One week after celebrating the New Year, the entire Class 1-A suddenly found themselves shivering.
Not only because of the cold, but because of the sheer scale of the Private Airport they were looking at.
Then, together, they eyed Luke, who was standing among them.
Luke, blushing a little, scratched his head.
Today, when they reached the School, Erasure Head told them that they would be going for the Hero Site Visit.
The words had come out of nowhere, and no one was expecting it.
Still, as everyone had already grown bored waiting for it, none complained when it was finally happening.
Surprisingly, when asked about the location, Erasure Head told him that even he didn't know yet.
Only one thing was sure to him — they were going overseas.
So, when the school bus didn't take them to Tokyo International Airport, all the students were puzzled.
And that puzzlement turned into disbelief when the bus instead took them to a Private Airport, with many jets lining in the distance.
The reason they were looking at Luke because, on every jet, Saionji Group was written in bold letters.
"Do you know where we are going?" Momo asked.
Luke hurriedly shook his head. "I have no idea. Father didn't say anything."
Wherever they were going, it was being kept secret from even Pros at UA, especially now that the rumor of a Traitor being at School was all but confirmed.
Momo nodded at Luke and returned to Kyoka, the latter giggling for some reason.
Dressed in school uniforms and only packing their Hero Costumes, everyone waited patiently as the Airport staff brought refreshments.
Suddenly, another female staff member approached, a robot-controlled platform rolling behind her.
The platform held many suitcases, each having a name on it. When it came closer, the students realized it was their names!
"Courtesy of Saionji Group," the staff said, smiling at them. "It has fresh sets of dresses for 3 days, along with other necessary items. Feel free to go through them as All Might arrives."
This was the first time they were hearing that All Might would be going with them.
Hurriedly, everyone took their suitcases and began going through them, their eyes going wide by the second.
"Whoa…" Kaminari took out a watch. "… This is… How much is it?"
The female staff member just smiled gently in response.
Mineta eyed a well-tailored black suit in his suitcase, his jaw hanging low. "Can we…"
"Of course," the staff member said. "Consider this a gift. When you return, you are free to keep all the included items."
Bakugo tsked as he held a shirt. "Oi, Fanboy!" he shouted. "Why does your father know my size?!"
Momo and Todoroki had already been wondering the same questions.
But, given their family background, it hadn't come as a surprise to them.
Saionji Group had its hands on most of the organizations in and out of Japan.
Just finding out measurements of mere school children was even less shocking than owning well over a dozen private jets in Tokyo alone.
As the female staff member licked her lips, finding Bakugo's constant angry demands unnerving, a majestic laugh filled the hall.
"Hahaha! What a wonderful morning, everyone!"
As they looked over their shoulders, they saw All Might walking toward them, wearing a nice, yellow suit, with Nyx perched on his shoulder.
She fluttered off hurriedly and landed on Momo's shoulder, her eyes popping out at the shiny necklace in the girl's hands.
On the other side, sighing in relief, the staff member bowed and left. Behind her, Bakugo still eyed her menacingly as she disappeared.
"Sir…" Tsuyu said, a hint of a wide smile still visible on her face as she held a bracelet. "… Where are we going?"
Tenya and others nodded, now getting smothered by curiosity.
All Might cleared his throat. "All right," he said, "I think it's time to let you all know the location of your Hero Site Visit. Have you heard of — I-Island?"
Knew it! Luke nodded inwardly to himself, letting out a breath.
Many things depended on their Site visit to this particular place.
Among the students, though, only a few truly knew about I-Island.
Tenya's hand shot up, but Midoriya was faster. "Isn't that the mobile Island in the Pacific Ocean?!"
"You are right, young Midoriya!" All Might said, giving him a thumbs-up. "I-Island is an Artificial Island with over ten thousand scientists. Their research is centered on Quirks, Quirks Support Items, and Quirks' effects on different species and society at large.
"Every year, in December or January, the I-Island holds an event called I-Expo, where it showcases its yearly research and various advancements publicly. You cannot attend the event without having exclusive Invitations."
Momo raised her hand. "Sir, how did UA secure so many Invitations?" she asked. "I attended the event when I was in Junior High with my father. But even he was allowed only three Invitations."
"Haha!" All Might laughed. "You can thank Luke's father for that."
Luke kept his head straight, again feeling the eyes on him.
Unlike everyone, his father buying over twenty Invitations didn't surprise Luke at all.
Saionji Group was a major shareholder of the I-Island and invested billions of dollars every year in its research.
Luke's father, Mr. Reijirou Saionji, had recruited over ninety percent of the scientists at the Blue Site from I-Island. Not only that, most of the research from the island was directed to Blue Site through various channels.
The siphoning of research was to such an extent that in his previous life, before leaving the Blue Site for good, Luke had already become the de facto head of the Quirk Engineering Department of the I-Island.
"Do not worry about technicalities," All Might said, seeing the questioning looks. "Focus on gaining as much experience through this event. Of course, having a little fun wouldn't harm anyone. Haha!"
Bright smiles surfaced on everyone's faces as All Might called the staff to take everyone to the jet.
Among the students, Luke used Clown's abilities to mimic those smiles as well.
Because only he knew that everyone would come back with not only joyful experiences, but —
— horrible and unnerving ones as well.
