Chapter 99 — Love That Kills Gods
---
Location: Skyward Battlefield — Edge of the Divine Rift
The heavens tore open.
Dozens of Watchers hovered, wings wide, voices like earthquakes as they called out ancient laws.
> "THE SEAL IS CORRUPTED."
"THE KEY HAS TURNED."
"ALL MUST BE ERASED."
But Yuuto didn't flinch. Standing beside Aika — bodies glowing in cursed crimson and divine gold — he smiled.
> "Let's rewrite those laws, shall we?"
---
Full Awakening: Dual Form
Their hands clasped. In that moment, the powers inside both of them exploded.
> Aika's body bloomed with cursed sigils — wings of living darkness, eyes glowing like twin moons, chains wrapped around her form like armor.
> Yuuto's Divine Rejection Mark ignited — lines of gold raced across his veins, his blood burning like godfire, hair whipping like flame.
Their souls merged. For a moment — they became one.
> A single entity. A love-wrapped curse. A god-defying will.
> "We are no longer sinner and seal," they said in unison.
"We are the ones who chose each other."
---
The Battle
The Watchers attacked all at once — beams of judgment, blades of memory, divine fire that burned reality.
But it wasn't enough.
Yuuto and Aika tore through them.
> One Watcher fell as Aika's chain pierced its core.
Another shattered beneath Yuuto's punch, breaking like glass in divine air.
A rain of shattered halos fell.
Their world glowed in red and gold.
---
The Final Gate
A new force stirred.
The original Watcher — the one who cursed Aika centuries ago — descended.
Tall. Unblinking. Made of time and vengeance. Its voice cracked the earth.
> "YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN LOVED."
> "And yet I was," Aika whispered.
It struck — a blade of eternal erasure.
Yuuto moved first — intercepting it — the impact ripping half the battlefield apart.
> "GO!" he shouted.
"You're the real seal. You end it!"
Aika screamed — cursed wings wrapping around her — as she launched herself into the sky, higher than ever before.
---
Aika's Choice
Inside the Divine Gate — time froze.
Her body began to disappear. Her curse pulsed, hungry to devour everything.
She had one choice:
> Destroy the gods… but lose herself.
Seal them again… but be erased from Yuuto's life forever.
Her tears floated in the void.
> "I want to live… with him."
"But I won't let them hurt him again."
She whispered his name.
> "Yuuto…"
Then she screamed.
> "I CHOOSE LOVE."
Her body burst in a storm of cursed light, divine chains wrapping the gods, dragging them into the void.
> "NO!" they shrieked.
"NOT AGAIN!"
---
Yuuto's Last Moment With Her
On the broken rooftop, Yuuto knelt.
She landed beside him — fading — but smiling.
> "I broke the curse… for you."
> "Don't go," he begged.
"Not after all we've been through."
She touched his face.
> "Don't cry, my love. You made me feel human."
> "Aika—!"
She kissed him… soft. Slow. One last time.
And vanished.
