Chapter 9 - ch - 9 System Rewards

Alex held Rina gently in his arms, marveling at the soft warmth of her tiny body. The evening light from the window painted the room in gold and amber, casting long shadows that seemed to dance in harmony with the little Pokémon's faint divine glow.

Then, suddenly, a soft ding echoed in his mind.

[System Notification]:

Congratulations, Master. You have received:

– God-Level Pokéball

– Divine Eye

A sudden coolness swept over Alex's eyes, sharp yet refreshing, like a gentle breeze scattering fog from his vision. His breath caught.

"System… what just happened?" he asked, voice barely above a whisper.

"Master, the Divine Eye is one of the most powerful ocular abilities in all existence. It allows the user to perceive the truth of any living or non-living being, analyze hidden mysteries, and see through all illusions," the system replied, calm and reverent.

Alex's chest tightened, awe and disbelief warring with excitement. He instinctively looked down at Rina, cradled against him, and activated the Divine Eye.

A brilliant, transparent screen appeared, floating before him like starlight made manifest:

Name: Ralts (Primordial)

Level: Third-Level God

Potential: Infinite

Type: Psychic / Fairy / Space

Gender: Female

Special Ability: Goddess Battle Form – Grants full control over time-space, elemental forces, and divine immunity. Emits a passive aura that nullifies weaker abilities.

Alex froze. His first Pokémon… wasn't merely strong. She was legendary, her very existence bending reality, a creature born of divine will. Gratitude, awe, and protectiveness surged through him all at once.

"Rina… would you… be my first Pokémon?" he whispered, voice trembling.

Her tiny head tilted, and crimson eyes glittered with joy. Without hesitation, she pressed herself against his chest, nuzzling him with a warmth that made his heart ache with affection.

Alex laughed softly. "Then let's make this official."

He tapped the God-Level Pokéball lightly against her forehead. Light exploded around them, soft yet radiant, and in an instant, she was drawn inside. A crisp, magical ding! signaled her capture.

[System Notification]: Ralts has been successfully captured.

When Alex opened the Pokéball again, Rina leapt into his arms, golden light trailing behind her like stardust. She nestled into him as though she'd always belonged there, as though this was exactly where she was meant to be.

Alex's lips curved into a wide smile. "You're perfect… powerful, loyal… and mine. Thank you, goddesses."

Far above, in her palace of moonlight and stars, Mera watched. Silver hair shimmered in the glow of her throne, eyes softened by pride and affection.

"So gentle… and already a bond stronger than most mortals could hope to form," she murmured. Her fingers brushed a thread of divine energy through the cosmos, faintly touching Alex's shoulder. Warmth flooded him subtly, a reminder that he was never truly alone.

The afternoon slipped by as Alex played with Rina, laughter filling the room. Her psychic sparks danced lightly across the walls; her tiny form twirled in joy, and each movement reminded him that she wasn't just a Pokémon—she was a companion, a friend, and a gift.

Then, his gaze drifted to the wall clock. Panic prickled along his spine.

"Oh no… dinner at Ash's house!"

Rina tilted her head curiously. Alex smiled, brushing her soft hair. "It's not that I don't want you with me. I'd love nothing more. But you're too special—too extraordinary—to show everyone right now. When I'm strong enough, I'll let you stand beside me, proudly, for the whole world to see."

Her crimson eyes met his. After a moment, a faint psychic glow radiated from her fingers. With a shimmer, she willingly entered the God-Level Pokéball.

Alex exhaled in relief, admiration swelling in his chest. He tied the Pokéball to a fine black thread and wore it around his neck like a pendant, resting it over his heart.

Taking a final breath of evening air, he stepped out into the quiet streets of Pallet Town. Shadows stretched long, but in his heart, the world was bright. With Rina safely with him, he walked toward Ash's house.
