Chapter 98 — The Battle of Heavenfall
---
Location: Above Tokyo — Rift Between the Mortal and Divine Planes
The sky had become a battlefield.
The Watchers floated above, massive and faceless, their auras like collapsing stars. Below them, Yuuto stood with his shirt torn, his arm glowing with divine energy, and Aika behind him — her curse fully awakened, body wrapped in red-black sigils that pulsed like a heartbeat.
> "Yuuto," Aika whispered. "If you stay with me, you'll—"
"I'm not going anywhere," he growled, turning to her with fire in his eyes.
"They chose the wrong lovers to curse."
---
First Strike: Judgment Lance
A Watcher raised its hand — and a Judgment Lance, made of holy light and pure wrath, formed in the air.
> BOOOOM!
It struck down toward them like a meteor.
Yuuto stepped forward — his arm outstretched — and grabbed it.
> "Your 'divine' weapons don't work on someone who rejected you!" he shouted, the glowing crest in his palm devouring the lance.
Shockwaves leveled an entire city block.
The Watchers paused… as if surprised.
> "He devoured a God Weapon," Mayu whispered from the edge of the battlefield. "That's impossible."
> "No," Rei murmured. "That's love-fueled insanity."

Aika Awakens Further
Aika's body trembled. The curse wanted to lash out, to feed. But now… it obeyed her.
> "This is my pain. My body. My curse. And you're not taking it anymore."
She stepped beside Yuuto, lifting her hand — summoning Crimson Chains, forged from her own trauma, twisted into power.
> "Let me show you what a cursed girl can do when she's loved."
The chains flew upward — wrapping one Watcher's form. It shrieked without a mouth, writhing as Aika dragged it down from the sky.
It crashed into the rooftop beside them.
Yuuto didn't hesitate.
> "Die."
One punch — blessed by the Godkiller Mark — shattered its core.
---
But More Are Coming
The clouds split wider. More Watchers, now fully armed — halos of blades, wings of flame, eyes made of galaxies.
> "The Gate is almost fully open!" Mayu screamed. "If we don't stop them—"
> "Then this world ends," Rei finished grimly.
Yuuto turned to Aika.
> "Let's burn heaven down."
She smiled, tears in her eyes.
> "Together."
They launched upward — one cursed, one divine. Lovers bound by pain, fury, and defiance.
