Chapter 41 - CH. 41 : Going To Japan

After packing everything he needed for the Japan raid, Min-Jae received a phone call from Han Semi.

"Hello, what's going on?" she asked immediately as he picked up.

"What's going on? I didn't know that was the new way of starting a phone conversation," Min-Jae said, sitting down on his bed.

"Come on, I mean about you going to Japan?" she asked.

"Where did you hear that?"

"You are going or not?"

"Yes, I am. You know about the dungeon break, right? It's really chaotic at the moment. And if it's not stopped soon, then all of Asia will be in danger. So I'll be going."

"I see. I would have offered to join, but I don't think I'd be of any help at the moment anyway," she said.

"Sorry to say, but that's right."

"Okay then. Good luck. That's all I can say now."

"Thanks."

**Three Hours Later**

The Hunter Association of Korea and the Hunters Guild held a press conference announcing that S-Rank Hunter Cha Min-Jae of the Hunters Guild would be joining the Japan Tokyo raid as part of cooperation between the two countries.

As the press briefing and conference took place, the news of Cha Min-Jae going to Japan for the S-Rank Dungeon Break spread across the country and then throughout the world.

Due to the Jeju Island incident and raid he'd participated in, his reputation had already spread globally. The news of him joining the Japan Tokyo S-Rank raid was big news.

Afternoon

Cha Min-Jae took an afternoon flight from Seoul Airport. At around 19:30 local time that evening, the flight landed in Tokyo. The chairman of the Japanese Hunter Association was there to receive him at the airport.

"Welcome, Hunter Cha Min-Jae," he said. One of the people—probably assigned for translation—started to translate it into Korean, but Min-Jae stopped him.

"I can understand Japanese. No need."

[Note: He hears everything being translated directly, like watching an English dub of anime, so he doesn't need translation. This was stated before.]

"So, what's the situation currently?" Min-Jae asked. He was already sensing the giants and the gate from where he stood.

"The giants have spread out from Tokyo in all directions. But it's clear that the highest number of giants have moved toward the southwest direction from Tokyo. They've already caused massive destruction in Yokohama and Kamakura, and the largest concentration of giants is currently there, moving toward Osaka."

"What about the other locations?"

"Japanese hunters and a few foreign hunters have been working to contain those threats. But because the number of giants moving toward Osaka is so high, many hunters have lost their lives trying to stop them."

"I see. So currently, there are no hunters in the southwest to stop the giants from reaching Osaka, right?"

"Yes, that's the case. We've contacted many hunters from different countries, but they're currently busy dealing with gates in their own countries."

"Then I'll prioritize Osaka first. Stopping the giants moving that way," Min-Jae said, understanding the situation. 'If I were Sung Jin-Woo, I'd say I could take on all the giants in all directions at once. But I don't have shadow soldiers like him, so I can only be in one place and work at one place at a time.' He thought, realizing just how overpowered the shadow soldiers were for Sung Jin-Woo.

"Are you sure you can contain such a huge number of giants on your own?" the chairman asked.

"If I couldn't, I wouldn't be here. The question is, are the civilians evacuated?"

"Yes. They've been taken as far from Tokyo as possible, before the dungeon break."

Min-Jae nodded. "I'll leave then."

Saying this, he immediately teleported out of the airport.

---

Min-Jae teleported once, then again, then again—covering massive distances in seconds. He speed-blitzed toward the southwest direction, moving faster than any vehicle could.

Within minutes, he was already past Yokohama.

---

Three Japanese A-Rank hunters were locked in combat with a single giant.

The creature was massive— tall almost equal to a hug building, Grey skin, thic hair, armor and horns are it's distinguish appearance. It swung its fists and axe wildly, each strike powerful enough to demolish a building.

The three hunters coordinated their attacks as best they could. One was a tank, blocking and parrying with a massive shield. Another was a mage, launching fire spells that barely singed the giant's skin. The third was an assassin-type, darting in and out, trying to find weak points.

But the giant was unfazed.

It reached down and grabbed a nearby car—a wrecked vehicle that had been abandoned on the road. With a roar, it hurled the car at the three hunters with terrifying force.

They moved to dodge—

But the car stopped mid-air.

It hovered for a split second, then was thrown away, crashing into a nearby building.

The hunters looked up in confusion.

The next second, a figure flew up past them—a blur of motion—and landed a single punch directly into the giant's face.

The force of the impact was devastating. The giant's head snapped back violently, its entire body lifted off the ground for a moment before it crashed backward into the earth with a thunderous *boom*. Dust and debris exploded outward.

The giant wasn't done yet though, as it stood up.

Min-Jae landed lightly on the ground, brushing dust off his jacket.

The three hunters stared at him, wide-eyed.

"What are your ranks?" Min-Jae asked, looking at them.

One of them finally found his voice. "A-Rank. All three of us."

Min-Jae nodded. "Leave this place. It's about to get messy."

"But—"

"That wasn't a suggestion. Go."

The three hunters exchanged glances, then nodded reluctantly. They turned and retreated, moving as fast as they could back toward the safe zone.

Min-Jae turned his attention forward, where he could sense dozens more giants approaching.

He cracked his knuckles.

"Alright. Let's get to work."
