the same thing. He cleared the name and input another.

"PrimordialChaosGod"

> [Name Unavailable]

"GodlyMonarch"

> [Taken]

"HolyDevil"

> [Error]

"SoulFlame"

> [Taken]

"BlackFlame"

> [Taken]

"Shit... If there's anything I want to do now... it's to murder this system."

> [You've successfully chosen the name CrimsonFlame]

[Enter through the golden door and you'll be teleported to any random Starting Point]

"CrimsonFlame… What a name? It doesn't sound godly at all." Malik almost cried out as he passed through the golden door, and his journey in the Northern Region officially began.
