The battle against Ron had reached its peak.
The rangers—Nick, Xandar, Chip, Vida, and Madison—stood battered, bruised under their suits, but far from broken. Their breathing was heavy, their auras flickering, yet their eyes burned with defiance. The battlefield around them was ruined—collapsed buildings, cracked roads, and the stench of mana and smoke filling the air.
Ron, the abyss wolf, was barely standing. His body was torn and bleeding, his dark energy leaking out like black smoke. Yet even in that state, his crimson eyes gleamed with madness.
"Still standing, are you?" Nick muttered, gripping his staff tighter.Ron chuckled darkly. "You little insects think this is enough to defeat me?""Guess we'll find out," Vida shot back, spinning her wand.
Udonna stood behind, her white cloak fluttering in the strong winds generated by the clashing energies. Her gaze was firm—no hesitation, no doubt. "Now, Rangers, combine your magic!"
"Right!" they all chorused.
The sky above began to swirl as runic symbols appeared in the air. Each ranger raised their ranger wands, channeling their magic essence through them.
"Fire!"
"Wind!"
"Water!"
"Nature!"
"Lightning!"
A spiraling sphere of multicolored light began forming at their center. The power was immense—so much that even Ron's corrupted magic faltered for a brief second.
"Let's finish this!" Nick shouted.
"Mystic Fury Strike!"
The beam of pure elemental magic shot forward like a divine spear, engulfing Ron entirely. His pained howl echoed through the field as the attack consumed him, light overpowering darkness. When the beam finally dissipated, all that remained was silence—and smoke.
Ron's charred body fell to the ground, unmoving.
The rangers stared at the scene, panting heavily, then gradually smiled.
"We did it…" Madison whispered.
"We actually won," Chip added, disbelief coloring his tone.
"Ha! Guess that's what happens when you mess with Mystic Rangers," Xandar said with a proud grin, leaning on his weapon.
Udonna smiled faintly, relief washing over her expression. "You've all done well—"
But she froze mid-sentence.
The ground trembled. A dark, pulsating light emerged from Ron's corpse. The air distorted violently as a large, glowing magic circle appeared beneath him—engraved with ancient abyssal runes.
Udonna's face went pale. "No… that's resurrection magic!"
The rangers staggered back as Ron's body began to levitate, the runes expanding outward. His once black fur turned metallic gray, his size increasing with every pulse of the circle.
"What the hell is happening?!" Vida shouted.Chip's voice cracked. "He's—he's getting bigger!"
Within seconds, Ron's corpse transformed into a giant abomination, towering above the city ruins, eyes blazing crimson. His howl shattered glass from miles away.
"ROOOOOAAARRRR!!!"
The shockwave alone sent the Rangers tumbling back.
Nick cursed under his breath. "You've got to be kidding me!"
Udonna's staff glowed faintly as she muttered a spell to reinforce the barriers, but she knew—the power radiating from Ron now was far beyond what they could handle in their current state.

Present moment
"Oh shit…" Zayne muttered, his head tilted upward as his visor reflected the monstrous form of the reborn Ron towering in the distance.
He exhaled softly, his tone dry. "It's a big one."
Before he could even react, a deep, stern voice rang behind him.
"You shouldn't be distracted in a battle."
CLANG!
Zayne barely had time to raise his saber, catching Koragg's descending strike just in time. Sparks burst as metal met metal, the shockwave cracking the ground beneath them.
"Oh, come on, you're seriously attacking me during a kaiju reveal?" Zayne complained, twisting his wrist and pushing Koragg's sword away before spinning low to sweep his legs.
Koragg blocked with his shield, sliding back a few meters, his eyes narrowing beneath his helmet. "Your tongue is as reckless as your movements."
Zayne grinned under his visor. "Thanks for the compliment."
With a burst of red energy, he vanished—his Jungle Fury form moving with the fluidity of a predator in its element. His strikes came swift and vicious, the way a megalodon hunts in deep waters—no hesitation, no mercy.
Koragg met him blow for blow.
The sound of their swords clashing echoed through the forest like thunder.
Clang! Clang! Clang!—Boom!
The shockwaves uprooted trees and sent waves of dirt spiraling into the air.
Zayne flipped backward midair, landing on a tree trunk before kicking off it, charging at Koragg with unmatched ferocity.
"Shark Beam!"
A crimson energy beam shot from his saber, spiraling like a torpedo toward Koragg.
Koragg crossed his shield and sword in front of him. "Dark Magic Beam!"
A sphere of black-purple energy erupted from his shield, clashing with Zayne's attack midair. The collision created a shockwave that rippled across the entire battlefield. The ground quaked, lightning streaking across the sky as if the world itself struggled to contain their power.
"Damn, he's really giving it his all," Zayne muttered, his visor flickering from the backlash.
He shot forward again, faster this time, his figure blurring. "Jungle Speed!"
Koragg's eyes glowed beneath his helmet. "Wolf Barrier!"
A hexagonal magic barrier appeared just as Zayne struck, but the impact shattered it instantly. Koragg slid backward, his feet carving lines into the soil.
The two continued their fierce dance, their movements now invisible to the normal eye—only flashes of red and purple darting across the battlefield.
Each collision produced a boom that shook the nearby city ruins. The tremors reached even the Mystic Rangers, who were now fighting Ron in their combined Megazord form.
"Whoa! What the—was that an earthquake?!" Xandar exclaimed inside the cockpit.
Nick frowned, eyes narrowing. "No… It's coming from that direction!"
Chip glanced at the display, watching energy readings spike off the charts. "Two power signatures… one of them's the red ranger we saw earlier!
"Vida gritted her teeth. "Just how strong is that guy?!"
Their Mega Dragon Megazord swung its massive staff, clashing against the giant Ron's claws, both sides releasing shockwaves that tore through the air.
Meanwhile, Zayne and Koragg were still locked in their duel—every strike faster, harder, more brutal.
Koragg's armor was dented in several places, and Zayne's suit emitted faint sparks from the stress, but neither slowed down.
"I admit," Koragg said between heavy breaths, his tone grudgingly respectful. "You are strong… but stronger warriors have fallen by my hand."
Zayne snorted lightly. "What's with villains and cringy dialogues?" he thought inwardly, side-stepping Koragg's next swing and countering with a backhand slash that grazed his armor.
Koragg's frustration built. He raised his sword skyward, chanting darkly."Cthulhu Call!"
The skies blackened instantly.
Nine massive, abyssal tendrils burst from the ground, twisting upward like serpents, converging into a single colossal orb—a dark sun radiating corruption and despair.
The sheer pressure made the air heavy. Even Zayne had to brace himself as the ground cracked beneath him.
Koragg's voice echoed, booming across the void."Drown in the abyss!"
The dark sun fired a beam the width of a skyscraper, tearing through space itself as it descended upon Zayne.
Zayne's playful demeanor faded. His breathing steadied, his posture shifted.
"…Finally getting serious, huh?" he muttered.
He raised his right hand, pointing a single finger skyward, his other leg resting on the raised one as he floated in midair, utterly calm.
"Then let's end this."
"Megalodon Apocalypse!"
A red-black vortex appeared above his fingertip, swirling violently as the spectral image of a colossal megalodon emerged—its jaw opening wide, lined with rows of ethereal teeth. Its roar drowned out everything else, even the cries of Koragg's magic.
The phantom shark lunged downward as Zayne directed it, the vortex following suit, colliding with the dark sun.
BOOOOOOOM!
The explosion was cataclysmic.
Waves of energy expanded outward like a nuclear detonation, tearing through the air, flattening everything in its wake.
Zayne's attack completely devoured Koragg's dark sun, the megalodon's jaws crushing it into nothingness before surging straight toward its creator.
Koragg's eyes widened in disbelief. "His attack… it's stronger than mine! No—I must stop this! I mustn't fail the Master!"
But it was too late.
The megalodon phantom collided with him, the impact so massive it sent a shockwave across the entire region.
BOOOOOOOOM!
The explosion engulfed everything—city ruins, the Rangers' zord battle, even Udonna—sending them all flying backward like rag dolls.
"AAAAH!" the Rangers screamed inside their cockpit as their Megazord was flung miles away.
Zayne's eyes widened beneath his visor. "Shit—too much power!"
He immediately extended his hand forward. "Innocence!"
A soft red barrier expanded rapidly, enveloping the entire city and deflecting the explosion's destructive wave—saving everyone… except Ron.
The abyss wolf roared one final time before being caught in the explosion's core, disintegrating into ash.
Zayne blinked once, then chuckled foolishly. "Oops… should've been more careful."
The rangers, still recovering inside their cockpit, rolled their eyes.Chip muttered, "That guy's insane…
"Vida sighed. "Tell me about it."
Even Udonna, floating on a magic barrier, looked at Zayne with disbelief.
Before Zayne could move again, a familiar voice echoed weakly behind him.
"You are indeed strong… but if my power wasn't sealed… I would have been more than enough to deal with you."
Zayne turned slowly. Koragg's kneeling figure came into view—his left knee on the ground, his right hand gripping his broken sword, embedded in the earth. His body trembled, his armor shattered, yet his will refused to yield.
Zayne didn't look surprised. His tone was calm, almost respectful. "As expected of Koragg."
Koragg's head tilted upward slightly. "I shall use Catastros to deal with you."
He slammed his sword into the ground, chanting,"Uthe Mejor Catastros!"
The ground quaked violently. A summoning rune spread beneath him, glowing ominously. Moments later, a mighty black horse emerged—its body forged in armor, eyes glowing crimson. Its neigh echoed like thunder.
The legendary zord, Catastros, stood tall behind Koragg, radiating dark energy.
Zayne stared, eyes glinting beneath his visor. "Finally."
He clenched his fist, the Jungle aura around him roaring to life once more.
"Call to the beast inside, free the megalodon." (A/N: Guys, it's still his shark zord, but in a different form and summoning style due to the jungle fury suit. Moreover, his zord evolved)
A beast phantom emerged from him, and from it, a massive red Megalodon Shark Zord emerged, its eyes gleaming with ancient ferocity.
Both warriors stood facing each other, their colossal partners looming behind them.
The air was thick with tension—two forces of nature about to clash.
Koragg's voice was low and steady. "This ends now."Zayne's reply came cool and sharp. "You're damn right."
The battlefield trembled once more.
Their final clash was about to begin.
To be continued.
