'Its strong...' he thought, as the giant swung its large axe in its hand towards him. "But, no matter how strong, physical attacks won't work against me," he muttered, and as predicted the axe stopped midair, very close to him, but not moving farther ahead.
Min-Jae simply extended his hand. 'Telekinesis will be enough,' catching the axe in the giant's hand with his telekinetic energy, and with slight pressure added, the axe completely shattered into pieces in the blink of an eye.
"Blue," he muttered, as he teleported high above, equalizing the giant's head level.
The air around him compressed violently, a sphere of crushing gravitational force materializing around the giant's upper body. The creature didn't even have time to roar. Its horned head caved inward first, the thick skull crumpling like paper under the immense pressure. Cracks spider-webbed across its gray skin as the force intensified, and then—with a wet, thunderous sound—the giant's entire torso imploded, armor and all. The massive body crumpled, folding in on itself before collapsing to the ground in a heap of twisted metal and flesh.
Min-Jae immediately teleported higher, positioning himself to have a clear picture of the whole situation below him, and a total count of the giants around him.
'It seems the one I took down was the weakest of them.' Min-Jae figured out. '10 of them, scattered around here. There are some going forward too.'
He looked down on the huge giants towering as tall as large buildings, each one a mountain of muscle and malice. Their gray skin was battle-scarred and thick, covered partially by crude armor plates that looked more ceremonial than practical. Matted, coarse hair sprouted from their heads and backs, and curved horns—some chipped, some pristine—jutted from their skulls at various angles. They were not unarmed either; they each had huge swords, and some had axes like the one he had just destroyed.
'Where to start?' He thought, looking down, when suddenly he realized there were helicopters circling around him at a respectful distance. 'I guess that's how they're covering the whole thing.'
His eyes scanned the battlefield below, calculating, assessing. Then he spotted it—three giants clustered relatively close to each other near what used to be a shopping district. Perfect.
Min-Jae vanished from his position and reappeared directly above the trio.
The first giant noticed him immediately, raising its massive sword in a defensive posture. Min-Jae didn't give it the chance to do anything more. He thrust his hand downward, and an invisible force slammed into the giant's chest like a battering ram. The creature stumbled backward, its feet carving deep trenches in the asphalt, but it didn't fall. Strong. These ones were definitely stronger than the first.
'Interesting,' Min-Jae thought, a ghost of a smile touching his lips.
The giant roared and swung its sword upward in a wide arc, the blade cutting through the air with frightening speed. Min-Jae didn't move. The sword stopped dead three meters from him, caught in an invisible grip. He closed his fist slowly, and the metal began to groan. The giant pulled with all its might, muscles bulging, veins protruding from its gray skin, but the sword wouldn't budge. Then, with a sound like a cannon blast, the blade exploded into countless fragments.
Before the giant could process what happened, Min-Jae flicked two fingers forward. The giant's massive body lifted off the ground as if gravity had simply decided it no longer applied. It rose higher, higher, flailing helplessly in the air, and then Min-Jae slammed his hand down. The giant plummeted, crashing into the earth with such force that the ground cratered beneath it, buildings nearby shaking from the impact. It tried to rise, pushing itself up on one massive arm, but Min-Jae made a crushing motion with his hand. The giant's spine snapped audibly, and it collapsed, lifeless.
The second giant was already charging toward him, having witnessed its companion's demise. This one carried a double-bladed axe and moved with surprising agility for its size. It leaped, bringing the axe down in a devastating overhead strike.
Min-Jae teleported.
He reappeared behind the giant, level with its broad back. "Red," he said quietly.
A repulsive force erupted from his position, striking the giant's back like an invisible explosion. The creature was launched forward with tremendous velocity, its massive body tumbling through the air before crashing through the remains of a building. Concrete and steel rained down as the structure collapsed partially on top of it.
But the giant emerged from the rubble, bleeding from multiple wounds but still standing. It roared—a sound of pure rage and defiance that echoed across the battlefield. Its armor was cracked, hanging in pieces, and one of its horns had broken off, but its eyes burned with fury.
'Resilient,' Min-Jae noted with mild interest.
The giant charged again, slower this time, more cautious. It swung its axe in a horizontal sweep, then immediately followed with a vertical strike, trying to catch Min-Jae off guard. Each swing was calculated, deliberate. This one had learned.
Min-Jae raised a single finger.
The giant froze mid-swing, its entire body locked in place. Its eyes widened in confusion, then terror, as it realized it couldn't move—couldn't even breathe. Min-Jae slowly closed his raised hand into a fist, and the giant's body began to compress. Armor shrieked as it bent inward, bones cracked like dry wood, and the axe clattered to the ground as the giant's grip failed. In seconds, the creature collapsed into itself, a grotesque sculpture of twisted limbs and shattered armor.
Now the third One, 'Just Reckless attacks. They are all mindless beasts after all.'
He extended both hands, and the giant's legs simply stopped working. It toppled forward, its momentum carrying it into a skidding crash that tore up the street. It scrambled, trying to crawl forward with its arms.
Min-Jae teleported directly in front of it. The giant's head snapped up, meeting his eyes. For a moment, they simply looked at each other—the towering monster and the human who stood before it without fear.
"Blue."
The compression sphere formed around the giant's head and shoulders. It tried to scream, but the sound was cut off as the pressure intensified. Its arms flailed wildly, clawing at the invisible force, but there was nothing to grasp, nothing to fight. The gray skin darkened, then split, and then the sphere collapsed completely. The giant's upper body was simply gone, erased by the overwhelming gravitational force, leaving only legs and lower torso that fell limply to the ground.
'Seven more,' he thought, already calculating his next move. He wasn't even breathing hard.
