In Floatia, Jijimon was wandering around, checking on all the Digimon who lived there.
"More and more Digimon are starting to return to the village." said Jijimon. "I wonder how the human children are doing?"
Suddenly, a portal of light appears behind him, startling him.
"What is the Digital World..." Jijimon started to say before Lincoln, his friends, and their Digimon come tumbling out of the portal and onto the ground.
"That was a rough landing." said Rusty as he and the others start getting up.
"Welcome back, children." said Jijimon.
"Hey, Jijimon." said Zach.
"Judging by the fact that you came out of one of Taomon's portals I'd say you found him." said Jijimon.
"Yeah." said Clyde as he and the others look away with sadness, which Jijimon noticed.
"What's wrong?" asked Jijimon.
"Taomon's... gone." said Stella, shocking Jijimon.
"What happened?" asked Jijimon.
"Some Digimon called NeoDevimon showed up." said Lincoln.
"Taomon fought hard, but NeoDevimon won." said Clyde.
"I am so sorry to hear that; we may haven't gotten along well, but he was still a good Digimon." said Jijimon. Lincoln takes out his journey and opened it to the page that had the map Taomon made for them.
"But before Taomon faded away, he made this map for us." said Lincoln.
"He said it would lead us to artifacts that would help our Digimon Digivolve to their ultimate levels." said Stella.
"Interesting; do you children plan on finding them?" asked Jijimon.
"Definitely; NeoDevimon's still out there." said Zach.
"We might run into that varmint again." said Liam.
"So, it's important we find these artifacts or next time we encounter NeoDevimon, he might do something really bad to us." said Clyde.
"Jijimon, do you know of someone named Titamon?" asked Lincoln. Jijimon freezes up in response to Lincoln's question.
"Him?!" replied Jijimon. "What's that fiend have to do with all this?!"
"NeoDevimon works for him." said Stella.
"Titamon; now that's a name I was hoping I wouldn't hear again!" said Jijimon.
"Who is he?" asked Lincoln.
"He is a Digimon born from pure hatred." said Jijimon. "His energy is practically limitless."
"He sounds tough." said Rusty.
"He is a Mega Level Digimon." said Jijimon.
"How strong is that?" asked Liam.
"Let's just say that ten Taomons couldn't beat him easily." said Jijimon.
"How are we supposed to beat someone like that?" asked Agumon.
"The fact that he hasn't come to Logic Volcano personally means he has something he considers far more important in the works." said Jijimon.
"What do you think he's up to?" asked Zach.
"I am uncertain, but it can't be good." said Jijimon.
"So, what now?" asked Gaomon.
"Until we know Titamon's plans, you kids should all focus on finding those artifacts; something tells me that you might be needing them." said Jijimon.
"At least it'll give us a chance against NeoDevimon or any other Ultimate Level Digimon that might be working for him." said Clyde.
"But where should we start?" asked Gotsumon.
"Let me see your map." said Jijimon. Lincoln hands Jijimon his journal who opens it to the map that Taomon made and looks at it.
"Looks like the closest one is in MOD Cape." said Jijimon.
"How do we get there?" asked Clyde.
"The area is west of the Nigh Plains." said Jijimon. "You better prepare yourselves for the journey."
"As long as it doesn't involve going through a desert and up a volcano." said Rusty.
"We'll go tomorrow." said Clyde. "We've all had a long day." The others nod their heads in agreement.
"I'm gonna check on the fields and see how much is growing." said Liam.
"We'll get some water ready." said Rusty as he, Zach, and Stella head off towards the lake they battled Seadramon. Everyone goes off to do their preparations for their next journey.
That night, as everyone was lying on their floor mats, they couldn't help but think about NeoDevimon destroying Taomon.
"Do you think those artifacts are going to help us against someone like NeoDevimon?" asked Zach.
"Taomon was an Ultimate Level Digimon, but he couldn't beat him." said Clyde.
"I'm not sure, but it should at least give us a chance." said Lincoln.
"And we have nothing better to do until we can find a way back to our world." said Rusty.
"Let's just get some sleep." said Liam. "We don't want to be too tuckered for when we get to that MOD Cape place."
"Good call." said Lincoln. Even with their minds filled with what happened to them that day, the kids managed to get to sleep.
The next morning, after the kids and their Digimon have breakfast, they all pack up some provisions and head over to the front gate.
"Ready, guys?" asked Lincoln.
"Ready is my middle name." said Rusty.
"Isn't Norbert your middle name?" asked Stella, making Rusty look away.
"Don't mention that!" said Rusty, getting everyone else to chuckle.
"So, are we all ready to get going?" asked Zach.
"You bet." said Liam.
"Be careful, kids." said Jijimon.
"We will." said Lincoln. The kids exit Floatia and start heading off towards the MOD Cape to look for their first artifact. As they travelled along a mountainside, Vilemon was watching their every movement.
Back with Titamon's group, his generals were watching everything that Vilemon was looking at.
"Keep your eyes on them, Vilemon." said Phantomon.
"Why didn't you finish those kids at Logic Volcano, NeoDevimon?!" asked MetalTyrannomon.
"They are no threat, and therefore, not worth the time and effort." said NeoDevimon.
"For now, anyway." said Phantomon. "But what if they find the artifacts and become a lot stronger?"
"It would be best if we take care of those kids now!" said MetalTyrannomon.
Back with Vilemon, he was adjusting his footing on the cliff he was on, when he accidentally knocks a few rocks off the side of it, getting the kids' and their Digimon' attention.
"What was that?!" asked Stella. They all look up to see Vilemon watching them.
"Busted." said Vilemon.
"What is that thing?" asked Clyde, taking out his Digivice and points it at Vilemon.
"That's Vilemon; Champion Level, Evil Type, Virus Attribute." said Clyde. "It's special attack's Nightmare Shocker." Back with Titamon's generals.
"Blast; they spotted Vilemon!" said NeoDevimon. "Vilemon, destroy those kids, and their Digimon now!"
"Yes, NeoDevimon." said Vilemon.
"Did that thing say NeoDevimon?" asked Stella.
"It must work for that snake in the grass!" said Liam. Vilemon swoops down from the cliff towards the group, prompting the kids' Digimon to step inbetween them and Vilemon. The kids pulled out their Digivices and used them to Digivolve their Digimon to their Champion Levels.
"Scratch Beat!" said Vilemon, forming darts of energy in its hands and throws them at the Digimon, hitting them, and making them stagger back.
"So, you want to play rough, huh?" asked Gaogamon.
"Of course." replied Vilemon. "Nightmare Shocker!" Vilemon fires supersonic waves from its mouth at Gaogamon, but he jumps up and dodges them.
"Spiral Blow!" said Gaogamon, releasing a vortex of wind from his mouth that hits Vilemon, knocking it back, but it stayed in mid-air.
"Razor Wind!" said Reppamon, swinging his tail and releases a blade of wind from it and it hits Vilemon.
"Smashing Kick!" said Leomon, leaping at Vilemon and kicking it to the ground with the heel of his foot; Vilemon struggles to get up.
"Sunshine Beam!" shouts Sunflowmon as she fires off a powerful beam of light from her face that hits Vilemon, sending it flying into a cliff wall.
"Powerful Punch!" said Golemon as he hits Vilemon with a energy-coated fist, driving it further into the wall.
"Finish this, GeoGreymon!" said Lincoln.
"You got it!" said GeoGreymon. "Mega Flame!" He releases a powerful blast of fire from his mouth which overwhelms Vilemon, causing its body to start crumbling.
"NOOOOOO!" shouts Vilemon as its body completely disintegrates.
Back at Titamon's domain, the image of what Vilemon was looking at completely turns to static.
"Vilemon's been destroyed!" said MetalTyrannomon.
"Call technical support!" said Cerberusmon.
"This isn't a TV, you fool!" said Phantomon.
"Enough!" shouts NeoDevimon. "We have other Vilemon to keep an eye on those kids."
"Hopefully the next one won't be as careless as the first one was." said Phantomon.
Alongside a stone wall with small caverns in it, another Vilemon comes out and flies off.
"What do we do now?" asked Cerberusmon.
"We'll see how things play out and act from there." said NeoDevimon. "In the meantime, we will be patient and wait for Lord Titamon to finish energizing his sword."
Back with the kids, they were talking about their most recent battle.
"I think that Titamon is spying on us." said Zach.
"We obviously got his attention." said Stella.
"We definitely need to hurry and get those artifacts." said Clyde.
"Then let's get going." said Lincoln.
The kids and their Digimon soon set off again for the MOD Cape. What other dangers await them as their adventure continues?
